I have updated this review to reflect what transpired after the first review. We had been referred to Tustin Lexus by our AAA car buying service. If we used the AAA service Tustin Lexus was supposed to take $500 off the price and offer a few other ammenities, for example, a discount on extended warranties. Unbeknownst to us at the time, we were supposed to contact specific people at Tustin Lexus who were aware of this AAA service. My wife made contact with an Internet sales associate, Colleen, who because she was not going to be present when we came in, referred us to her associate, Trevor, who we really liked working with. However, when we mentioned the AAA car buying service to Trevor, he did not respond as if he was aware and would not reduce the price. When I received a survey from AAA regarding their car buying service, I responded somewhat negatively since we seemingly did not receive any benefits from Tustin Lexus or another car sales agency whose associate we met with. A very nice AAA agent named Julie emailed me, asked some questions, contacted Tustin Lexus, and ultimately got them to take $500 off the price. I appreciated that. Kudos to Darrick at Tustin Lexus for calling me and making it right regarding the $500. The problem was miscommunication, and we had a part in it, so I would not downgrade Tustin Lexus. The moral of the story is if you do use a car buying service like AAA, make sure you contact the right people. In our case if would seem to have worked out for the best, because we liked Trevor and after the fact still received our discount. read more

We are a family of Lexus. My husband and I love the reliability of our cars. They are well made and ride beautifully. Sales department is wonderful. Wish I could say the same for the service department. Let me take my complaint off the service team because they do the job. Why I give Tustin Lexus a 2 star is the lack of luxury placed on the sales floor and service department. With the space they have they need a complete makeover. I'm looking at vertical blinds and dirty Windows. Not to mention the flooring. Oh my goodness I just can't take the flooring. Your shoes squeak with every step. I'm not sure if it's years of grime I'm stepping on or just the cheapest tile known to man. With long waits they have very limited amenities. I'm talking about coffee with powdered creamer(are we still in 1980) and water. The sugar options are just as bad Dextrose, Maltodextrin, chemically artificial. Same owner as Newport, same car prices, same service prices but as a customer sitting in a Lexus lobby I might as well be at a used car dealership. I come here for convenience but every time I'm here I just do not understand how the difference is night and day. When I pay for a luxury car trust me I don't mind paying for my own coffee or pastry just give us the same treatment as your Newport customers. This is no longer acceptable. Sadly sipping on disgusting coffee to stay awake. 2 1/2 hrs for an oil change painful......,, Five months later and with the same feeling. Luxury car with luxury car prices and amenities that are far from the gratitude that should be shown to their customers. I have been told for almost 2 yrs that this location is due for a remodel. We are at the height of the economy. What is the hold up. We need a coffee shop experience. Like I said before just follow what is happening at your Newport location. Today even the guy that helped me in the service department had the same depressing energy this whole location seems to carry in common. This is a management issue. Why come to work and be miserable in your own company and then transcend that to your customer? There should be one frequency and energy of gratefulness, joy, abundance, and joy. read more

I have bought a total of 5 new vehicles from both Newport Lexus and Tustin Lexus (both own by the same owner) of which 4 from Newport Lexus and the last one from Tustin Lexus simply because I wanted to follow the salesperson. I then since moved to Corona from Garden Grove. Long story short, I went to Lexus of Riverside to ask them to help putting front number plate on, got told that the front number plate bracket was missing and they asked me to call Tustin Lexus for the bracket. After transfer me to four different personnel's then the last one was Ray Chang who is a General Sales Manager of the store, a nothing but horrible level of service, he blatantly told me that he will not help to provide me with another bracket of which he kept on accused me that I have lost or misplaced the bracket in my garage. The attitude with an awful tone of voice from the General Sales Manager of a reputable Lexus dealership is not acceptable at all, this kind of service is even worse than I got from a person at the flea market. Ray Chang left a really bad taste in my mouth and would never return or refer any future businesses at all. After the sour conversation with Ray Chang, I went to the sales office at Lexus of Riverside to explain them the situation that I encountered. To my surprise, the Sales Manager got up, walked straight to Parts Department, got the bracket, gave to me with a big smile and cheerful on his face. What a big difference between the two. Ray Chang ! You are not deserved any of my future businesses or my accquaintance's at all. Somehow, you escalated to the position where your ability can not function properly. read more

