Our second visit here after a span of almost nine years. The inside is amazing and one gets a feel that you are in a nice restaurant. The service is amazing as well. Staff aware which dishes are or can be made vegan. The Pumpkin and the Coconut soup lacked flavour and punch that we look for. Less seasoned and way less spicy. The Mango Roll was very good and was fresh as it can be. The dipping sauce not so much. Asked for some chilli/hot sauce and that was not spicy as well. The Green Curry was OK and still needed some spice, I am guessing the dishes are made for Canadian population and not for people who have been to Thailand multiple times and have tasted food there. The coconut rice was good and rich, but the fried rice was very disappointing. Again just rices tossed in soy sauce. The rice quantity is also just barely enough for one. Came here on a Saturday for dinner and it was the most packed among all the restaurants in the Courtney Park plaza. We ended up having to wait awhile to be seated, so definitely make a reservation ahead of time! It seems like their curry is very popular but I ended up going for the pad see ew. The portions were decently big and they felt bad we had to wait awhile to get seated, so they made sure to get our food out pretty quickly. Everyone I was with seem to really enjoy their dish, while I found mine to be just okay - really like most other pad see ews I've had. However, I do appreciate the dish not being super oily. I probably won't be back soon, just because I'm not one to crave thai food too often and if I do, I'm usually just satisfied with a quick visit to Thai Express, but would maybe come back to celebrate a friend's birthday here. read more

I had heard great things about this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. We ordered the coconut shrimp, General Tso's chicken, and Bangkok Pad Thai (which was very, very spicy), along with a mango milkshake and ginger honey tea. Everything was really good. When I mentioned to the server that the Bangkok Pad Thai was too spicy, he offered to make it less spicy, but we declined. Delicious - I just came back from Thailand and this is the closest you will find to real authentic flavours. The service was amazing, we were greeted by first name and the servers were attentive and quick. We were here for my parents' anniversary and they loved it. Seems to be newly reno'd so the interior was bright and clean. Make a reso before coming! We ordered the Twin Fish sample appetizer (not sure the official name) which included summer rolls, spring rolls, beef and chicken satay, calamari, and shrimp chips. All sooo good, the best vegetarian spring rolls I've ever tasted. Calamari was fried perfectly and I loved that we got a lot of its meat. Our main dishes were the red snapper with basil sauce, pineapple fried rice, and curry pad thai. I would've liked more pineapple flavour to come out of the rice, but it was tasty regardless. The fish was good too, my mom's friend recommended that dish so she had high expectations. I'd recommend TwinFish to those who want real Thai food and don't need the fancy aesthetic. At this restaurant, I would have to say it was my least favorite in comparison to other places. It was flavorful but I have certainly had better. Omg, I can't believe I've never had Twin Fish Thai until now! It was so delicious that I immediately ordered for a second time (both times for takeout) less than a week later. The first time, my boyfriend and I got the shrimp paste fried rice, golden chicken curry with steamed rice, basil lamb, and finishing off with a mango sticky rice for dessert. The shrimp paste fried rice was the best, without a doubt! I probably had 80% of that (poor boyfriend...). It had 3 massive prawns, lots of stir fried squid, mussels, scallops, and a bit of imitation crab. I loved the "wok hei" - it had such a great char and flavour! The golden chicken curry was also good; it had a nice coconut flavour and a generous amount of chicken breasts. The basil lamb was quite disappointing - I didn't like that it was sweet, but there was also a mystery meat that didn't seem like lamb. It was so tenderized and marinated that it could've been mistaken for beef; you have to chew quite a bit before the gameyness comes out. By the time dessert came around, I was so full that I could only stomach a few bites. The forbidden purple rice had a great nutty flavour and chewy texture, and the sweet salty coconut cream was a great contrast to the super sweet and ripe mango. The second time, I reordered the shrimp paste fried rice, but this time switched it up with a chicken emerald curry with coconut rice (my favourite!) and the South Thai lamb curry. The shrimp paste fried rice was BOMB and didn't disappoint, as expected. The emerald curry was also good; I loved the coconut rice! It had a subtle coconut sweetness and the rice wasn't dry, the perfect amount of fluff and moist. The South Thai lamb curry was not that good, unfortunately. The lamb was yummy, but the curry was super sweet and sticky. Too sweet, in fact. Would not get the next time - though I like coconut curries, I found the tamarind and palm sugar to be a bit too much. I cannot wait to come again and have the shrimp paste fried rice! Chic Thai restaurant with clean decor and food to match. Service: The