Amazing food!! Love coming here for my lunch break between classes. Staff is super friendly! Fun environment.

We love this place. We live in Hendricks county but come to Muncie a couple times a year for the music series at Canan Commons. Since the restaurant at the hotel is closed TA is an easy block away. We've been there for breakfast and lunch. All fresh made it seems to me. The wife loves the hand cut fries. The statement on their website pretty much says it best. Food was okay but the chicken tenders were a little greasy. The price was good at $7 for 3 chicken tenders and fries.

Saturday evening 6:00 pm. We were seated right away with 5 adults in my group. The restaurant wasn't busy and I wondered why. We started with beers and ordered chicken wings as an appetizer. BBQ and maple chipotle. I found out later that evening the wings could have been cooked a little longer. They sell wings by weight I kind of question how a pound of wings equates to the number that we received. I ordered the Rooti Judi a house veggie burger, menu reads goat cheese spread, lettuce, pickle, onion maple chipotle. It's hard to describe this sandwich the seasoning in the patty was overbearing to the point that I couldn't taste the goat cheese spread. The patty texture was closer to mashed potatos not patty like. I wouldn't order it again. I really try to support local business in the area but after talking to everyone else in the group I just don't feel the value for the buck the food is average bar food. NOW the beer selection is very nice and priced right and served cold and the peanut butter pie is sinfully delightful. The service is great, our server was very good. I hope the best for this establishment. We all agree that we will return for beers and conversation but not for the food. read more

I've been lazy recently in doing reviews. This joint woke me from my slumber. The family started out with two appetizers: Cauli-Wings & O-Rings. The beer-battered cauliflower wings just might have become my favorite appetizer in the world. Now I just have to learn how to make them myself as I live 600 miles away. The onion rings were also excellent. Wife had the Philly Cheesesteak, daughter had the Mushroom Swiss burger. Both loved their selections. I had the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. Two. Words. WOW! Okay, that's one word. Describes it perfectly! Creamy and delicious! One other note: They regularly stock Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA. I've heard that it is VERY hard to get. But I got! Glad my daughter is here for graduate school at Ball State! I will eat here every time I visit the lovely city of Muncie! read more

Still pretty iffy on whether or not I will be returning. The waiter was very confused and seemed to be ignoring my table. There was one other party (of 3 in the restaurant), so it wasn't busy. He almost dumped a side of ranch on my friend, and didn't really seem to care. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, which was PHENOMENAL. The dip was creamy and very cheesy and the chips were definitely home made. They were crispy and delicious. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich and it was alright. I could tell it was homemade, however I have had much better. My friend ordered the turkey burger and she said that it was very average. Other than that, the concept is very good and I may be back for the spinach and artichoke dip and to try a different sandwich. read more

Went on a Saturday night 11/5/16 - before going out drinking at the Heorot we sat right next to the vintage turtles cabinet video game machine . They have like 6 of these games if you want to play while hanging out there We went to this location in all its previous iterations and never had negative experiences like some of our friends and reviewers had. For this visit , My wife and I were seated quickly and our drink order was taken by our friendly waitress, Bree. She helped my wife decide what beer to get, in a very welcoming way. By that I mean that you will sometimes run into beer snobs that are condescending or act like they don't have time. We ordered the fried pickle spears with our beers. I got a 3Floyds Gumballhead and it went Perfect with the flavor of the fried pickles. They are huge ! We could only eat a couple but would be great for a party of 4. They put fresh dill in there and other flavors into their beer batter that made the pickles taste amazing. We needed to order something quick because our friends were arriving at the Heorot - but next time we want to take it slower. I got the small General Tso craft chicken wings and my wife got the small Carnivore nachos with pulled pork. The food came out shortly after we were done with the fried pickles and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. Our server was friendly the whole time and the gentlemen dropping off the food was just as helpful. The service blew me away and the flavor and freshness of the food made for a very pleasant precursor to a night of drinking!! Nothing like getting in a party mood after eating great food and getting great service. Bree did a great job and if the other folks, in there , are half as inviting as her , then this place has a bright future . read more

Today was my first visit at Twin Archer. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo cavatappi. The food came quickly, and it smelled great and looked excellent on the plate! The toast and the pasta were both amazing! They were good enough that I will experience cravings for their flavors in the future. The chicken, however, was super bland. It was cooked well -- very tender. But it was tasteless. So much so that I saw no reason to finish eating it, and I pushed it to the side as I ate my pasta. When my server came, my plate was clean except for the chicken (everything else was very good). He asked me if there was something wrong with the chicken, and I mentioned that the chicken was very bland, but I said that everything else was excellent. He removed a portion of my bill to account for the chicken, and I was very appreciative of that gesture. So, I rate my visit today at 4-stars. read more

Twin archers has pretty good American style food. They also have big salads that are full of "superfoods". My favorite thing has to be their fries! I know that's weird, like a frys a fry, but they are good and crispy and stay that way while you eat your meal! I also had the onion rings, but I wasn't as impressed. The breading kept falling off and that's my favorite part of an onion ring! Also, they have pretty cheap craft beer as is true of most places in Muncie. read more