Where do I start.... called to explain my gas cap would no longer tether to my car. They told me I only needed to clip it back in. I asked them to order me one. They said they would need to look at it first (thinking I didn't know why I was talking about?). I explained that would be two trips I would have to make if they didn't have one in stock. They said they would take care of it. I went there, 3 different guys had to take a look at it before they came to the conclusion that it needed a new gas cap.. really? DAH! Steve the service guy said he was sorry and would take care of it. So they ordered a new one. And of course I had to make a second trip. They took forever to get me the cap and sent me to the cashier with cap in hand to pay for this piece that replaced a defective piece that was on my car that was still covered. What a pain in the ass. Said they were going to take care of it and didn't. Never believed me that the cap wouldn't stay on "it just clicks back in" he says..... Getting a new car soon. WON'T be purchasing it at Tustin Lexus Not one person there today was there yesterday. Each set of people telling me something different. And the cashier.....WOW.... I have no words. read more

WOW...sales must be great and they really don't need to sell any more cars for 2017. I walked in from the lot, entered the showroom, and not a soul around. The sales staff were enjoying some gaming on the console in the corner and never even noticed me. I didn't see what I was looking for on the showroom floor, and few offices had guys on the phone. I walked out into the lot and started trying to make sense of the window stickers. Left after about 5 minutes. Not a hello or goodbye. Thank goodness there is another Lexus dealer fairly nearby. Bought a brand new '13 RX350 at Tustin Lexus last week at a very good price pre-agreed over the phone. Local dealer in San Diego offered a little more discount but they didn't have the exact color and options we wanted. Rex is great to work with, straightforward, very efficient, knows about the vehicle well, explained and showcased us all of the key functions of the vehicle in detail. We are completely satisfied with his service and would recommend him to anyone in the market for a new Lexus. There have been horrid stories of dealer agreed on a price just to lure customers to the dealership and then would ask for higher prices-- we were very glad that this was not the case: Rex kept his words and won our business. The finance process was also very smooth as they didn't pressure for sale of additional warranties etc. The trade in value they quoted was way below carmax offered (which was virtually the trade-in value from kbb.com for very good/excellent conditions) so we had to drive both cars back to SD and later sold the car to carmax. Suggestions to others in the market: 1. do your research well. Get price set before coming to the dealership-- this will save you big time; 2. if you have a trade in, get a free appraisal at carmax so that you know its worth and also have a back-up option. read more

I wasn't expecting to meet such a nice person when I walked into the Tustin Lexus dealership when I met Peter Chan, he is such a sweet caring man I really felt like he wanted to make me as happy as possible and did everything he could to make my experience amazing. I really appreciate what this dealership did for me. They are an organization that I hope most dealerships will aspire to become. I can say this even know I didn't get the deal I wanted but I did buy the car. At the end of the day they were folks I felt comfortable with and were willing to spend my money with. I had been shopping for a few weeks looking for the right RX350 and I was willing to travel anywhere but after going to most of the local Lexus Dealerships in San Diego I found the vehicle that met my requirements at the Tustin location. I sent an email to their online portal saying I was going to be heading up. Rex the sales rep called me as I was on my drive up to say he was ready to meet me. When I arrived at the location Rex walked out to meet me by the car and took the time to walk me through the car. Rex realized I didn't need the full tour so was cognizant to his audience and offered to dive in deep or just get right in and go for a drive. We did a quick road test and now it was down to brace tax as they say. Lets see if the numbers can get to where they need to be. I end up about $1k higher than I wanted to be but the car was fairly priced and it was a good product. Obviously Rex did the old car sales tactic, he involved his manager and I was ready for the sleaze sales guy to walk out. However Whitey was also a great guy and at the end he just wanted my wife and I to walk out happy. They did just that I really enjoyed working with two sales reps that weren't trying to just jam a product down your throat and I felt like they were trying to work with me. I will go back again and when I do I will ask for Rex or Whitey because they were great sales reps. This was my first time at this dealership but based on this experience and the overall cleanliness of the shop I am not sure why their reviews are so low. I would encourage folks to request Whitey or Rex if they want a good experience. To the owner, great choice on these two hires. A very satisfied customer. read more

