Turning Point is one of my favorite breakfast spots. We frequent the Westfield spot because it's close, but have been to the pier village one as well. They are usually busy on weekends but the service is usually great. I love their waffles, pancakes and choices of iced and hot beverages. Their parfait is amazing! They add specials depending on the season to their menu and they are certainly not your traditional diner. Their menu has great variety and they have items that you would not see anywhere else. They also do not skimp on their servings! My personal favorite is the waffle with fruit and the iced chai tea! read more

I go to the beach almost every weekend in the summer. I go to Long Branch beach and I park close to the Turning Point and I pass by with people eating their breakfast with a view of the ocean and the food looks amazing. I was so jealous. And my boyfriend tells me that there is a Restaurant just like that where he lives in Westfield and we go there. We sit outside and it was a beautiful day. I got a skillet and he got waffles. It was so delicious. I also got a side of potatoes. Everything was beautiful and delicious. Deff going back soon!!!! read more

Food is always great, the wait sucks but it's the best place to have Sunday breakfast in Westfield. The dirty silverware and water glasses issue is unacceptable; has been that way every single time we eat here which is about 15-20 times at this point. The wait was way too long and it took forever to get our drinks. And even when we did get the drinks our coffee started to get cold because we did not get our milk. My sister also ordered a S'Mores hot chocolate and it was missing the graham crackers on top. Although the waitress was very nice, she was not very informative - we think she was new so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. The food was good, but mine had a hair in the skillet so I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked. Suffice it to say, we will probably not be going back. read more

The omelette was overloaded with peppers to the point where I couldn't even eat it because it was so bad. For the chop chop salad everything seemed fine except the balsamic seemed spoiled and I found multiple pieces of black hair in my salad. And I have blonde hair. Friendly and mostly competent service (but why do I need to ask for a cup to accompany my coffee)? My wife immediately returned the dirty cup she was offered with her tea. Food took a very long time to prepare, surprising given how empty it was (also surprising since it's Father's Day). Food was tasty and arrived hot. Plates were dirty, though. I'd say I have a slight obsession with Turning Point (twice a week at least), so much that we have a rewards card now! We also love our waitress, Joann whenever we are lucky enough to have her, she's super sweet and always on point going above and beyond. A must have is the french press coffee. We always get the house blend and it is worth going just for a divine cup of coffee. You can take a to go cup for any leftover coffee which is convenient. The food is always so fresh and satisfying without being too heavy, their Belgian waffle is delicious as well as the eggs Benedict, and most breakfast dishes are always served with a little bit of fruit too. Between the refreshing decor, french press coffee, and food, we always leave here feeling so satisfied. There is often a wait and parking in the back can be a pain, but it's worth the wait and that's pretty much the nature of the beast in Westfield no matter where you go. One time we were waiting for a table for 20 minutes, and some older snooty women claimed to be us when our name was called and stole our table...but the manager handled it & sat us as soon as he found out what had happened! After hearing great things about this place I was kind of disappointed. I came on s Sunday with two other friends and got there about 1015 and was told the wait was 30-45 minutes. The hostess took my name/number and you can check where you are on the list, which I thought was awesome! 45 minutes came and we were called. Becca came back over and took our order, my friend asked to have the potatoes substituted with her omelette and she gave my friend a disgusted look and said only more fruit. So our food came, an omelette and side of bacon, French toast, and Belgium waffles. My friends enjoyed the French toast and omelette. A bit ridiculous that we got 3 pieces of bacon and paid $3.75. My waffle was topped with mangoes, bananas, strawberries and a ton of granola. The waffle was bland. Becca didn't check on us once. As we were finished we sat for about 10 minutes before she came over and just handed us our bill. My friends wanted iced coffee to go so we were not ready to go. Kinda felt like she was rushing us. I love turning point and have been to multiple locations & always had great food. I am extremely disappointed with this location. It was my first time at this location and we waited over an hour as we were excited as each location normally has the same food quality. I love their vanilla chai tea and at this location it was so watered down it tasted like water with the tiniest hint of chai. My husband got the salmon Benedict as usual and it was so soggy that the English muffin was falling apart. I usually get the enlightened omelette and it comes with a caprese salad. I literally got sliced mozzarella cheese in this. I've never seen any turning point location or actually any restaurant do this. So disappointed. In addition, most of our silver dining wear was dirty as well as the mugs with dirt. I'm so so sad and I don't think I can come back to one of my favorite go to brunch spots for a long time as it makes my stomach turn thinking about the food. I ate brunch here on a Saturday around noon with my boyfriend and had a mediocre experience. I had eaten at the Turning Point in Long Branch and loved it, so I was disappointed by the Westfield location. We were corralled to the very back corner of the restaurant where the waiters and buspeople keep all the extra glasses, plates, silverware, etc. There was a lot of traffic there, so we politely asked to sit elsewhere as soon as we saw where she was putting us - there were several tables in nicer places and no one ever showed up to claim them so I'm not sure why we couldn't have been seated there. Our hostess seemed extremely annoyed at our request to move and put us at a table that was hardly better. Our water was very nice but completely forgot to take our order. He brought us our drinks and then we waited 25 minutes and he never came back. We had to call him over to take our order. The food service was pretty quick, though, and the food was good. Overall it's an okay place to eat but not even comparable to the Long Branch location. I think I'll be going to the Westfield Diner or Vicki's next time for brunch. read more

All was good and fresh. I loved their teas! The place was nicely decorated and clean - no complains there. The first time the blueberry lemon pancakes were delightful. The second time my French toast was light and fluffy and the stuff dreams are made of. However, where I feel this place really shines is in the service. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and was quick to our requests no matter how big or small. This didn't just extend to our waitress, during our brief wait to be seated I listened to the hum of a very polite staff, as they dealt with customers all contributing to a very convivial tone; always appreciate seeing that.
