Located in Sam's Town Casino(Tunica, MS) Twains Steak House is a white table cloth style venue. This was my first visit at this location and I decided to try it out on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was very cozy and low lighting; perfect for a date night out. No problems getting a table (Approx 3 min) and the wait staff was very nice. They had a Ribeye Steak special that evening (Asparagus & roasted diced potatoes) for $38. Normally, each side item is $7 each, however they are big enough for two people to share. My steak arrived hot and was not over cooked. Also, my wife and I ordered a House salad with honey mustard dressing but I felt for the price it should have been Romaine lettuce/spinach instead of iceberg lettuce :p . The steak was good, however my cut had more fat than meat, which probably why the special was offered. Overall, I enjoyed the quite surroundings and service. The food was good, but it did not "Wow" me. The bread that comes before the meal is delicious(served with whipped butter/honey style spread). I reccomend this steakhouse style restaurant to anyone who enjoys seafood, steak combinations. No burgers are on the menu, so this is not the style of this restaurant. Prices start at $17 and up so it is more than a Long Horn type pricing. You will however get a larger portion of steak compared to other chain style restaurants. I wanted to give this 4 stars, but they had a problem with gnats flying around inside near our table.

However, tonight I ordered takeout and my shrimp and broccoli were extremely overcooked. I called to see if I could bring it back, and the waitress said she needed to check with the manager first. After speaking with the manager, she told me I needed to send an email with a photo of the food to "prove" I was telling the truth. I agreed, but then she refused to give me the email address to send the photo. I offered to bring the food back in person, and she refused to allow that as well. Needless to say .... I gave her a piece of my mind!! The manager was UNBELIEVABLY rude, unprofessional, and completely unhelpful. This heifer, told me she was at home with her family and didn't have time for this!!! If you are seated inside, DO NOT take the table next to the door going outside. Our appetizers came fairly soon and were good, I had the New England clam chowder, quite good. My grand daughter had the Wagyu burger which she said was very good. I don't remember exactly what my daughter had with the exception of the tuna tartare. She felt it had an odd smell and started to develop an upset stomach. My wife and I both had the Atlantic salmon. She substituted creamed corn for the sweet potatoes and I substituted roasted potatoes for the sweet potatoes. Both of us thought the salmon was good. But we thought the crispy brussels sprouts were hard and over done. My wife's creamed corn was quite good but my roasted potatoes were over done and hard. They were pretty busy but still I would have expected a bit better service given the bill of over $170.00 before tip. We might go back for the dinner menu as it offers a better selection.

We arrived at 5:30 and we were told that it would be about an hour to wait, but were seated in about 25 minutes. Our waitress Sarah was the cutest, sweetest little thing. She was happy to answer all our questions and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. We started with the Crawfish bread and it was AMAZING!!!! It was my favorite part of the whole night. Think of a bread that is perfectly soft, but also has a perfect light crunch on the outside and then cut it in half and top it with a yummy creamy cheesy crawfish dip and pop it in the oven. It was sooooo good! For the main course we tried their special of the day; Blackened Redfish Thibodaux. It is a blackened redfish topped with crispy fried onions and crawfish etouffee served over popcorn rice. My husband devoured the whole thing. He said it had an amazing flavor. We also ordered the 3 piece blackened catfish with fries and hush puppies. The fish had a perfect Cajun seasoning flavor along with the butter it was cooked in and is served with lemon to squeeze on top. It was really tasty as well. Don't skip out on the fries though, because they are just as good as everything else. We loved them too! We ended the night with their homemade pecan praline bread pudding and ice cream. While we did enjoy this dish, it's not the best one we have ever had. The sauce is a little thicker like gravy and we would have preferred more of a true caramel sauce. All in all we both agreed that it was worth the drive from the Memphis area and we will definitely be back!! Give them a try if you are ever near Hernando.

From the minute we walked in, everyone was friendly and the place feels welcoming. The food... to die for!!! The stuffed crawfish bread... delicious! Crab stuffed grouper... oh my, so good! Bacon wrapped beef tenderloin... yes, please! And to top it all off, the infamous bread pudding... do NOT pass it up!!! I cannot wait to go back.
