We had the funniest experience here. A little kid asked Crush what his favorite food is... and then the kid said his favorite food. It just so happened the kid liked fish! Crush had a scared look and yelled out for the fish to swim away. He then proceeded to tell the kid that is friend Bruce the Shark had a 12 step program and he should consider attending. The kid said no so Crush informed him that he is in denial. How stinkin' cute is that????!! Our family will definitely be coming back many more times to talk to this "dude". read more

Dudes! One of the coolest interactive shows in California Adventure has to be my man Crush dude. I have no idea how this works, if it is in fact all computer generated or there is a man behind a curtain, who cares. Let me live the fantasy dude. "Why do you say dude all the time?" a child asks Crush and he quickly responds, "It's the way turtles talk, little dudes." I mean it really did feel as if we were sitting on the side of an aquarium and interacting with Crush in real time. Blew my mind. Cha, way cool dudes. read more

Oh Disney California Adventure.. how do I love you. And this attraction rocks! You are the audience as Crush from Finding Nemo is your star --- its a total Q&A session. Your best bet to ask Crush anything is after the kids leave the park -- so like 8pm so totally rocks! DUDE! yes, when ever Crush says "You totally rock!" you must respond with DUDE! because that is how sea turtles rock. Do not question this. You will be reminded every time about this. Crush CAN see you -- he has eyes (cameras really) and he can see into the audience. Do not try to play hide and seek with him as this will only result in "Greg, I can see you" :) don't believe me watch this video :) and always ask Crush what his favourite meal is, and when he asks you what yours is, you can respond with turtle soup. Cute! The graphics is pretty good. Sitting on the lily pads in the front makes me feel like a pre-schooler again. Kids love it. Crush is funny but since I've seen this more than once, his jokes are a bit repetitive. He's not up-to-date or moving forward as Genie at Aladdin. Pretty good for first timers and little kids though. Make sure to have your kids sit on the lily pads in the front and make sure they don't get their fingers stepped on. read more

In the Hollywood District of Disney's California Adventure Park This attraction is most definitely for children, however I can tell you as an adult... I know I know ("that's debatable) that I absolutely love this attraction. I enjoyed Finding Nemo, but still found it to be just ok... and I'm not going to lie... I find the character of Crush to be kind of annoying. While I thoroughly enjoy coming to this attraction with my friends that have children and watching these children I know and love interact with the kooky turtle... I have just as much fun coming inside by myself or with other adult friends just to watch the interactions between the children and the turtle. I don't want to spoil the experience for anyone so I'll just leave it at a lot off children are chosen to kneel before a screen where they can interact live with America's favorite turtle. this was so amazing!!! i can't believe i've never checked it out in my past 7 years of being an annual passholder. in a nutshell... audience sits in a small theater (maybe 10 rows)..floor seating in front (i think it's meant for kids but some over enthused adults sit up there and block the views of tiny kids) we arrived 1st in line..yay! unfortunately the mob of folks pushed and ran to get their favorite location...we got a 2nd row seat...unfortunately my little girl couldn't see...fortunately the couple in front of us moved to the floor...so my kids snagged 2 front row seats and we were seated right behind them. Crush (the turtle from Nemo) is on the big screen in his habitat...and an underwater microphone allows him to talk to us...there are microphones placed throughout the theater for him to hear us. it's set up like a talk show...selected audience members ask Crush questions and Crush asks us questions...it is so amazing! it really feels like it is all real! looking forward to returning...now that i know what this is all about... my kids are already preparing questions for Crush read more

I am 56 year young and I love this. It is just great fun. The kids interaction with Crush is just priceless! I have the most wonderful memories of my kids talking to Crush. Turtle talk is awesome! I love how interactive it is and kids absolutely love it. Crush actually talks to people in the audience. It's adorable. You don't have to be a fan of "Finding Nemo" to have your mind blown by Turtle Talk with Crush. Seriously, dude, it's like, totally awesome. You'll be like, "How's he doing that, dude? I'm like, so confused... but like, in a good way." A MUST for children of all ages and adults too. Don't be afraid to participate. The interactive aspect of this is what makes it so cool. Cha.... Tip: While you're waiting for the next Turtle Talk show to start, wander around the lobby till you find the "Toy Story" Zoetrope. Another thing that will blow your mind. My boyfriend and I will try to do anything and everything at DCA and we came across this auditorium walking inside some animation studio building. It was a huge building w/ 3 different places to do. Talk with crush, meet and greet with Elsa and Anna and animation. We entered the room with talk with crus because it seemed less busy. It was so worth the show! I was laughing the whole entire time! Learned something new! I would come back here again. This is totally for kids and adults. read more

This attraction is really cool. It is fun to see Crush interact with the kids, and the jokes at the end are the best! The animation is great, and it's really cool how they customize things to fit the conversations going with the audience. My only criticism is that the show seems short, and I feel bad that not all the kids get to ask Crush a question. I don't understand why they cut the show short, but then again, I don't understand much about running shows at Disney either. They know what they are doing, and probably don't need my help. :-) read more

