White chocolate chip pancakes and Brussel sprouts
    Tiffany N.

Enjoyable atmosphere. The music was jammin'. And because I was there early in the day, I got my meal quickly. The pancakes had crispy edges and were fluffy. They weren't too sweet (this is a positive) the compote and syrup add the sugar. The Brussels sprouts were seasoned well and also had a bit of crisp to them. I had enough for a small snack for later.

Best brunch I've had in awhile! Turn knows how to do biscuits. Fluffy, slightly crispy exterior, and pairs perfectly with their bacon and eggs to make the best breakfast sandwich (it normally comes on a croissant but I swapped it for the biscuit). The shaved brussel sprouts are flash fried and super light with an incredible flavor. It's easy to eat the entire portion which is generous for a side. My boyfriend had the arepa with chorizo and we agreed that both of our dishes were equally yummy. I've already made a res to return next week. This place is my new favorite brunch treat!

Brown Derby Cocktail! Uncle Nearest Bourbon, Honey, Grapefruit juice

Review Refresh! Brunch visit this day and room for me at the Bar. Arrival around Noon and it was packed! Started the visit with the Brown Derby cocktail, Uncle Nearest Bourbon - Honey - Grapefruit, it's got a kick and it's enjoyable! Refreshing finish with the Grapefruit while giving you a bang for the buck with the Bourbon. Meal, Breakfast Burrito - Add Bacon - no Beans - Add fries. Ok, the fries are fresh cuts which is an added bonus and they are seasoned!! The fries are what you need if you are having Brunch Cocktails. They are cooked perfectly and there's an ample amount. The Burrito is fat with eggs and toppings! I left this meal just on the cusp of too full. Lol!!

The biscuit flight is such an excellent idea. I would solely go back to have that again. I got an iced mocha as well that was delicious. I got a seasonal sweet potato dish, and other dishes that we got included a burger and chicken and waffles. Service was ok as it was a crowded Sunday morning and it was a little bit noisier of an atmosphere, but not enough to dissuade me from going again.

Great breakfast experience with background music that sends me to my happy place. Started with knowledgeable wait staff terrific chai latte followed by Brie BLT that was light flavorful with crisp bacon and fresh greens. I opted for the Brussels sprouts as my side- winner winner winner. So yummy. My friend chose the Arepa. It's a corn cake with an egg and chicken chorizo on top. We both agreed the egg was cooked to perfection, the corn cake while tasty was a bit dry. We also shared one biscuit with gravy. It was absolutely wonderful. Next time I will try their biscuit flight.

If you're in St. Louis, you absolutely must visit Turn Brunch, where Chef Sympho takes brunch to a whole new level! From the moment you step in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff set the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience. The highlight, of course, is the food! Chef Sympho's creativity truly shines in every dish. Chef Sympho's passion for culinary excellence is evident in every bite. It's clear that he puts a lot of thought into not just the flavors, but also the presentation. Overall, Turn Brunch is a must-visit spot for food lovers and brunch enthusiasts alike.

My goodness so good! The dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. My husband had to resist the temptation to lick the plate. Paid street parking only.

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day. It was last minute and they sat us right away! Service was great, the workers were friendly and the food came out fast. The food was soooo good. We ordered the biscuit flight first and the first bite set the tone. All the food was so good. 10/10

This was my third time coming to Turn. I enjoy the casual atmosphere and chill vibes. The music is a plus as well. I've only been on the weekend and the crowd has varied each time. I'd def say this is a place for everyone. Food: Everything we've had was great, my favorite is the fries! Check out my pics to see how scrumptious and seasoned they are! On this recent visit, we had the special menu burger and the turkey club. In addition to a mimosa carafe, which is fairly priced at $34 Only rating 4 stars because the menu is a bit limited for my personal preference. Would give 4.5 but other than that, 5 stars all around! Great spot in midtown area and the owner will even walk around to greet and check on patrons. Customer service is stellar. Make a reservation if you think it'll be busy!