"Right from the start" the only right thing to do to yourself is just not going there! Do yourself a favor and drive 10 minutes more to Newport Lexus. You will get there a lot more for the same (or less) money. If you will sign a lease with Newport Lexus they will give you 4 services for free (on Lexus Tustin they offers only two) also you will get 3 years of free car wash, airport shuttles and car storage and much much more. I feel so stupid for not going there!!!!! This review is way over due but to be honest they deserve it! This place full of liars and dishonest people (especially the managers) that will do everything it takes to sign you including lying to you! I came to this dealership to look on the NX200t, then (in about 9 months ago) Lexus had great promotion and I just needed a car so I thought, why not? One of the salesmen came to me and showed me the car, I loved it right from the beginning and we went to talk numbers. I really loved the shape of the NX200t but also I loved the wheels of the NX200 sports, so I asked if he can do something about the wheels he went to talked with the manager and he came back with very high offer so I just said that I'll let it go. Long story short, I wanted to leave the dealership but the sells manager came out to me and told me that I can add only $150 to my down payment to get the wheels I wanted, I was very happy with that and we went to sign the lease agreement. It was a long day and I was with my 2 kids so maybe this is the reason that I ended up paying $600 more than what I should have. When I came back home and looked at the numbers I was very angry that they tricked me like that (I could get a great deal in every dealership I was going to, I have more than +780 credit score) I wanted to talk with the sells manger about this but if course he didn't took my calls and didn't got back to me, so I drove there, he just got me into room and try to make me feel stupid and when he saw that he really can't trick me anymore he just turn all angry red and said that i'll not call him a liar. Lol Then, I talked with one manger over the phone and he told me that they will give me back my money, when I drove all the way to the dealership (at the 3rd time) they told me that no one left a note like that in my file and that they never said that also they said someone will get back to me in the following day. 9 months later and no one did! Instead of being happy about my new car (which is great and I totally LOVING it) I needed to feel cheated and angry about myself of been tricked like that. Came here on Sunday to test drive the Lexus IS 200t with my boyfriend and was greeted by one of their employee ( I don't know his name but he is Asian and the date is Sunday 12/18/2016 and it was around 1pm). We asked him to check whether they have the a black one with red interior, he did not bother to go inside to check and just assumed that they might not have it. So we told him that on the Riverside Lexus website they have it in stock so we want to know if there is a chance they could order it from Riverside branch. He said they could not and at this rate he seem to be really annoying and like he does not want to be here today. He told us "then you should buy a plane ticket and fly to Riverside, good luck with that". If he intends to mock us then please get the record straight, Riverside is only 2 hours driving from here. It is really unprofessional and disrecpectful because we honestly want to buy a Lexus from them. Brush that aside, we proceeded to ask him whether we could test drive a lexus IS 200t today, he said everyone is busy right now and nobody is free to help us doing that. When I came to Lexus Westminster, their employees were really eager to give us a test drive and they are "truly busy", not "busy" in the sense that that employee said. Where do I start the sales department was great to me as I have said on a previous review, but the service department on the other hand was so unorganized. My husband to my car for a 20k mile service and to fix my navigation since it is a bit loose and steering wheel alignment. They lend us a loaner and my car was there for 4 days. We would call to check on my car and still not finished. They finally called back and so my husband picked up my car with the same steering wheel problem n navigation problem. Any who I told my husband well atleaste we got the maintenance done since that was the most important issue. The next day the light turned back on for maintenance and so we look at our invoice to find out that they never did the 20k mile service. So here we go having to take it back after it being left there for 4 days! This is ridiculous! They had my car sitting there. I dont know if they lack on communication or they are careless but when I spent 50k plus on my Lexus, they need to provide a better service. I expect this kind of treatment from a hole on the wall dealer. Employees in the service department need training. read more