restaurant was very accommodating, especially as we were a large group and didn't make a reservation for lunch. The waiters got our orders correct without writing them down, but had to ask for the bill several times (may be a little forgetful). Food: The pad thai was well cooked, with the noodles having a springy texture and the peanuts and chili pepper flakes on the side being a nice touch as we can mix in however much we like. I was a little disappointed in the tiger prawns, as there were very few in my plate and they were fairly small, but the dish still tasted good. I was really hopeful for this place due to the positive reviews so I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp $15.00 +1.00 extra and a Coconut Soup $7.00. The Pad Thai was flavourless, I got a lot of noodles so it's big in portion but shrimp was very small and chicken was overly cooked. Lack of flavour and dryness was disappointing, just felt like there wasn't enough sauce. As for the soup, continuing on a similar theme it was weak in flavour and didn't really have the kind of taste I expected so I couldn't even finish it. Perhaps others will have better luck with different menu items? Personally for me, Pad Thai is a staple and how I judge all Thai restaurants. The patio is currently open and I decided to try out this restaurant even though I'm not a fan of Thai food. Since the pandemic is going on, they have moved seating to the outside. The staff was very friendly and attentive. To start, we got the coconut shrimp which was surprisingly big. The sauce that came with it was something like a sweet and sour sauce. Very tasty! For my main, I decided to go with the mango chicken. The mango that comes with it is an apple mango I think. It was very ripe and the sauce was tangy, savoury and a little spicy. It came with a lot of mixed vegetables. The portions are pretty big and I think it's worth the price. My friends got the lamb curry and mixed vegetables. They both looked good, but I think I'll still be sticking with the mango chicken. read more

Firstly, the people here are so friendly and so gracious.. you actually feel like you've been invited into there home and are the guest of honour. We ordered the appetizer plate (spring rolls, chicken/beef satay, shrimp chips, calamari), Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai, Chili Chicken and Pineapple fried rice.. Please excuse my photos, but the food was so delicious I wasn't able to be patient and take a decent photo. I've had a million Pad Thai's but there's was the best. Food was so fresh and hot. You could really tell everything is made with love. The Pineapple fried rice was delicious. The Chili chicken was hands down my fave. I enjoyed the appetizer plate. The satay was scrumptious. I really can't wait to go back and I don't say this often.. and please generously tip the staff. They go over and beyond to make you feel comfortable and accommodate you in every way. The place itself is beautifully decorated and you could definitely feel the Thai vibe. With patios open again I had to stop by my long time fav Twin Fish! Their new patio in Courtney park is convenient, with covered tents to protect you from rain or shine. I ordered my go-to dishes after maybe a year or so without indulging- and they were just as good as ever. I really missed their South Thai Lamb Curry, with it's delicious massaman base. I also had to order their Thai Iced Tea because it's been too long since I last had one! The food came out quickly and was devoured even quicker, and the service was fantastic as usual. Twin Fish has the most genuine and caring servers, and I'm glad to see the same familiar faces after the past year of the pandemic. I finally found good pad thai!!! I love pad thai but as long as I've been in the GTA I have found it so troublesome to find it prepared the way I'm used to and love. I really only enjoy it when the sauce includes tamarind, which I have found a lot of places seem to not to here for some reason. Twin fish makes it exactly as I remember it from my old thai take-out! I got the chicken and shrimp and it was phenomenal! I really like how they add the chilli oil to the dish, I always ask for extra. While the food is good, the price is expensive. I paid almost thirty dollars for an order of pad thai and shrimp rolls (which were underwelming, just stick to the pad thai). If the portions were greater, I wouldn't mind this but I had maybe 4 shrimp in my dish and not too much chicken either. I also never finish a meal as I get full so fast but I ate the entire dish as it really wasn't that much food. Twin Fish Thai Cuisine is located in the Courtney Park Cineplex outdoor boulevard across from Demitres. This complex with all the restaurants, theatres and other businesses seem very busy. The parking lot is usually packed on a weekend and for what equates to mostly an industrial/commercial area this area seems to bring in residents from the north Mississauga area and beyond. For the amount of restaurants in the surrounding complex Twin Fish Thai is just one of them. This place is a true sit down restaurant where the menu offers starters, dishes for individuals but seems to be more geared towards family style ordering. With the size of our party (6) we did just that. So with a full table of adults that love Asian food