Munchin' + Brunchin' at TURN! One of many gems in the Grand Center Arts District, Turn Restaurant combines Chef David Kirkland's love for the culinary arts with his enjoyment of all things music. The menu leans into health-centered American comfort food--the kind of earthy dishes you can devour and still take on the day feeling like a million bucks! From the tall windows that flood the dining room with sunlight to the ever-changing wall of vinyl records, this is an absolutely energizing place to begin your day. Brunch Hours Wednesday-Friday 9am-2pm Saturday-Sunday 9am-3pm P.S. The unbelievable mural across the street serves as the perfect backdrop for an impromptu photo shoot!

Looked on the web for "breakfast near SLU baseball field" and Turn came up with a comment that said "best breakfast I've ever had." Piqued our curiosity. And when we walked in to this hip room with GREAT music and were asked if we had a reservation, we knew we'd hit pay dirt -- what brunch places need reservations? This one. The chef was a DJ and restaurateur in San Francisco who returned to St. Louis some years ago. "Turn" is so named because of the display of records on the wall (hall of fame of vinyl!) and the music from the 70s and 80s was, to this former radio announcer, outstanding. So was breakfast. We opted for the Biscuit Sampler -- four biscuits with different flavors including one plain, one buttermilk/leek, one rosemary/thyme, and one lemon poppyseed. Along with it, the Arepa (apparently a crowd favorite); a corn cake with chorizo, eggs, avocado, and chile verde. Two of us split the works. The biscuits were served with butter, marmalade, and honey, and they all totally killed. The Arepe was unique and fabulous. As a bonus, the server was super good and super helpful, and the owner even stopped by to talk music. Fun, eclectic, diverse crowd, a funky room, and a great brunch. And certainly up there among the best breakfasts we've ever had. Lovely surprise.

Iced Oatmilk Chai with a pump of Vanilla

Came here on a snowy mid morning for a late breakfast! The entrance is through what seems to be a theater. Once inside it is a big open space with a cool wall with different album pictures. The service was friendly and quick. They have a changing daily menu in addition to their regular menu which is nice if you want to try something different. We ordered the Turn Breakfast with 2 eggs over medium, biscuit and chicken sausage. My daughter ordered the same but with scrambled eggs, sourdough bread and instead of the meat she asked for a pancake which they kindly accommodated without a problem. Everything about this plate was great except for the chicken sausage. Don't know how to describe why the taste was just not good but I didn't end up eating it. For drinks we ordered an iced oat milk Chai with a pump of vanilla and that was very tasty!

Delicious food and amazing service. The inside of the restaurant is also very nice and the owner is so friendly to costumers.

Songbird makes great use of its space and should be near the top of your STL brunch list. A reasonably-sized (not-overwhelming) menu, great coffee, delicious cocktails, quick, attentive service, and undeniably delicous food. I took off on a redeye this morning (coffee courtesy of Blueprint), and landed on the Farm Sampler: two scrambled eggs, applewood smoked bacon, sourdough toast, sliced avocado and sauteed shiitake mushrooms. Phenomenal flavors and textures. Toast is typically an afterthought for me, but the buttery crunch of the sourdough has to be spotlighted. The Bee's Knees cocktail was also a wonderfully refreshing prelude to the approaching STL summer. The time has come, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say: wake up, reserve, enjoy.

