Sorry, I didn't take pictures because this little fish market/restaurant was wonderful. When we first entered Massachusetts, I decided to on a tour of restaurants that sold whole-belly fried clams. Of the four restaurants I went to, Twin Seafood won hands down. While some were crisper, they lacked flavor. Some were greasy and too large. Some were over-cooked. Twin Seafood's whole belly clams were so good, I ate them cold and they were still flavorful. My man had their salmon luncheon plate, It was big enough for dinner! This place is not fancy but their food was hot and tasty. I loved their spicy crab soup. I see a number of bad reviews here yet, for me, after traveling through Massachusetts to New Hampshire to sample whole-belly clams, they got my vote and I will definitely be back. read more

Alright. It'll do the trick in a pinch, especially if you're nearby. Service is nice, portions on the lobster roll are fine, but I can't give five stars to a place that serves a lobster roll on a hamburger style bun and recommends lettuce. read more

We came here for Mother's Day and we are super glad that it was low-key and the ambiance was calm and not as busy as other restaurants during this day. The staff here were sweet and prompt with bringing the food out to us. I ordered the grilled salmon (lunch) with a salad, and the proportion was ample enough for all of us to share. The burger was juicy, and my MIL got the fish and chips and she thoroughly enjoyed it. read more

The seafood is clearly extremely fresh and everything is cooked-to-order. And this place is pretty well-loved by locals (gets a lot of foot traffic). The highlight for me was the lobster roll; portion size was generous to the point where the lobster was falling out of the roll! The haddock was kinda average though as it didn't really impress much. Went for a quick bite before going to true westbfor a draft. Really wanted to like this place. Cute, clam shack type vibe in the suburbs. Greeted right way and the kid was warm and personable and took our order. Ordered the fried clams with fries and coleslaw and the fried oysters with sweet potato fries. Our order came up quickly and they brought it to our table. All going well so far. The clams were cooked well and tasted somewhat fresh..the fries were done well. Clams were not really big in size and the belly a little undersized but a solid 3 star. The oysters tastes a bit old ..over cooked on the outside and undercooked inside the sweet potato fries lacking and overcooked. I would also suggest turning the oil as the taste permeated both. A two to three star meal. Sorry, I love seafood and wanted to love it more. In summary great people..need to work the fry line better. Being on west coast time, I didn't get hungry until the middle of the day, so I was able to check lobster roll off my list when I visited Twin Seafood. The cold lobster roll was delicious and fresh. Sweet lobster with a little lemon squeezed on, in between a butter brioche roll was a great combo, and the fries were crispy and the coleslaw was sweet, refreshing and delicious. This place is worth eating at if you are out this way, for sure. Service was friendly at this cafe style restaurant, you walk in order and pay and you have to grab your own silverware and napkins. Raw seafood prices are a bit high but the cooked items are delicious and priced well. Grilled salmon sandwich - 5/5 very good. Came with a thick piece of salmon filet. Ask for lettuce, tomato and onion when ordering. Fisherman's platter - 4/5 everything on the platter tasted juicy and fresh. I especially liked the whole belly clams and shrimp. The fries were alright and tasted frozen. Onions rings - 4.5/5. I don't think these are made jn house but they were perfectly fried and tasted great. There's so much promise for such an informal seafood joint. Unfortunately it doesn't deliver. After ordering from the counter, we sat down at one of the few tables inside. The lobster roll, served on a brioche hamburger bun, of all things, was bread heavy. The lobster itself what nicely chilled but bland. Fried clams we're nicely done, but under seasoned. Fried scallops were enormous, but not as sweet as I was expecting, and had an aftertaste that was kind of bitter. Clam chowder was tasty and thin. Lobster bisque was nicely done as well. read more