After purchasing five cars from Tustin Lexus over the past 15+ years, I went to them to ask if they would sponsor a "Hole in One, Get a Free Lexus" for a golf tournament. This tournament was for the Military Veterans Appreciation Trust where the proceeds would be used to support our soldiers, veterans and their families. There would be three Medal of Honor recipients playing in the tournament which shows it is a highly respected event for an excellent cause. After an initial somewhat positive conversation with their GM, I provided several presentations on the program, made over six calls and multiple emails plus visits to both Tustin and Newport Lexus seeking an answer. Sadly, I was "ghosted" and received no help or followup from anyone. This has definitely changed my opinion of Tustin Lexus and I will be looking for a new location to service our two cars but what bothers me the most is their lack of interest in support an event to support our soldiers and veterans. read more

I went in for a diagnostic my door won't open and close. So I went in to get it fixed. Didn't end up getting it done it cost too much. I don't understand Lexus Is supposedly a luxury car but it's not my fault the factory aviator stopped working that's Lexus's fault not the customers. why pay for a vehicle that doesn't work properly. So after all the waiting I was asked if I wanted my car washed and I said yes. and I didn't even check on the car till I got home and it wasn't even washed. It still had the same bird crap on my windows and side door. umm ok really bad service. This has been the worst lexus dealership I will never be coming back. It's regarding the service department. I turned in my 2004 RX330 for dashboard crack issue. It was covered by warranty enhancement program. The service adviser named Evan handled this issue, who was patient and detail-oriented, and tried to accommodate my needs. 3 months later, the dashboard vent popped out, and there is a gap appearing between dashboard and navigation screen, and the A/C became abnormal. I brought the car in and the same adviser handled this issue. He claimed the A/C is nothing to do with dashboard replacement even I never had A/C problem until the dash was replaced. And I waited there for about more than 40 mins, and the only thing was done was the - vent was snapped in. The technician said the dashboard may be different from before. I don't think this is a correct way of handling issue. I would need to change the opinion about this dealership. read more

I had such a wonderful experience here at Tustin Lexus. I brought my 2011 Lexus IS250 here for maintenance since my "check engine" light came on. Al quickly came to help me out and told me I had to leave the car overnight. He gave me a loaner car, the new 2014 Lexus IS. The next day I get a call from Al, and he told me that the alternator was acting up, which caused misfires in my engine. Unfortunately, it would cost about $900 for parts and labor. I had to decline the repairs at the time. When I picked up my car, Lexus Service gave me a full tank of gas, washed my car, inspected my whole car, and fixed a recall all at no charge. I am really happy and will definitely bring my car here again. read more

I agree with the reviews. This was an incredibly awful dealer experience. My husband and I are Audi drivers but was considering learning more about the Lexus brand. One of the car salesmen didn't even bother to hold the door open for me as I walked in. We were looking at various models and wasn't approached even once to acknowledge they knew we were there. March 11, 2018 I took back the car to Tustin Lexus and I was shocked when Finance Manager refused to take back the car back until I pay almost $500 in registration fees for the car I will not drive. I pulled up and a group of employes are hanging out at a table at the front, I thought someone would come up to me and offer to assist me with any questions I might have... But they all looked and went back to what they were doing. I walked through a few rows of cars, checked out some window stickers, did some comparisons and took a few photos for reference. After spending about 15-20 min with no one helping me, I decided to walk back to me car and as I did I asked (to the group of employes) "are you still open" and they all said "yea were open" and no one even offered to come over to me. I think the salesmen at Tustin Lexus must go through some kind of intense certified douche bag training program. A single group of people at a sales- and service-oriented business during a recession could not possibly be this uniformly douchey without instruction, could they? Last week, my husband and I stopped by this dealership to look at cars. My husband is very tall so he didn't have one specific model in mind. He just wanted to start with sitting in everything to see whether he had enough headroom. If we're making a $60K+ purchase, it would be good to know whether he's going to hit his head on the roof every time we go over a speed bump, wouldn't it? Every other dealership we visited at the Tustin Auto Mall that day was very understanding of my husband's predicament and patient while he tried all the cars. We weren't DRIVING each car, mind you, just SITTING in them. Isn't that what the salesmen are there for -- to sell you the car that's right for you? Our salesman at Tustin Lexus, however, got irritated with this approach after we sat in all of two cars and told us, "You should just go across the street and buy a minivan." And then he walked away, leaving us completely stunned and without any further assistance. And by the way, it wasn't like the dealership was jumping with customers and he was trying to snag a sure thing elsewhere. We were the only customers on the entire lot. Coincidentally, my dad is also looking for a new car, so he and I went to the same Lexus dealership today. My dad kind of looked around a bit without even bothering a salesman to ask for help. As we were peacefully making our way out, having taken up no one's precious time, a salesman nonchalantly asked my dad what he was currently driving. Dad told him honestly "a Jaguar," to which the salesman replied in a snarky tone, "Enjoy the maintenance on that." At this point, even if my dad or husband decide to go with Lexus, they'll go buy elsewhere. We're lucky to live in an area where this is not the only game in town, even though they act like it is. It's Southern California, guys, not Topeka. We have choices as to where we drop our thousands for your product. These two incidents have left a really bad impression on my family in terms of what kind of service and customer care you can expect from this particular dealership. If you want to be treated with respect and dignity while shopping for such a big ticket item, go elsewhere. read more

