ABSOLUTE TRUSTWORTHY LEGENDS!…read more Being a good son I have been fixing up my Moms prized possession her favorite car. She would not take another car even if I offered her a Rolls Royce. So anyway the transmission was acting up (starting from 3rd gear instead of 1st) and I was short on time, which made me make a crucial mistake by taking the car to a nearby shop instead of B & J. Those little jerks at the other shop lied to me and tried to tell me I had to get a new transmission. They said they checked every milk and cranny and that it was 100% my tranny. The only thing is my Moms car shifts as smooth as an angels walking through the gates of heaven. Right away I called B & J (Who was originally my first choice, they were just further away so I didn't have time to pop over there) and B & J said that sounds like the solenoid, which the other shady shop said it is impossible for it to ever be. they said the Elvis would be brought back from the dead, before it was ever the solenoid that was making the transmission start from the wrong gear. Then the other shady shop said we checked your solenoids and they are clean and perfect like they were never used before. You could tell the guy was lying from his mannerisms, long pauses, shaky fingers and side to side eyes. Anyway I snagged my Moms car back and jammed to B&J and what's funny is when I walked in I told another guy who I didn't communicate with yet asked what the problem was and he's like "yeah, man that sounds like a solenoid" so yeah B & J replaced the Solenoid and the car runs like a reborn race car.

Every time I go into the mountains my transmission starts getting hot. For a while I've also had…read morethis banging clinking sound under my truck from stops and starts. I do a google search and it's just like looking for medical advice, according to google my truck is dying. I spoke with Alex and he said bring it in. I get a call later in the day and he says my transmission is fine but has some recommendations. I took his advice, they changed some valve in my transmission and also greased the driveline. Boom it's like a completely different truck. Alex might quite possibly be the last honest shop in town. Highly recommend!

Dropped off my mother's 2005 Toyota Matrix since it had approached 170K on the odometer. I had…read morepreviously recommended my fishing buddy Tom and his Toyota Sequoia for a transmission overhaul, and Tom was happy with Precision Transmission's work and reasonable price, so it was a no-brainer along with the handful of stellar Yelp reviews. Mother's Toyota Matrix had a slight whine before bringing it in, and Mr. Henry (very nice and professional, but what is most important to me is that he is very honest) educated me that it was the transmission bearings that may be getting old and eventually will go bad. But he also told me that the car was still good to run safely (even though the tranny bearings are getting old), and maybe even with some good maintenance and early and often fluid changes, might even last another 50K miles. Handed the key to my cute mother's cute little Toyota, and in 24 hours later received a phone call to come pick it up. While driving her Toyota Matrix home, it was shifting buttery smooth again. The feeling is like a fresh new oil change, the car just runs almost like new again without hiccups. Needless to say, i am satisfied just like my friend who had a whole new rebuilt transmission done. So now that i have a good and trustworthy mechanic/shop for my transmission work, i am going to be scheduling my BMW 530i and Nissan Titan to have both transmission fluids changed. Peace of mind is often worth more than the journey itself, and preventative maintenance is the way to go for me. But only, if my mechanic is honest and good at what he does. Precision Transmission gets busy. I am almost reluctant to post this review, since it is already hard to find parking the times i've been here. But Yelp has helped me find good merchants (this is how i initially heard about Precision T.), so it is only right that i return the favor.

I dropped the truck off with him and the repairs were exactly what he stated and the issue was resolved. His knowledge saved me the cost of pulling the transmission and transfer case, as the issue was with a module within the transmission. I would definitely recommend Henry and his shop.

If you need a person to treat you fairly, like family and take top notch care of your car, this is the place. I cannot wait to see what wonders he will be working with my Olds. Thank you, Aldo! Read on to see about my Scout II experience: I had used Aldo before for my 76 Scout II. He had rebuilt my Transmission , Transfer Case and Differentials. That was 20 years ago... The workmanship was excellent and the price was more than fair. Here we are now 20 years later and many many miles driven. The drivetrain was still working, but tired. Seals, bearings etc worn. Not bad for all the years driven. I called Aldo, and he took me in. He completely went through my transmission, transfer case, rear differential, and checked the front differential (It was still in perfect condition !!). I just got it back, and it drives better than ever !! He recommended an upgrade to the rear differential that would help performance and reliability. He was spot on !! I absolutely love it !!. Thank you Aldo and crew for all of your hard work. I have had my Scout since 1983, and I know with people like him, I will be able to keep it for many more good years to come. I highly recommend them. They go above and beyond, and their workmanship is superb !!!