What a wonderful find! I wish it was a local place for me because it would become a regular spot! The food was amazing and they have an eclectic selection of microbrews and mainstream beers. I had a cup of beer cheese soup, fried pickles, and the cuban sandwich. Everything was so delicious. The service was top notch. The server allowed me to substitute the fried pickles as my side item instead of the options (fries and chips) that came with the sandwich which saved me some money. Five stars because it serves food till 2 AM downtown! (owners keep this in mind!!!!) This is similar to the Barn Brasserie that existed here before (same chef) but more focused on pub food. They Hoosier Pork Tenderloin is great... and I like how the buffalo wings are not breaded---and they have very creative sauces. Also very solid burgers and fresh cut fries. The onion rings are also top notch. They usually have a pretty well curated beer selection heavy on the Indiana breweries. (that's a good thing) Oh, and a great brunch on weekends! read more

Bottom line up front: food is a 3, service a 1, so overall it gets a 2. Review based on 3 lunches over the past 4 weeks. First, the food: pretty typical bar fare, drastically reduced menu from the predecessor in this location. Burgers with a few variations (patty melt, mushroom & swiss, etc.), chicken sandwiches, a pretty decent breaded tenderloin (with a clever name: "The Hoosier Cardiologist"). The sides are definitely a highlight: excellent onion rings and good fries - both recommended. Service is friendly but understaffed and S--L--O--W on both the kitchen and waitstaff sides. Different days, different times - always the same. At least you know what you are in for. If you see a "big table" (which is any party greater than 6, apparently), expect it to capsize the little system that normally keeps things barely functioning and that your order - and everyone else's - will be delayed and possibly wrong. Mention that your wait was unacceptable? Expect agreement but nothing else. A local spot that needs to up its game to justify the prices. read more

Wonderful service, even better food. Brunch here is so yummy! Definitely order beignets, eat them first so you're sure to save room! You can't go wrong with the breakfast menu! My personal favorite is the chicken and waffles. The chicken is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The waffle is crisp and yet fluffy. And the bacon syrup... to die for! We are visiting Muncie for a few days and have tried a wide variety of restaurants here. This is one I will definitely return to if I come back to Muncie. I love the fact that I can get a cup of soup with my burger instead of fries. The burger is good and the tomato soup is perfect. Hubby liked his chicken burger. The piece of chicken was nice and thick and he said it seemed baked instead of fried. We liked the pine walls and the invitation to draw pictures on the paper tablecloth. If they like your picture, they will post it on the wall. How fun! Maybe my hubby's sea monster will make the cut. :-) It also felt good to support a downtown business. We enjoyed walking around, looking at the historic brick buildings in the evening sunshine. Gorgeous! read more

Decent looking spot, but it was apparent they didn't chase their draft lines properly and my favorite beer tasted skunked. Should I have been happy because he served me 16oz of what normally comes in a 10oz pour? Maybe. So I asked about a couple other beers and the guy didn't even know what kind it was. Brew pub? Yeah I don't think so. Food? It smelled so good I had to have some. Bread to other stuff ratio bent heavily towards bread on my Philly and was suuuuper fracking salty. I've had better in the frozen section at wal mart. Not a terrible experience or anything, but anyone who would give this 4 or 5 stars works here or is boning someone who does. I'm not upset or anything, but I won't be back. read more

One of the best places in Muncie to eat. Great burgers, amazing fries, Mac and cheese options that are delicious, plus the best peanut butter pie ever. We have eaten here dozens of times with only one bad experience where they were understaffed on what turned out to be family weekend for BSU. I'm recently rediscovering my hometown, and this little find was a welcome indulgence on my day out and about. First of all, who doesn't love a place with multiple local craft beer options? They've got the staples for those people that can't part with their beloved domestic, but the tap provided so many fun options for us. My sister had a sour which she loves, and I chose a great blonde. The menu had plenty of options for everyone, I saw many choices that catered to vegetarians (think cauliflower wings), but for carnivores like myself....plenty of traditional bar food plus some new things. I went with a smokehouse burger....can you say yummmm....bacon, gouda, and other fixings, No bun or fries for me since I'm currently a keto-er....and I choose to save my carbs for alcohol lol. But my sis enjoyed hers. Not even a fan of coleslaw normally but theirs was tasty. I'll definitely come back to Twin Archer when I'm back in town again. read more

Stopped by from out of town. The 15 beer taps were working fine now, mostly craft selections, and I overheard they are soon to brew some beer of their own. Beer prices were reasonable. My wife, however, got the tiniest $7.00 mimosa known to man. Food was pretty good, but overpriced. we were there while they were serving some sort of brunch menu, $12 for some waffles with fruit (which turned out to be only a slice of watermelon) and 12$ for a fried green tomato BLT which had very little bacon, and came with fries instead of the grits I ordered. But everything tasted pretty good. Probably would be a 3 1/2 star review, were such things allowed, but I notched it up due to friendly service, and the fact they are new. read more

Great choice of beers and great starters. The Chef Fries sounded like they may not be good, but after trying them they were very amazing and not soggy at all. The Pickle chips were better than what most places have. Will return! read more
