The owner greeted us at the door and was incredibly friendly during our entire meal, checking to ensure everything was perfect. Everything, including the sauces, are made in-house, and are all delicious. We were in for dinner on a Friday night, which is their prime rib night, however we opted to each try something different on the menu so we could share. Twin Forks is a hidden gem. Off the side of the road at Highway 285 and North Turkey Creek Road, this restaurant with the big forks has so much to brag about. Great food, great wine list and cocktails, amazing service, awesome owner and cozy atmosphere. My husband and I love it. It never disappoints. The best food within 20 miles of Evergreen. I love the shrimp cocktail with housemade spicy cocktail sauce and my husband loves the peppercorn beef medallions. But to be honest everything we have ever had there has been very good. They have a big separate room for parties and a cozy bar. Can't say enough. The owner, Roger, is dedicated to making his restaurant the best and it shows. Support a local (non-chain) business. Placed our order Wednesday night for prime rib (due to the supply of meat and not being able to sit in the restaurant) BEST to go meal I have ever had in my life! Highly recommend these guys! We were a little leary when pulling in, but you can't judge a book by its cover...or restaurant by its exterior. Jen, our waitress, was extremely friendly and informative. Everyone else was also very friendly and welcoming. All the food is homemade...you get that home-cooked meal without the mess. We had the polenta fries, meatloaf, and pork chops...all fabulous! Darn delicious is what I have to say. We tried to go there before, and we happened to visit on one of the two days they weren't open, so we've been curious ever since. They are not open on Sundays or Monday (I'm pretty sure), but we went last night, and I'm glad we did! It's a bit pricey, but it's not overpriced for the quality you get. I had the meatloaf/green beans/mashed potato special, and my husband had the pork chop special with raspberry butter sauce. It's not as sweet as you'd think, but I think my meatloaf was spectacular. It was moist and awesome. The pork chop was grilled, and it was so moist and perfect!! I also had a pineapple martini, which was super. Plan to spend probably $80 if both of you get one drink, more for more drinks. Everyone was very attentive, and the service was great!!! The ONLY bad thing is that it's kinda loud in there....we sat at a table towards the front near the bar, and there was a group a few feet away, and I kept having to ask my husband, "huh, what?" We came in off a road trip and didn't want to hit the Denver crowds and saw the twin Forks Tavern sign thinking it was dive bar. Once we entered we realized it is definitely a restaurant. We sat at the bar and saw a takeout pizza that looked great but I was not in the mood for pizza. I found this place on Yelp and my wife and I stopped here before a concert at Red Rocks. I was a little worried it would be super busy but it wasn't. We started our meal off with the duck wings which were amazing. I had the Pepperoni and Mascarpone pizza and my wife had the Beef Tenderloin. Both were very good but I think the favorite was the pizza. The wait staff was extremely nice and I believe either the manager or owner was also working the room and striking up conversations with people. Twin Forks prepares some excellent food. My only complaint is that they offer a number of special entrees and appetizers. I have gotten use to restaurants charging a premium for their specials. However, Twin Forks' specials are twice the cost of their most expensive entrees. They presented the specials verbally at the table without mention of the prices. Our group of 10 were astounded when we got our bills. It would have been so easy to print out the specials and prices for their menu. We might have even been willing to pay $190 ($240 w/tip) for 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and 5 drinks. I doubt it, but maybe when if we were ready to splurge. But we felt taken advantage of. Excellent. Twin Forks continues to serve up amazing meals. We drove up the mountains out of Denver(about 1/2 hour) through rain and snow to get to our favorite restaurant. Despite the weather, the place was busy. The service was very good. Excellent food and wine selections. My filet Oscar was so delicious and tender. Mushroom appetizer and duck wings were excellent as well. Everyone loved their meals which included steaks, tuna and salmon. We shared lemon cake for desert. I never knew that lemon cake could be so good. So, we will continue to visit Twin Forks Tavern for great dinners when we are in the area. read more

We arrived about an hour early before the kitchen opened. They seated us quickly even offered to make my daughter food before the kitchen even opened so she wouldn't be hungry. Very attentive staff, checked on us frequently. The food came in quick and it was DELICIOUS. Gourmet food that was definitely affordable. The best meatloaf I have ever had in my life. We are visiting from California and we will most definitely return to twin forks tavern the next time we are in town. I would recommend them to everybody. Wow! Fabulous food for a very reasonable price. For appetizers we shared an order of the flatbread with 1/2 hummus 1/2 tapenade and an order of the duck wings. I had the Thai chili shrimp entree. The tapenada was as good as any I've ever had, the flatbread was fresh and hot, the shrimp was a delicate light flavor. Good wine selection at reasonable prices. My dining companions had the scallop and chicken entrees and said they were also very good. If your idea of good food is measured by the size of the portions, this isn't for you. But if you like something a bit uncommon and quite well prepared, I encourage you to try Twin Forks. read more

Twin Forks is a great find! We took a wrong turn in a snowstorm and saw a banner for Twin Forks and decided to check it out. Based on the banner, I thought it was a burger joint. Boy was I wrong. The surprisingly elegant interior raised our expectations and they were exceeded! The gourmet menu had choices that were unusual and very reasonably priced. I needed to have a couple of them explained, but my mouth was watering by the time Ashley was done. Fried brussell sprouts with bacon and a fabulous sauce containing a trace of honey was just perfect. Perfect. My husband's polenta fries were excellent, but ranked a distant second. His tenderloin special was perfect. My scampi was perfect. The wine, suggested by Ashley, was perfect. Dessert, some type of lemon cookie was excellent. Entree portions were on the smaller side but so perfectly prepared and presented that we decided they were perfect., If I had to criticize something, and I must because this is Yelp, I would say that the service was a little over-attentive. A very minor complaint. $75 for two entrees, two appetizers, one dessert and one glass of wine. WOW - a deal! And we are still talking about how great dinner was and when we can schedule a return visit. Do yourself a favor and head up 285 to the Turkey Creek exit and go to Twin Forks. read more

We came after a long day in the mountains and were very impressed. First impression we were greeted at the door by Roger and then by every one at the bar on our way to the table. Roger who also seated us took time to talk to my kiddo. Our server Amber was amazing brought crayons for my daughter and drew on the table with her. Kept our drinks full and did her very best to accommodate us. The food was good we loved the brussel sprouts but the service defiantly put it over the top. I will only recount what happened, you can make up your own mind. On the evening of April 26 four of us arrived at Twin Forks Tavern at about 7:50. I ordered the raw tuna poke, a featured appetizer that night. The others ordered other things. I ate it at about 8:40 or so, noticing a fleeting, funky taste at one point but continued to eat. From 2:30 a.m. until about 4:30 a.m. or so I experienced diarrhea and vomiting and was exhausted and nauseated most of the following day. Nobody else in our group was sick, in fact they enjoyed their meals. read more

This place is under new management by the folks who own/run The Vine wine shop next door (same building). It has a great new menu and wine tastings Friday night. Love having this near home! My husband and I went here for 5280 Restaurant week and their food was awesome!! I got the coconut shrimp sticks and he got the duck wings. They were both really, really good! Then for our main dish it was salmon w/ wasabi mashed potatoes and I had pork tend. The salmon was the best we have ever had. No fishy taste at all! We will definitely be going back! The atmosphere was also really nice. The place is pretty fancy and they have expensive food on their menu along with a couple types of pizzas.
