We heard it was the best breakfast outside Yellowstone. If you get there at 11:03 you're 3 minutes late for breakfast and the answer will be "no". They point to pictures of dogs that represent sandwiches. Very difficult to read. Ask them what you get with your sandwich? "A napkin" is the answer. All in all not very customer oriented. More of a take it or leave it attitude. And of all the sandwiches I've ever had...this was one of them. Average lunch meat on two thick pieces of focaccia bread ... too much bread. Just got in for a regular drip coffee and an iced americano. Iced americano never got ready. People after me were served and I asked nicely if iced americano that I ordered is getting ready soon. The reaction was a bit weird and the guy at the cashier and the girl making the coffee looked at each other and they told me they called out. However I was not called out and there was a weird vibe as if this was my mistake not to pick up my iced americano. The guy was nice and asked the girl to make another one. She ignored him as more other people were served. It was like 15 minutes and I asked another time if it will be taking longer as we were heading out for the park. The guy at the cashier asked the girl once again and the girl mentioned that it was already prepared in sort of a rude way that she was reluctant to make another one. It was getting annoying as we had to head out to the park. I was like I did not get it and we paid for it and possibly someone else must have taken it. I also started getting annoyed with the girl's reaction and I said I have been waiting for 20 minutes for an iced americano. There was a third person later on who brought the coffee and he apologized. However girl's reaction over shadowed all the effort the guys were making to save the situation. read more

Coffee was good. We got iced coffee and they use ice cubes made of coffee, which is a nice touch. However, we literally watched one of the girls drop a drink on her foot, use a rag from the sink to dry her foot, then use the rag on various times in the cafe. Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, we watched another girl literally drop a whole entire ham on the floor, laugh, leave it on the floor for about 20 seconds, pick it up, then put it back in the refrigerator. Customer service here was terrible!! The girl at the counter looked to be about 12 years old, checked her cell phone three times during our interaction. I came in to get a coffee and use the restroom. Coffee wasn't enough for a credit card and I didn't want $9 sandwich, as the place smelled like old meat. Ordered two scoops of ice cream and told the gal I'll just take it and put it in my freezer. Then asked if I could use the restroom before getting the ice cream, it was then she told me the restroom was out of order. Ok annoying, but no big deal. So I stood next to the ice cream waiting for my scoops and while the girl left to do dishes. 4 minutes went by and someone finally acknowledged me and asked what I was waiting for. Unsure if she was annoyed by me or her coworker she was cold and rude. When she finished scooping the ice cream I told her I would prefer a lid as I am taking this back to my freezer like I told the girl at the register. She scoffed, haphazardly threw a lid on, set the ice cream on the counter and turned away from me without acknowledging my smile or thank you. Avoid the hassle here, go across the street!! read more

VERY sweet little cafe in Gardiner that just started carrying Little Red Wagon, my favorite local coffee that I used to only get once a month on my trip into Bozeman! My cup runneth over. I was super excited when I saw this cafe because I used to have a bunny named Tumbleweed...so maybe my expectations were too high. Or, maybe we came upon the cafe at a bad time... Either way, there was only one girl who had to serve about 15 or so people in the time I was there. She ran out of coffee and became very hasty in making the espresso drinks. But, the food was pretty good still. Hopefully if I visit again there will be more staff... read more

Unfortunately we had a negative experience. We found the groupon offer. We intentionally went into the shop and asked prior to purchasing the offer. The young woman behind the counter was aware of it but did not want to share any details until after we had purchased the groupon. At that point everything we started to order she said it doesn't fit the groupon offer. Furthermore she was not helpful, rather short "read the fine print". So we read the fine print which states that we could order "menu items" which my understanding would not include the baked goods on the counter which were not listed on the menu but should include the smoothies and coffee which are listed on the coffee menu?! But the smoothies and coffee were not included. At this point she explained that her boss is upset with groupon and unlikely to do it again. The groupon offer had to be used by two people and not in the same day. So unenthusiastically we returned the next day. Both visits the self serve water jug was empty and more than 12 customers had to ask for cream for their coffee. Those are the facts of what happened, trying to remove my emotions or expectations. read more
