3.5 stars - We've been eating at Twilley's for a few years now. I wrote a review a couple years ago, so this is an update. Hot dogs really are their specialty and where they excel ... many different choices and everything is fresh and delicious. That said, I decided to try a special Hawaiian chicken sandwich our waiter told us about. He described it as a grilled chicken breast with sliced pineapple and a coconut spread. I decided to order it, and when it came out, I was surprised it also had bacon, cheese and pickled onions. The chicken was delicious and juicy but the overall sandwich was not successful. Everything slid around and the roll fell apart before I was even halfway through, so I finished eating it with a knife and fork. Hubby had a Detroit style dog which contained chili, cheese and diced sweet onion - very good! We brought home an Ol Goat dog (a tad too much goat cheese) plus something called the cha-cha wrap for my daughter: Buffalo style chicken with pico de gallo and a side of blue cheese. That was another miss: some of the chicken was chewy & tough, you got the heat of the buffalo sauce, but none of the flavor. The predominant flavor was pico de gallo. They used to automatically serve chips with their hot dogs, but now they only come with a pickle. Chips are $3 as are french fries. We had a couple of drinks which were very good: a margarita and grapefruit crush. It's a small place with a cool vibe and nice-sized bar. There are also a few tables out back overlooking the canal. We'll definitely be back but will stick with ordering what they do best: hot dogs!

How have I not known about this lil' gem of a place?! I had one of the best hotdogs I've ever had! (They rivaled ones at Wrigley Field) Not only is the actual hotdog beefy and tasty, but the hotdog bun is insanely delicious. The chili on the chili dog had lots of flavor and the mahi mahi tacos had nice fat pieces of fish. The place isn't huge but it has a nice bar and a fun beach atmosphere. Definitely going back on our beach week next year!

Very nice area (cute small plaza) and small classic coastal dock themed bar/restaurant. we will welcome with very nice staff, which were able to serve us well and quickly. I got myself the crabby dog, which was actually pretty good (I personally will lessen down the cream cheese content, but that could be just me). definitely would recommend someone who is a fan of hotdog because their hot dogs were very good quality.

Visited Twilley's Willys on our way back to Dewey Beach from Ocean City. I got to pick the spot and since I was in the mood for a hot dog we made our way here. Twilley's is located in a small shopping plaza that is a bit of a maze to make it through. Once you are there, you have the ability to dine inside, or outside. When we first got here, we had all intentions to dine outside. We made our way through the interior to the patio/deck area and found that we would not be dining outside. In fact, we would be dining inside because everyone else that showed up before us had the same idea. Wasn't bad, we had the interior dining room to ourselves, but it wasn't great either. This is basically a seat yourself place and you go about it in a way of hopes that you will be getting service. The seating, if you seat yourself along the wall, is a bit uncomfortable. as it looks like pallets were used to design the seating. We were, at first ignored for a bit, then we had someone bring us menus and take our drink order. We were then again ignored. With a different server approaching the table asking us again about a drink order. We said that we had placed our drink order, but restated it. Drinks finally arrived and we placed out food order, we didn't want to take a risk of not being seen again for a bit. The water tasted like it came from a garden hose, but I can't complain about free water. For my food I went with Wrightsville Dog with hand cut fries. The Wrightsville is a dog topped with chili, slaw, mustard, and onions. Minus the slaw and it was a call to home for me. It made me miss being back home, and I mean home home. This thing was massive. I mean when it came out it was a mound of a hot dog. With all the toppings it was very hard to even hold. I had to cut it in two so I could tackle it. I feel like I unhinged my jaw at one point to open it wide enough to take a bite. The flavor was all there. it was amazing and downright delicious. No worries if you have little bits that fall off the dog, just used it for your fries, or an end of the meal bite. The food was satisfying, and took me back home. However, the service was less than stellar. I was a bit upset by the fact that we were forgotten. I feel if we sat outside we would have gotten better service. However, inside you have to contend with the bar. On top of that, you may have to contend with stray tomato slices as well, watch your step.