Nice place if you don't care about flavor.. I ordered for pickup and they were bagging my order as soon as I walked in, so I was excited that it was fresh. It was a bit of a wait when I ordered so I had to sit in the lot for about 25 min. The clerk was friendly and the place was clean. Seems like a relaxing place to sit in. Only a couple of booths for sitting though. I ordered the swordfish sandwich with fries. Both were dry and not much flavor. I have been getting my regular seafood platters, including a lot of fried haddock plates and lobster rolls, and it was good! However, toward the end, one time I ordered 2 similar plates (one fried haddock, the other fish and chips), usually similar and generous in size, and inexplicably, they were both only 1/2 the size they normally were, in a box half the size of the regular one! There was no explanation, and no reduction of price. Later I placed another similar order, and ONE of them was full size, the other half size, like the ones I had gotten before. Again, no explanation, and no reduction in price for the small one! So, naturally, I began to doubt this place I had come to patronize. So I tried Atlantic Seafood, across town, which was making a product just as good if not better, and much more consistent. Our order on a rainy Thursday night Bacon cheeseburger 2x (kids) Fish n chips (Texan) Fried haddock sandwich (Texan) Shrimp strips roll (I may have messed my wife's order by saying shrimp instead of clam) Crabmeat sandwich (mine) First off, the portions were enormous. Everything came with French fries and the seafood dishes cole slaw and tartar sauce. My crabmeat was on point, well seasoned and delicious. I also am the only one to eat the slaw, basic nothing stupid (looking at you rasin people) but nothing wow either, safe and good. Despite my order mishap, the shrimp roll was great too, but I didn't even get offered a bite. Haddock was "amazing. We just don't get good seafood like this back home."" The fish and chips were eaten, lol didn't really get any feedback except there were no leftovers. Kids liked the burger, ate all the bacon and cheese off them, and didn't care for the crispy outside, but the middle was nice and juicy. French fries were standard homestyle ff. I doubt made in-house, but not McCains or Oridas. The only downside was the rain. We planned on eating at their outside dining, but with the rain, that was a no-go. Came for lobster rolls. Which were pretty darn good. They serve them on a round roll, not the typical hot dog roll. But it worked. And because the roll was bigger, you end up with more lobster. They offer the option of lettuce and tomato on their lobster roll. I say never. The fries were plentiful and good. But they have some generic ketchup - I'm a Heinz diva - so ended up bringing most of the fries home. I wish there had been a salad option as opposed to fries. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is consistently amazing and fresh, prices are very reasonable and the people are fun. We've had the fisherman's platter, grilled salmon platter and grilled tuna platter as well as the fish & chips, all fantastic. The sweet potato fries are delicious and the salad dressing is freshly made. I love sitting outside (as long as there are no bees) the shade of the big tree outside and the view of the church next door are beautiful. This is a special find--a beautiful pearl among seafood restaurants. The clam chowder that I started with was delicious. My main course was a lobster roll. It had the largest, most generous portion of delicate lobster that I have ever had on a tasty roll. A large portion of fries, and coleslaw accompanied the fare. A friend ordered a fish sandwich and another friend, fried shrimp. They offered a taste and I was pleased to find both were fresh and delicious. Ordered a Lobster Roll with a side of Onion rings and a Clam Plate to go. We waited no kidding less than 15 minutes and we had our order brought out to us while waiting in our car. I visited for the first time today and ordered a fisherman's fried platter to go. When I got home I opened it saw the cooks made a big mistake (J/K ) They made my order for two people LOL , It was HUGE with at least 10 clams, 8 jumbo scallops, 8 large shrimp and at least 6 oz of fresh haddock and the onion rings I opted for were humungous and about 10 of them too . I have been a customer at both locations and today had my first bad experience. I arrived at 11:05 on May 2nd and was the only person there, the one employee wearing a Winter knit hat just stared at me. When he came out from the kitchen area he didn't say a word, I said hi, how are you and got a mumbled "fine" from him and that was it. No return greeting or what can I get for you, simply a blank stare. I asked for two lobster rolls and he said "fries", yes please. He rang up my order, never said thank you, even when I took my bag from him and thanked him again, nothing. I even said have a great day.....silence. The lobster meat was fine, the bun was stale and no attempt to even grill it was made. The fries, which I usually love, were so under cooked. All in all, a disappointing and not inexpensive visit.. We ate here on Wednesday and we really liked it. My husband called it a "hidden gem in plane sight". He had the lobster roll and loved it. I had the fishermans platter. I am a clam lover and I am pretty fussy about the clams, but I was very pleased with my dinner. The clams were small (which is what I like). I would rate the clams an 8, they were very good. The scallops were sooooooo sweet. The platter also had shrimp and haddock which were good. I told the chef how much we enjoyed our lunch and will be back soon. They have outdoor seating as well. First time going here and having a meal. Service was prompt and friendly. Feels more like a boutique fish shop than a restaurant (it is a seafood store too). Decor is, humble, but there is a deck/patio for outdoor dining which is nice. I got their clam chowder and I enjoyed it. Had good depth of flavor, enough liquid and chunks of clams and potatoes for a good balance. I would describe the viscosity as being on the thinner side, so if you like it thick and creamy it might not be your style. I also got a lobster roll. It is on a round bun, which isn't traditional, out fine in my book. They grilled the roll, fire, not flat top which added nice char. Now the only reason not to give it full stars is the coleslaw is small and okay, fries were okay (I would prefer fresh cut with a double fry, but that's picky) but mostly the cost. It's not pricey, it's "market rate" which means it is not 3-5 bucks cheaper which would put it in the "really good food for a great price" of full stars. Overall I will return to try out some of their other offerings. read more

Before I begin (and for the record) this is my first ever YELP review. I have been working in the service industry for 13 years, and I abhor YELP. It destroys hard-worker's credibility and reputation, because of its inaccuracy. However, thanks YELP, because I've found great restaurants from your POSITIVE reviews. That being said, there are many other struggling local businesses that do not disappoint like this one. I have been ordering raw fresh fish and delicious take-out from TS for many years. I supported them during COVID. When I arrived to pick up my large order, they had no recollection that I had spoken to them 20 minutes prior to pick up. The lobster salad had many shells, and the clam chowder was an oily, salty, sad excuse of a delicious (easy to make) soup. Today, regrettably so, I struck out again again. By the time I arrived home (five minutes from TS) the clams were gummy, cold, and overly greasy (yes, I know fried food is greasy. Maybe try using a different oil or clean your grease traps regularly as directed by the board of health. Just a thought.) The Haddock Chowder tasted as if one tossed a quart of Old Bay Seasoning into a pot of heavy cream, and then proceeded to add every bit of extra ambiguous "white meat" into the mix. Inedible. I'm not a Karen. I'm writing this in support of other local businesses who strive to serve the general public consistently, cheerfully and sanitarily during these trying times.