I just recently purchased a Lexus CT200h from them. I first started sending out emails to Tustin Lexus and their internet department contacted me. I have told them the package and color I want and I was informed by Chris Briggs at Tustin Lexus. First they told me they can match the price of the dealer I first went to, and they told me they have the car I want in stock. I then asked out of curiosity the mileage on the car. Chris informed me that the new CT200h has 70 miles on it. I may not purchased a lot of new cars in my life, but I do believe 70 miles on a car is not new. I asked of course why does a new car have such a high mileage? Chris told me that because the car was moved from their warehouse and to showroom a few times and that the car was in their possession for 3 months. At first I believed him and at the point of sale (before I signed the contract) I asked him again why the car has such a high mileage and I also asked him if it was a company loaner? He gave me the same story again. after the purchase, the next day I wanted to use the navigation system, is then when I found out that there are total of 8 previous destination and also home address already configured and saved. Also an iPhone already setup to connect as a preset. I called and asked about this, Chris brushed me off to his manager, and which his manager has no intention of resolving this issue and hung up on me. First I just wanted to confirm, 70 miles is considered high or extremely high on a new car. even if people were to test drive the car and 5 miles per test drive, you need 14 test drives to get to 70 miles. And if you can't sell the car with 14 test drives something is wrong. Now if we go with Chris' story, why would dealership put miles on a car for no reason and just to move it from warehouse to showroom? With 8 previous destination the miles adds up to roughly 70 miles. Also if people were to test drive the car, why would anyone set or preset the home address to the car they haven't purchase yet? read more

I get here and walk into the showroom ignored. Finally someone notices me and hands me complimentary water. Ok, not so bad. Leo actually turned out to be a decent guy. He showed me some cars, gave me some info and let me test drive the IS250. We get back to the dealership and talk but its late so I tell him I'll be back the next day. I return with an appointment only to find that Leo is busy so he hands me over to Peter. Peter seems just ok, he's frazzled half the time, doesn't seem to know where any of the cars are and keeps insisting that I look at the options and cars online with him. If I wanted to look at pictures I would've stayed home. Obviously, I was looking for the real thing. Peter tells me there's one car that meets my preferences but that its in the warehouse. It has to stay they until he runs my credit and we settle on a number, only then can he bring it over so that I can take a look. What a waste of time! But I agree to start this tedious process only to find 3 hours in that they cannot remove the $8,000 chrome rims that he originally said they could do. This information came via some guy named Yusef. The staff does not deliver, knows exactly how to waste your time. Peter was running back and forth between me and another customer. I was there to BUY a car while the other was there to lease and he decides to pass me along to another rep that acted like selling cars was wasn't what he was getting paid to do. I left annoyed, pissed and dumbfounded by the treatment I had received. I ended up driving over to Longo Lexus where I had an amazing experience and drove away with a new IS250 before sundown. Why I even returned to Tustin the second day I'm not sure. They had plenty of sales staff just standing around ignoring customers. They weren't selling anything. They're in the business's of wasting time and making customers feel unworthy of their luxury vehicles. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE. But definitely stop by if your thirsty, they're happy to give out free water bottles. read more