Great little "locals" place with outstanding food & drink! Sure, hot dogs get the top billing, but try the great homemade soups & the fish tacos are the BEST! Enjoy!

If you look up the definition of hidden gem in the dictionary, you will see a picture of Twilley's Willys. Nestled in the village of Fenwick, this place has some of the best hot dogs I've ever had. With that being said, I ordered the Detroit dog and fries. To engage, the Detroit dog was topped with mustard, meat sauce, cheese, and chopped onions. Knowing that, the hot dog was excellent. To explain, the hot dog was juicy, tender, and had tremendous flavor. In addition, the meat sauce was flavorful and wasn't too spicy. Moreover, the bun was wonderful and elevated the dog to a different level. To enumerate, the bun was a sub roll and it was toasted to perfection. This was simply a phenomenal hot dog. In the same light, the fries were very good as well. To put into perspective, the fries were hand cut and tasty. To breakdown, Twilley's Willys is a hidden gem with some of the best hot dogs I've ever eaten.

Huge variety and love that they have the option to sub with veggie dogs! Some of the stuff we ordered were the chicken cheese steak, cha cha wrap, Chicago dog, Kansas City dog, Detroit, and the crabby. Everyone loved their orders and they are huge! Definitely worth the price.

Love Twilley's Willys. We ordered the crabby fries, Baltimore style dog, the Dirty Dog, and chicken tenders. The crabby fries were the best crabby fries i've ever had. There was so much crab dip with a good amount of crab in it. And the fries were clearly homemade. The Baltimore dog and the dirty dog had a lot of toppings. The only thing we didn't care for were the chicken tenders. They were fine but lacked salt.

I really wanted to try the "Dirty Dog" and I must say... the chef who create this dog is a culinary genius. The fresh pico & cilantro lime crema, helps cut down the greasy chorizo. The layers of flavor paired nicely with each other. No one flavor overpowered the next. We only did carry out so we did not see the main dining area, but the interior and exterior of what we did see was very clean. Customer service was very nice. With a perfect score of 5 out of 5, I give this restaurant an A+

My Sis and I were craving a good chili dog like up in North Jersey. We read YELP reviews and decided to give it a go. We are familiar with Fenwick Village so it was easy to find. From the moment we walked in we were pleasantly greeted and seated. There are several tables inside and the bar but they also have some seating outside. Our server Rob was awesome and so friendly and helpful. He even tried getting the NY Yankees game up on the one of the TVs. Excellent service! The atmosphere was very comfortable and reminds me of a friendly neighborhood bar. I ordered the Detroit dog with the chili, shredded cheddar and raw onions. Served up in a sub roll with a split 1/4 lb. very good tasting hot dog. Before coming in I had the mindset that one may not be enough for me. LOL! It was so filling. The hand cut fries that I upgraded to were delicious as well. My only wish for a future visit would be a bit more flavor on the chili not much, just a bit. The fries with a $3 up charge could have been more plentiful. Cannot wait to to come back and try another dog.

Have been coming here for years--at least 10x a year, and have sent more friends than I can count Twillys way. 4/5 times we have an excellent meal and service. But every so often it's like a completely different staff must be working and the service and food are subpar at best. I usually order the pork tacos, they are usually super flavorful and filling, but on our most recent visit they lacked any flavor at all sadly, and completely fell apart when I picked them up. It didn't help we had no napkins or a fork to help in this scenario. My last visit was on a Monday at 5pm, and the female server basically ignored us and spent the entire time catering to her friends seated nearby and bending over backwards for a large group as well. Drinks took at least 25 minutes to arrive. We were given no napkins or silverware. One meal arrived 10 minutes after the rest. No one checked on us and it took another 30 minutes to actually pay. Normally I would be very gracious as they were busy for this unusual day/time, but as mentioned other diners around us were being given the Royal treatment. I had planned to order several cocktails and stay and hang out but we were never asked if we wanted refills and the check was brought to us before we actually even asked for it. Will be back and hope for a more positive experience and better quality food that we know they can serve. But if you come in and it looks at all "busy" aka 3/4 full I'd turn around and go elsewhere. read more