Adorably cute !!! Turtle talk with Crush is located in the Hollywood area in California Adventure. Another sit down attraction however, the unique part of this attraction is they incorporate the audience. The main focus is Crush the Papa of the turtle clan. I have been to this attraction more then once and the character has yet to let me down from cracking up. There is bit of a wait, before the next show but when are you not waiting in line at Dland. However, when going in you get a chance to relax in air conditioning while having a laugh or two. read more

Like righteous dude! You so totally rock! Turtle talk with Crush is a must do and it doesn't matter your age. It is fun for kids of all ages. Through this unique window into the Pacific ocean, you can interact with the sea's most awesome sea turtle Crush from Finding Nemo. Crush is super energetic and full of questions for the human dudes so that he can educate his youngest offspring out of 65 named Squirt. In return for your answers, he'll also answer any questions that you may have so get your hand in the air and maybe he'll call on you. If you're wondering what to ask, here are some suggestions. What is your favorite color? What is your favorite Band and or song? What are your kids names? What do you like to eat? How fast can you swim? How old are you? I am hoping that I went on an off day. Crush kept calling on adults and taking their questions, as opposed to taking the kids' questions. It's a lot more fun when you get to hear the kiddos ask funny questions and watch Crush interact with them. This is still worth going to, but I was a little let down after my past experiences with Turtle Talk at Disney World. (Kid: "I want to be a Transformer when I grow up!" Crush: "Uhh... what's a Transformer? Is it something like... this?" *drops a Buzz Lightyear doll into the water*) read more

I'd been to Turtle Talk at Disney World and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's excellent for the little ones, but as an adult, I was amazed by how *totally* awesome this is! "Crush" fields questions from the audience and can "see" people. It's very interactive. I don't know how they do it. It's like he can look at the person asking the question. I'm not sure how many people do the voice of "Crush," but the guy at California Adventure sounded a little too old and had a bit of raspiness in his voice. So, I'm dinging one star for that. Other than that, I like that California Adventure has actual seats; at Disney World, there were bench seats, which can get uncomfortable after a while. Would I recommend Turtle Talk with Crush? If I had a child, I would def. bring them to see this! This is not a ride, but a little interactive show. It features my favorite turtle from Finding Nemo, Crush!! This show is so cute, every single child that was attending lit up with happiness! He gets the child's name correct and interacts with them like hes known them for years! read more

Having seen this version of this performance as an adult-viewer for the first time, I was like completely blown-away. From seeing an example on TV, I decided to see this first hand. I was completely blown away that a computer and a voice behind the scenes could identify and recognize voices that clearly without much of a problem. And the fact that it's main character is based on a famous Disney Movie that what seems to be almost all kids recognize quickly, just blows me away! I wished I was kid again, and could have sat there and "played into" the role, though adults have to take a back-seat approach and just have to listen to the kids who interact with Crush. read more

Usually this is my one of my favorite attractions of a Disney day but today our Turtle Talk was hosted by a cast member named Kyle. He yelled at the kids, put his minimum wage/financial struggles on blast, and joked about everything being a lawsuit. He should have read the room after his first hurtful joke when a couple of parents audibly asked "what?". Disney workers do sprinkle a little real world sarcasm into their bits throughout the day but this was over the line. I wanted to duck out of there before Crush was even introduced. Keep those jokes to the break room, and don't yell at kids and say "whatever" to them especially in front of their parents. read more

Great experience at DCA. For some reason, my kids always get picked to ask questions. They don't know what it's like to not be asked a question. I love the new version with the Dory characters too. Do it! It's worth it. read more

I have seen this show a handful of times, and every time I watch it, it's just like watching it for the first time. Crush is hilarious! Kids and adults will both get a good laugh during the show. The theater is small and it doesn't get too packed either. It's definitely a show you don't want to miss! read more

What a great experience! It is really fun to interact with a cartoon. I do not have children, but we adults still have a good time.

This is fun for two reasons: 1) it's mildly entertaining and funny, and 2) it's a technological marvel to see a CG character interacting with real people. I still can't figure out how they did it. The CG character moves, emotes, talks, sees, etc. It's weird. I guess there's a voice actor who can somehow move the CG character around like a puppet. Maybe the voice actor is in one of those suits that allows a computer to input body movements? I'm befuddled. read more

Not as fun as the one in Disney World but we still had a blast watching our preschooler hang out with Crush. There's a big screen with Crush in the ocean and he has a conversation with the crowd - the kids get to sit up front and he picks different people from the audience to talk to. Kids loved him. He talks to a lot of the children individually. he talked to two of my kids and he talked to me gave us all cute nicknames I was Riptide Rachel. Very interactive and fun. "Totally" recommend doing this show. read more

This show was great!!! It had all of the kids in the audience completely intrigued the entire time. If you're a parent and want to spend some time in nice comfy chairs relaxing and have a little break from your little ones, this is the place to be. Huge disappointment. "Crush" was rude to the person he picked out of the audience, making stupid remarks. They need to train their cast to be people friendly and upbuilding, I felt that "Crush" was setting a bad example to the kids in the audience. read more
