Seriously the best fried chicken sandwich. Tons of flavor and crispness to the breading, fried to perfection, and the juiciest and largest piece of chicken breast. Seriously was as wide as my hand formed into a fist (aka nearly three inches thick at it's thickest point). Loved the slaw served on the sandwich as well, and it makes such a difference that they warm the brioche buns on the griddle for extra flavor, warmth, and crunch. I've reminisced about this message quite a bit and while I probably love our beloved local Nonla Burger businesses slightly better overall, this sandwich has eclipsed their famous chicken sando for me, and that's about the highest praise I can give. The tots were ok but don't travel super well (better than French fries, but still a little limp once I got home). All of the staff were wearing masks, but two people (one front-of-house and one in the kitchen) had masks that had slipped down below their noses, which makes me super nervous, especially when it's people preparing my food. They did a good job offering socially distant ordering, and even offered to bring meals out to people's cars so it didn't get too crowded inside. read more

My favorite Kalamazoo area barbecue guy (Kelvin and Co.) opened a chicken place. Of course it's amazing! I got my sandwich "hot" so it's seasoned with a chili oil in addition to the standard pickles and slaw on a brioche bun. If I could petition Yelp to add a sixth star I would. Great, big hunk of perfectly fried chicken with the crunchy slaw and pickles adding some cool and crunchy contrast. The tater tots are also excellent with some black pepper adding just a little spice. Stop reading and go get in line already! read more

Doordashed this place , I had been wanting to try & see if this place held a candle to Nonla's and I was impressed. My chicken sandwich (Nashville style) was soooo good, crispy, and the turbo sauce was on point! I could do without the bread & butter pickles, I would have preferred dill pickles on the sandwich but the pickles themselves were good! The Mexican style tots were huuuuuuge, and I ordered the small? Was able to have lunch & dinner off this meal and was stuffed both times, and still had leftovers! Pretty decent experience for our first time here. Ordered two of the "Turbo chicken sandwiches" and two orders of their regular tater tots. The sandwiches were good, and we really liked the sauce that came on it. Chicken was crispy and the sweet pickles added nice flavor. The buns on each sandwich though were a bit on the soggier side, but still held everything together. The tater tots were also pretty decent. They had a nice seasoning on them, and paired well with just plain ketchup. Overall, not too shabby. I wish we would've tried some of their other sauce options, and even their chicken tenders but there's always next time. We will be back again. We found this place while traveling through town. The guy at the front desk was really nice and great at helping everyone/recommending items to people. The food was great and the dipping sauces were good too. The place is a little small but it was just big enough for us to stop in and grab a bite. There were only two tables plus a few bar seats at the window. Most of the foot traffic seemed to be getting their food to go. Worth a stop if you enjoy chicken sandwiches and tots. read more

Their food is delicious! I had been meaning to get here for at least a year when I finally made time to get here. Best decision! We ordered several things for everyone at our table so we could try a bit of everything to really give our opinion. Here is what we thought... The Turbo Chicken Sandwich was amazing. The chicken is a tender breast, hand breaded and fried to perfection. Whatever their turbo sauce is was really great. They did have a special sandwich when we were there that was really spicy and we loved it. We love spicy food so it was just as hot as we were willing to eat and enjoy. If you go and there is a special, you should try it because I doubt they could steer you in the wrong direction! The Totchos are crispy tator tots with pico, street corn, jalapeños, lettuce and sour cream. My mouth is watering just writing that. The other tots we had were called the Sunrise (I think). They were tots with gravy, green onions, cheese and a fried egg on top. We drank canned pop and our daughters had Capri Sun but they do have Malts!!!! Next time, I'm getting a malt with my chicken sandwich. We ordered ours to go but ate it there. There are a few tables inside. I believe most people get it to go. I live far enough away that they wouldn't taste very good after sitting in a bag for 35 minutes. If you haven't given your taste buds a try of Turbo Chicken, you're doing something wrong. The chicken sandwiches are juicy, which surprised me since it's breast meat. The breading is seasoned well and the bun is perfect. I would get extra pickles, two just isn't enough. My husband had the extra nasty nashy, and said it was hot but not too hot. Full disclosure, he eats a lot of spice. The burger was also delicious and how can you go wrong with tots? There is a seasoning on the tots so if that's not your thing, you may want to ask them to hold it. Will definitely be back. read more

Ate here for the first time on a Friday night around 6pm. Line was quick, we only waited probably 6 minutes for our food and there were a few others also waiting. the menu is straight forward and simple but it's chicken and tots, so it keeps it simple. My sister in law and I both got the #1 which is the original crispy sandwich. She got plain tots and I upgraded to the bacon and ranch loaded tots. The plain tots she said were good enough on their own they didn't even need ketchup. And my loaded tots were sooo good too even after our drive home. The pieces of chicken on the sandwiches were HUGE. I split mine with my husband and it basically filled up both of us. A great deal for only 5.50 for the sandwich! I also saw some tenders being boxed up while we waited and they looked killer! I also ordered a chocolate malt which was tasty as well. Can't wait to go back and try the tenders soon. This place is great. Little walk-in shop in a strip mall but big flavor. I was in Kalamazoo for the day doing work at Pfizer and went here before my meeting for lunch and after for dinner. I had the #1 sandwich combo for lunch (came with side of tots and sauce...I got the spicy ranch). The chicken on the sandwich was very liberally seasoned and cooked perfectly. The tots were hot and crunchy. And the ranch sauce was not just some Hidden Valley stuff mixed with hot sauce. It was actual scratch-made ranch sauce and was delicious. My dinner is in the picture...fingers and cheesy-bacon tots. Fingers are just like the chicken breast in the sandwich...seasoned and cooked well. The tots are delicious, too. Cheese sauce is definitely made, not cheez-whiz. 10/10 would eat here again if I didn't live in Pennsylvania. read more

Love the tater tots! I have been on a burger taste test i the greater Kalamazoo area and so I tried one from Turbo Chicken....it was great! The burger was tasty and juicy, the veggies were fresh and crispy and the bun was fresh. All and all the size was correct and the food was good and any place that has Faygo gets my vote. read more

First time here and I thought I would try the chicken sandwich after reading other Yelp reviews. I tried mine spicy which cost an extra $1. The sauce was pretty runny and I think I would get it without. The sauce made the bun a little messy and was just ok hot sauce. The chicken was perfect and very well battered and fried. So juicy. I may also try something else than the tots. Just store bought tots. I wish they had some type of homemade potatoes option instead. Homemade tots or fries. I luckily came prepared for my car dinning by bringing a container of ketchup and a pile of paper towels which was much needed for the sandwich. Maybe ask about them when you order? I personally did not receive napkins or ketchup in my order bag. It is a little tight in the lobby waiting for my order. Luckily it was not that busy when I went. I noticed everyone wearing gloves and masks, so thumbs at for that. I will definitely come back to try some of the other entrees they offer. read more

I can say that this place is a must try. I have not one complaint from the couple times I have had this chicken. the chicken always comes out hot and fresh. The tenders are well seasoned and juicy. the sand which has a great portion of chicken on it and good thick pickles. the tenders come with a side of their signature gravy but you may opt for one of their other sauces. The sandwich comes with some of their turbo sauce on it the most closely resembles white barbecue sauce. The place is small and quiet as well as somewhat tucked away. the service is phenomenal they are very kind and you can tell they truly care about making sure their food is the best it can be. They also have malts available and they are phenomenal. last time I went they had a limited time red velvet malt which might be one of the best deserts i've ever had. read more