This is a one star review for the website which failed to mention that they're closed MONDAYS and Tuesdays. Web site only says "closed Tuesdays." Our car wasn't the only one entering Fenwick Village and leaving ten minutes later. If we make it in on Wednesday, I'll update the review. But they lose stars for inaccurate information on their web site. read more

Such a cute little place! We enjoyed dinner outdoors at the picnic table with a beautiful view of the water and boats. We tried the Crabby Dog and the Shore Billy hotdog. Both were delicious, the hotdogs were huge, juicy and full of flavor. Would definitely come back ! read more

The people and the roll make the dog, Full Bar adds a bonus! And the bar is more than brewsky it's a craft mixologist pit stop. Had the NYC and was made by Twilley the man. Seek it out, in center of Fenwick Village. Easy parking! read more

Tried this little shop located in a small shopping village in Fenwick Island and liked the food. My 6-year old isn't a big eater, but he really liked the Fish & Chips. I thought the fish was good, but a bit on the expensive side. In fact, the chalk board menu doesn't list most prices so our final bill was a little more than I would have expected. In addition, they have this odd surcharge (around 3%) for credit card payments. The boardwalk fries were pretty close to what you would get on the boardwalk and there's ample malt vinegar available. My 4-year old fell asleep while I was placing my order. We ordered two beef tacos and I was going to split the order with him. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I was able to cleanly eat one entire taco with one hand while he was sleeping on my chest. On one hand, good tacos are usually messy. On the other hand, the flour soft taco was browned on the grill top to help keep its shape, making it easier to handle. read more

My god this place is fire!!!' A hot dog place???!! That sells Detroit style? Chicago? Their own creations??! Home made mf chips?!!!! I swear I had no idea about this place. I got the dirty dog and that chorizo and salsa on there with the creme is ridiculous Shannon got the crabby dog, crab dip on the hot dog and Mari got the Baltimore dog, Mac with lump crab and cheese. This place is phenomenal. This is going to be my go to place foe some fire ass hot dogs. I can't wait to try the philly dog next time oh and the service is awesome! We have been going here for years. Everything we ordered tonight for takeout was our normal order. WE REALLY have to THINK HARD ABOUT GOING BACK. HOT Dogs were good. Fries were good too. CHEESE STEAK WAS LOADED WITH SALT. VERY LITTLE MEAT ON BUN. FOR 17 dollars they can keep it. One hotdog order was messed up. For the price of a cheese Steak it was very disappointing. For a place our entire family goes to we will be hard pressed to go back. The steak my wife couldn't finish. Had a pound of salt on it. Must have different help. HIGH STAKES DOWN THE road is BETTER. 22 dollars for fish and chips. I know stuff went up but it seems like they are out pricing themselves. I hope they read this and they make a change. Owner is very nice. read more

First, and most importantly these days, they're taking "the Rona" very seriously... sanitizer everywhere & distancing being enforced. Sure, the hot dogs are fantastic (they get the rolls from a local bakery & they are delish) but the fish tacos are the BEST! And always vegetarian options too! It's kind of a locals/surfer type bar/restaurant but they have great drinks, and the food is well done! read more

This local Delaware Shore Bar/Restaurant is a welcome addition to Fenwick Island's restaurants. It is a family oriented establishment best known for its selection of hotdogs, fish & chips and double smash chili burgers. All food is served hot, quick and above all is delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. Of note, the staff is friendly, professional and fun. So when on the Delaware Shore, mosey on down to Fenwick Village Shopping Center and bring the family for a nice delicious meal, with quick service and at a reasonable price. read more

