YES, YES, AND YES! This place is an absolute gem--super authentic Italian and so cute. Book a pasta-making class here! The instructor was incredible, making the hands-on experience both fun and informative. The food and wine were delicious, making it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

Been craving an Italian sandwich and this was excellent. We had never been here before and it was the first place to pop up when searching our location at the time + "Italian sandwich". It was cute, and intimate. They have a small menu but everything looks delicious. We ordered two different sandwiches (unfortunately I do not recall their names) and panned to order gelato as well but were too full. This would also be a fantastic spot to grab a unique host/hostess or housewarming gift, as they had a seemingly huge selection of olive oils, pasta's, and Italian food items. Just a note, I did need to use the bathroom before we ordered and it is very small. No sink int he bathroom either - you will be suing the kitchen sink in public. I'm very small so it was not an issue but it you are tall or long-legged, it may be a bit difficult. I would def return

Found this place on Yelp and the reviews didn't lie. Small Italian grocery with both eat in and take out options. This is the real deal! The food was delicious. We had ricotta and spinach stuffed shells ( fantastic) and a Caprese panini. The bread! Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, fantastic. Cannolis on point and we got a pistachio ricotta piece of cake to go. Also yum. So glad we looked at Yelp to help us find this place!

This is a cute little Italian shop serving select items and wide variety of dry and fresh pasta, oil, and tomato sauce. It definitely a sweet slice of Italy. Staff are friendly and service is pretty quick. They are attentive. I got the lasagna and it tasted pretty good! It was $14. Overall the ambiance was good and I'd come again!

The food was amazing, don't let the fact that it's a grocery store turn you off this place is legit. The staff is so friendly and have great service. I had the Italian salad pictured and the Caprese Panini.

Great little spot! The food was excellent, and the deli had a cozy, authentic vibe. The paninis were fresh and very tasty. I had the meatball and the eggplant pasta sides--both were absolutely delicious! I can't wait to go back and try more of their specials.

Excellent food, deli, and grocery selections! We got fresh pasta and dessert from here before but this was our first time eating a meal. The panini were delicious, well balanced, and not greasy. The stars of the show were probably the sides and dessert, though. The feta eggplant pasta and lentil shrimp soup were flavorful and well executed. The raspberry chocolate mousse was decadent. Although service was a little slow, everyone was extremely friendly. Will definitely return if we get the opportunity!

Wonderful staff and amazing authentic Italian food! What else can you ask for! One of the best options in VAHI for a quick bite. Their paninis are divine, perfectly toasted bread, good cheese and fresh vegetables.

But lucky me, The Spotted Trotter was out at the Grant Park Farmers Market that I attended recently and I got to check them out irl and support. (I told the gentleman who was at the table why I hadn't been in yet and he did explain that there was an easier way to enter. Ooops.) He was also so patient with me and explained the offerings and how I could use them all. Their menu board was calling my name and although I didn't need to buy anything, we love supporting local, yes? Yes. They had so many delicious options. Sausages, cheeses, all kinds of cured meats - just a carnivore's dream. I can only imagine how amazing the in-store experience is! I had no clue what to grab but ended up going for some calabrian pancetta that is crazyyy delicious. I can't wait to visit the brick and mortar and check out the rest of their options.