I thought we'd get a mix going on. I basically ordered for table after taking a quick poll of what everybody wanted and came up with the following. To start we'd go with the mango salad. I ended up getting 2 orders so it was 3 to a plate. These servings were actually quite generous and tasty. I really liked the touch of cashews in the salad as it adding that something to break the sweet crunchy texture of the salad. For main dishes we went with 2 x Bangkok chicken pad thai noodle plates for sharing. Add in two other chicken dishes with the chili chicken and General Tso which were similar but one spicier than the other. The pineapple fried rice was a generous sized serving consider we already had two noodle dishes and we also balanced it out with ginger beef, sweet and sour snapper and stir fried broccoli and king mushroom. All the dishes were very good. I found the meat dishes to be perhaps a little smaller than expected considering the size of the noodle, rice and salad dishes. Overall the food was very good and fresh. I liked the balance we selected and for the amount of people we had, we ordered appropriately and had very little left overs but enough to take home still. This place is all-time favorite of our close friends and they took us there for a lunch. It runs busy generally so I recommend booking a reservation. From the first looks of it, the place is vibrant and lively unlike other Thai joints which could be dark and mediocre-looking. Perfect place to take family for lunch. In food we ordered spring rolls, tom yum soup, coconut soup, mango salad, panang curry, curried pad thai and red thai curry. Overall, everything had great taste and presentation. Out of all, I especially liked coconut soup. You will appreciate it if you like soothing comfort soups. The way they treat tofu was a bit disappointing as it was a very fluffy version. I personally like extra firm tofu which has a bite to it. Ignoring that, red thai curry's flavoring was on point. Everybody liked Panang curry too (I didn't try as it was non-veg). Overall it costed us ~120 bucks for 4 - not bad for the amount of food we ordered. The plaza in which restaurant is situated also has good vibe to it - I am sure it must be great visit in summers with patios in each restaurant and a lively little street. IDK LOL I thought my spice tolerance was not that bad and I really enjoy spicy but I was STRUGGLING!! Or my stomach is just too sensitive to spice now that I was hurting for 2 days.. : BUT the food was good rofl. It hit the spot as it was a cold day. My bf got the red snapper which is a deep fried fish filet. Soft and tender with random veggies on it and a side of rice. The fish wasn't too deep fried like normal fish and chips. Loved every item we tried. This was out first takeout from here and simply enjoyed - crab fried rice, tofu khao soi and the pad thai. Must see every dish had a wonderful flavor. I was skeptical about the khao soi since I a bit particular about it and not many thai places have impressed me with but this is good. The pad thai definitely is too good - I tried it specifically since it was one of the popular items and that's very true. Also I liked it that the peanuts were given on the side and not added to pad thai. Twin fish comes off as a finer way to enjoy Thai cuisine. The restaurant is laid out with white linen tables and minimal decor to give it a feel of fancy. The service is very friendly and helpful, regularly bringing water and checking in on you as you dine. I ate the pad thai with grilled bbq chicken and mango salad (13.95$)! This was a great dish, the chicken was flavourful and moist, the noodles had an appropriate amount of sauce but my favourite part of the dish was the mango salad. The freshness of the fruit mixed with the peppers and apples was amazing! I would go back just for this. A well enjoyed meal without breaking the bank. The chicken pad thai ($16) - that Ive had for the last 2 visits were really bland, and did you guys go cheap on the ingredients? Because it sure had not enough chicken like it used to. I've had better pad thai from you guys before. Plus the price now matches the ones in Toronto which taste waaaaay much better. Time to get back to the game!! Secondly, the Thai iced tea. One of our favourite restaurants in Mississauga. The food here is delicious and the people are super friendly. Definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try. The dishes that we usually order are: Thai smoked shrimp paste fried rice - one of their most unique dishes that they offer. This is probably the only place that we know that offers this dish. It's a fried rice with variety of seafood. The flavour just amazing. It's so good, it's hard to describe the taste. Crab spring rolls - Also really good, definitely a must try. Not the same as your typical spring rolls you find in restaurant. This ones light and flavourful. Pad see ew with chicken - the noodles have a perfect texture, the chicken is very tender and not dry and the portion size is pretty good too. Appetizer platter - nice variety of appetizers, very filling for one person. Everything was delicious. It comes with spring rolls, chicken and beef skewer, calamari, fresh rolls and shrimp chips. Great Atmosphere, clearly wasn't a semi fast food place, the interior had some sophistication.