This place is amazing! I don't even care about hot dogs, but a friend recommended Twilley Willy's so I visited anyway. This was my favorite lunch I've had in a while. I got the Dirty dog and it was perfect. I don't know what they do to make the hot dog taste so good, but it would have been yummy even plain. With all the toppings, it was fantastic! My husband loved his San Francisco dog, too. Fries were great too. I will definitely come back! read more

This is not just a hot dog. It requires a fork and knife!! I tried the NYC dog and my wife got the Detroit and we split some plain fries. Everything was delicious. Good beer, good music, chill vibe. The bartender/waitress lady was high while skipping around and was too busy talking to the guys at the bar and didn't take our order so we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Don't know how they stay open, sad to say. Hope they have other bartenders and waiters because she doesn't get much accomplished that's for sure. read more

This is a sweet little restaurant with a small hometown feel. We ordered hot dogs, a chili burger, a chicken sandwich, and fries. The Philly hot dog stood out to the group for great flavor. The chili stood out for lack of flavor. The crabby hot dog was ok. The chicken sandwich was soggy. Flavors were all ok. The fries were good. I bet it tastes better if eaten in the restaurant. The menu is vast. I'm certain there is something for everyone, even vegetarians. We will give it another try with different options. read more

Great Lil hideaway spot! They had delicious burgers large portions of fresh fries huge hotdog selection and a cool vibe. Plus they don't over charge you just because your on vacation. Oh and a ice cream shop next door for dessert read more

Four stars all the way here. Located in the "Village of Fenwick this is a hidden GEM that is slightly challenging to locate but so totally worth it! Fresh baked rolls, superior ingredients and a great menu make this place a go to for anyone who loves hot dogs. I had the Fried Dog, smothered in caramelized onions, blue cheese with a ripper on it. Incredibly delicious. Hot French fries to boot. No heat lamp heated fries here. My wife had The Detroit (Coney Island Style), chili, cheddar cheese and raw onion with homemade chips. The baked bread is just super. For the drinkers they have a host of different Crushes and Craft Brewed beers. I suggest you give it a try! read more

I love a good hot dog so I was pretty happy to see this place pop up when searching for local restaurants and even better is the fact that it has a pet friendly patio, right on the water. We went for their football specials- $5 crushes & Rib Teaser w/fries & slaw and also got a couple of their all-beef hot dogs. I got the Wrightsville Dog which is chili, onions, mustard and slaw and hubby got the Cubano Dog - pulled pork, pickle, mustard and melted swiss - both dogs were absolutely delicious and we couldn't get over how large and juicy the all beef hot dogs were. The crushes and ribs were both delicious and the service was top notch, we will be back when in town for Sea Witch, it's definitely worth the short trek from Dewey. read more

Cool little place with a take-out counter as well as a sit down area with a full bar. Specialty seems to be a variety of different types of hotdogs with regional toppings. Portions are definitely big enough to get you full or to split with another person. Portions are in line with the prices. Flavor and taste was good on both the New York City and the Kansas City dogs. Great spot for lunch, or to just sit down at the bar have a beer and a bite. Would definitely recommend and will be back read more

Came here on late on a saturday night, not long before they closed. The service was great . Everyone was extremely friendly. The food is definitely exceeded our expectations. We got the dogs and sandwhichs it was all phenomenal. The fries were a great addition as well. This is a new must go to place when we make our trip up to ocean city every year. read more

We stopped in last night for dinner. The staff was friendly and the food was great. The atmosphere was perfect for a quick bite. The kids all had chicken fingers and fries. For our meals we both ordered the steak fajitas with corn tortillas, and I asked for extra peppers. It ended up being a $2 upcharge however, I feel like I am always shorted veggies when I'm down the beach and they gave quite a generous amount. As for the fajitas/steak, it was very well seasoned and very tender. Ultimately we had enough leftover to take home and throw in a wrap for lunch! For the cost, I felt the portions were quite fair. Overall I think we will absolutely be back. Highlights are the service and the value of the meal. I've had some very awful experiences with restaurants in OC and this place definitely gave me some hope. I would love to come back for their awesome sounding happy hour, as well as to try some tacos!
