I live in Oakland, close to Lake Merritt in an 88-unit property. I was the manager at this property for many years before it was sold. I still live here (on the 2nd floor) and have had nothing but negative experiences with Tumble. It's absolutely the worst laundry service in the Bay area. Either the computerized system doesn't function or the washing machines are out-of-order. I've attempted to contact Tumble directly (no response) and I've let our current management team at this property know. It appears they have not been successful in rectifying the situation either. read more

I was reluctant to use Tumble because of the cost. I have a washer in my home but decided to try this service for heavy bedding. They did not disappoint. The same day service was so quick. The laundry pro came to pick up my clothes in less than an hour after I placed the order, and my fresh laundry were returned back to me in 4 hours - I was able to track the progress of my laundry using their app the whole time. They also have a team of agents to assist customers for any questions and requests regarding the order (under 10 minutes, as their system quoted me, but all my questions were answered in less than 3 minutes). I find their pricing strategy to be rather unique and a big bargain - a fixed price for anything you can fit in the BIG laundry bag they mail it to you free of charge! I injured my hand and it would have been hard for me to do laundry so Tumble come to the rescue! It was fast and convenient as the whole process took only a few hours. I had a note in the care instructions to dry my shirts on low because I normally hang dry and they followed my instructions as my shirts did not shrink. Well, once again I wasted 6 hours of my day off waiting for a "Tumble Pro" simply to accept my laundry. (There is a "check availability" feature, which showed that there was six hours of availability for my ZIP Code on the day in question ). I put in a request every half hour to no avail. They have a help chat on the app which states that they'll answer within 10 minutes. After three hours of waiting for an answer, I put in another request. An Obvious bot then answered that they'd have to send my question on to another team member. I guess the bot sent it to another bot? Who several hours later finally wrote back, "You may try placing an order again tomorrow morning." Genius. Just genius. I have to say, when the service works, it's awesome! The prices are excellent, and the laundry is done really well! The website says it takes about four hours, but it is closer to seven or eight hours end to end. When they do accept the laundry, there is a problem in that you never know when it is going to come back to you, so you're sort of stuck at home. The cleaner is supposed to hit a checkbox on the app called "cleaning" so at least you have an idea when they begin, but unfortunately Over the months my cleaners always forget to hit that button. So then I suddenly get a text telling me that the driver is just a few blocks away to return my clothes. I just wish they would figure out the peripherals because the course service - Laundry - is actually excellent. read more

Our building leases the Tumble machines but Tumble is responsible for repairs. We have had a broken dryer since April. It is now mid June. Repeated requests to Tumble to fix it have only gotten robot replies. I don't know if there are any humans working in customer service at Tumble for machines that are leased. In any case, if you are a building owner or manager hoping to have Tumble computerized machines installed in your building, I would highly recommend AGAINST it. They do not provide adequate service for their machines. read more

The notification system on their app doesn't work. I wasn't notified when my laundry was being picked up or dropped off. I had to keep checking the app and even then it was in a pending state until the driver showed up which was often a surprise and terribly inconvenient. I was in the shower once and had gone down the road to pick something up the other time. My clothes did not come back clean, there was stains on them and they smelled stale. They say the clothes will be dried on medium heat, but to make their margins and save time, the people doing the service, dry clothes on high. This absolutely destroyed my clothes and shrunk many items. When I provided this feedback, they gave me a credit which was great, but the next time I used them the clothes and the bag reeked of cigarette smoke. It was disgusting. I provided this feedback to them but no one responded this time. I also requested that they don't deliver clothes in giant plastic bags that cannot be recycled or at least reuse the bags (they already provide a fabric bag so why double bag?!), which they completely ignored and kept using new giant single use plastic bags! For what they are charging they should at least be able to provide reliable service and clean clothes! Definitely not using them again. read more

My friend without a washer and dryer turned me on to this company. They are so fast I received the bag via the mail quickly. The bag itself is huge ... I wish I hadn't hesitated on using them. It was as easy as ordering a pizza delivery. The laundry detergent is hypoallergenic. Laundry smells clean but not over powered by scent. Just nice fresh laundry. They will use your laundry detergent if you just throw it in the bag. Also they give you a coupon when a friend Jude's your link! read more

Tumble is an absolute godsend! I have a lot of laundry that needs to be washed at once, so it's great that people can pick up my huge bags. I don't have to break my arms trying to drag them all the way to a laundromat and back home. They have same day delivery, which is absolutely amazing! Sometimes I need my laundry done the same day, so I'm really relieved that I can depend on Tumble. The prices per bag are comparable, if not lower, in comparison to other laundry services, and they are much faster too. The app is very user friendly and intuitive. Customer service is also great! The staff respond pretty quickly. I hope they remain in business because I love their service! read more

Tumble is amazing and convenient! I have used the Tumble pick-up and delivery laundry service a few times now and my experience has been great. I love how you can customize your laundry preferences because I like my laundry smelling my favorite scent beads and dryer sheets, which I include when I send my laundry out. The app is easy to navigate and straightforward. I am usually very busy during the week so the last thing I'm thinking about is laundry. I just stick all my laundry in a Tumble bag and when it's full, I schedule a pick-up and a DoorDash driver is at my door within minutes. After a few hours, I have clean and folded laundry!
