This is a gem of a spot! Inexpensive, quick, absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I had a burrito,breakfast sandwich and chocolate banana bread. Such good portions. Breakfast sandwich was on a jalapeño cheese bagel, egg, cheddar cheese and sprouts-so good! We thought it would take so long because they were so busy but it was quick considering the amount of orders they had. And it was nice to check out the books while waiting on our food. AWFUL!!! I have never left a review of a restaurant, but am so mad about the rude service and inedible food. We got four burritos which were slapped together COLD. The beans and eggs were cold, the avocado was full of pit and there was something crunchy (egg shell?). The kitchen staff seemed to all be about 15 years old and I heard them rudely talking about how they should not allow call in orders ( which I had placed and consider normal). Disaster. Took a long time. Not a lot of customers so don't know why? We had to return to the hotel we had checked out of to heat the burritos in their microwave! However they were still inedible and we threw them all away. UNACCEPTABLE! Made us lose 30 precious minutes of checking out Yellowstone. Don't go here! PS-I prepaid them a tip on their annoying payment system that prompts you as you pay the bill. I regret doing that! read more

The Banjo sandwich and banana blueberry bars are great, and I would recommend coming early if you want the full selection of baked goods because it seems like they go pretty quick. read more

I needed a bite to eat and some internet. I drove from Yellowstone's Mammoth campground just 5 miles north to Gardiner and found Tumbleweeds. Advertising a cafe, bookstore and bakery, what more could I need? The sandwich (the "Cyrus") was delicious (though I may have overdosed on white bread!). The ice cream for dessert was perfect. We stopped here a couple times on our way into the park, and once on our way out for a late lunch. It's very simple but the coffee was soooo good. It's also one of the few places you can get iced coffee. The sandwich's are simple but decent. The coffee makes it 5 stars for me! read more

We went here for a late lunch with two hungry, picky kids. The sandwiches here are good AF. The staff here is good AF. Not even a sideways glance when I asked for my daughter's PB&J without the J. When I asked for my son's sandwich with all the veg on the side. Cook marched that food out like it was gold. Fresh ingredients and the focaccia bread was spot-on fresh. Coconut macaroon was inhaled by the two coconut-hating kids. Bought a book on a recommendation from the staff. This was about as friendly a lunch spot as you could ask for. Super cute, loved the dogs, and coffee was 10/10. They even used coffee ice cubes so it won't water down as it melts. Definitely recommend stopping and they also have things for sale with profits going to cancer research. The only thing I didn't like were the cardboard straws but I just took off the lid. Good coffee and chai, good sandwiches. You can buy books here, they have an assortment of fiction and non-fiction, plus photographs from Yellowstone. Plus free wi-fi and an outdoor area that's good whenever it's not -10 out. It's a nice, quiet atmosphere to hang out and read. I stop by whenever I'm in town. read more

Came in to grab some coffees for the road, and was pleasantly surprised to see such a cute cafe right outside of Yellowstone. Filled with traveler books/guides, old paperbacks for sale, and some couches and high stools for seating, this place offers a little bit of everything for everyone. I saw a few people on their laptops studying and others just hanging out. Workers were awesome and friendly, and the breakfast menu looked amazing, which includes egg sandwiches and bagels. I didn't get one myself but plan on getting one on my way out of Yellowstone. Chai latte was one of the better ones I've had in my life. Not too sweet, and just the right amount of spice. A large drip, regular latte and chai came out to be $7 and change. Highly recommend this place whether you're looking for a quick caffeine fix or a place to get some studying or work done. read more

Food was good but there were a number of frustrating incidents that led to my review. I called ahead by two hours to order sandwiches for our family to take into the park. When I arrived to pick up the order wasnt ready. I was told they were out of roast beef which was on three of the sandwiches. I had to adjust the order. Sitting in my bed, craving bagels... so I went to my trusty yelp. Sure enough there was a bagel place, and very close too! So my son and I went to this place. It was cozy, homey, and great all in one. My son got a bagel and I got a latte. My son said the bagel was amazing and my latte was incredible. Their blackberry jam was really good, unique, milder berry (berries are a big deal in this region of the country for both humanoids and bears). I suggest coming here, I surely will return. read more

Delicious sandwiches to go at a reasonable price. Unique atmosphere - bookstore and cafe. This was a great find! The only disappointment was that they did not give us one of the sandwiches that we ordered, and we did not find out about it until we were an hour away. We checked the receipt and they did not charge us for the sandwich, but my husband was very disappointed when he was eating at McDonalds as we were raving about our sandwiches! read more

I went in to get a coffee and eat a sandwich I had brought. They were very rude and asked me to not eat my sandwich. I explained that I was out of town and I didn't see any sign on their establishment offering sandwiches otherwise I would've just bought one from her. She still asked me to leave so I did and ate it in my car. When I tried to come back in and drink the coffee I had already purchased from them I explained that I really would've bought a sandwich from them if I knew. She asked me to leave very disrespectfully. I would not recommend anyone to go here they have horrible customer service and the coffee was overpriced and tasted awful anyway. This is a very cute, rustic looking coffee shop with some really amazing food. We've now eaten here several days in a row. Lots of local guide, hiking and coffee table books to enjoy while you wait. The WiFi was fast and the staff friendly, bonus that it is one of the most affordable breakfasts in the area as well. read more

So I would have given a much better review of this place but the customer service was mediocre and te wifi didn't work for anyone coming in the door. Out here the reason your customers come to a place like this (especially myself) is to use Internet in such a remote area. I brought the issue up several times and several complaints were made but the grumpy girls behind the counter made no effort to resolve the issue. I asked them politely if they would mind restarting the router. They reluctantly said they would and then didn't. Overall looks like a cute place to have coffee and eat but your employees need to learn to be a little more cheerful and a little more accommodating when customers bring up issues with your service. Learn to put on that fake smile if you have to. read more