I was very excited to try them but left knowing I would not return. I waited 40 minutes on a weekday morning for a bar seat for one, standing because all the waiting area seats were taken. The hostess/waitress was very nice when she got to me, but you could tell that the amount of customers was simply too much to handle. Now, this was okay - I should have made a reservation, and it's not the staff's fault they were overwhelmed. However, the service once I sat down was patchy, delayed and distracted. I had to remind different servers of my presence, multiple times. I was willing to overlook this if the food had been fantastic, but unfortunately, their most popular item, the combo breakfast sandwich, was so incredibly heavy. The first bite was crispy, oily and fatty deliciousness, but by the third bite it was simply too rich. The sweet overtone of the honey was lovely but did not cut through the grease. By the time I finished half, I understood why several diners had left the other half uneaten. My personal preference is for a fresh, umami yet balanced sandwich that does not make me feel queasy after finishing it. This was not the sandwich for me. There was a long delay after I finished eating for them to bring me the check. My whole meal took around 2.5 hours. I had arrived starving and, I like to think, with an open mind. These are my honest, unfiltered observations. It is wonderful that so many people want to try their food and that their new space is bigger. Their decor, glassware and menu were cute and tasteful. I also love that they grew from a farmers market food stall and that they source their ingredients locally. With their level of popularity, I think they should focus on preserving the quality of their service and food.

We thought we had to wait for a long time, but it actually went quick (like 5 minutes) when we got there. We did not realize this place had an upstairs, until our waiter guided us. This place looks very large on the inside compared to what it looks like on the outside. The restaurant also had an rustic atmosphere. With exposed pipes, rusted decor, and 80's memorabilia on the shelf. We ordered coffee here, and one of them came in a Christmas cup. Even though it was six months away. My wife chuckled on how they served her coffee in a Christmas cup. Mine came in a plain white cup. But I still excessively chuckled on how funny the menu is and the staff are. The staff are very attentive to how your food tastes and make plenty of funny jokes with you. They also are very descriptive on what the specials on pancakes and omelettes are. As well as being very honest. I ordered the Benny's Got Beef Or Belly with Brisket. I know, long name. I watched the weather while my food was being prepared, and occasionally looking at the PBS TV nearby. My wife was drawing with my 11 year old daughter (and writing "secret messages") as their food was being prepped and prepared. When my food finally came out, I immediately took a bite. The brisket was very juicy and tender. And the eggs were delicious on the side. I tried this place several years ago. Was still the same good taste that I remember when I took my wife to this place. Very amazing place. Will come again.

Whether it is the quaintly appointed guest…read morerooms or the delightful library and parlor, each area of this former residence is unique and meticulously maintained. While it is not likely the norm, the owners, Mark & Leslie, met us at the front door, quite literally inviting us into their establishment. It was simply the most welcoming manner in which to be introduced to this treasure and Leslie quickly engaged us with the history of the home and how she and Mark had recently become the owners. We chose this destination based upon the significance of the Fleur-de-lis to my love, a native New Orleanian. Given St. Louis' rich French heritage, the mansion was originally outfitted with four chimneys that feature the fleur-de-lis design and the pattern is repeated throughout the home. While we enjoyed a quiet morning coffee in the back of the property, a lovely shaded patio area, she noticed how many places the symbol was present. She actually made mention to Mark & Leslie that they could make an activity out of counting/finding all of the fleur-de-lis around the home. What a fun idea! We were fortunate enough to book the Tower Grove Park room, a spacious room fitted with a king-size bed and a two-person jacuzzi tub. There is even a 'fainting couch' for that extra French touch! The bed was amazingly comfortable and the decor and accoutrements were exceptional, right down to the pocket doors and writing desk. But a B&B is set apart by the fare served in the morning, and this is where Mark, a chef by trade, and Leslie, a self-taught baker, knock it out of the park. That morning's menu included a fruit starter, fresh juice, Leslie's home-baked sourdough toast and home-baked English muffins, and Mark's egg and sausage soufflés with country potatoes. The entire breakfast had us completely over the moon! We felt so at home that we wanted to clear our own place - so we did! The rates are competitive and well worth every moment spent here. There is parking behind the property, as well as across from the property, and each guest is allowed a unique security code so as to gain entry while you are enjoying your stay. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this getaway, and Mark, Leslie, & assistant Sammy made us feel like family from the moment we crossed the threshold. We'll be back - and you should give Fleur-de-Lys a try!
