I've only ever had the milk green tea with pudding and boba ($4), and that's really the only thing I'll ever need to get at Ozero. It's simple, it's good. It could be a bit cheaper, but I suppose $4 is standard. The only complaint I have about this place is its lack of space. It is unbelievably narrow. When the place starts to fill, I feel so crowded in and uncomfortable. People literally have to squeeze in between tables just to walk to the cash register to make an order. Last time I came, I saw somebody that I wanted to avoid, but then realized how challenging it would be to avoid somebody less than 10 feet away (even though that person was all the way across the room). That should give an idea of how small the place is... So, if you're looking for a good drink to just take out, come to Ozero! If you plan to stay and hang out with friends--comfortably--then go somewhere with more open space unless you like feeling uncomfortable while people glare at you to leave so they can take your table. Oh, and they have signs announcing that if you reuse the boba cup next time you go, you get one free topping. This was a good idea with their previous harder, better quality cups, until they converted to flimsier, cheaper ones recently. Also, Ozero uses the Five Star card instead of an individual stamp card. What a shame- made my first order here last night and it will likely be my last. We'll start right he good: the boba tea I got had a truly unique flavor and was very tasty. But the boba was more mushy than I'm accustom to.... and that's where the good ends. Love this stuff! I love the chrysanthemum tea with grass jelly. Not too sweet and has the right amount of tea in there. Def my go-to place when we come down to this area. I also love the longan house special tea with grass jelly. I love the grass jelly here. Its soft but not super soft where its soggy. The longan house special tea isnt too sweet. I wish it had a little bit more longan flavor, but its still good. The dark sugar grass jelly tea is so good!!!! My first time here was a success. I ordered the "lychee teazer" with boba and grass jelly. It was pretty good. The cups were thicker and more ridged than cups at other places. I hear the popcorn chicken is pretty good. I've got to try that next. Because a lot of the restaurant faces west, it gets very hot in the afternoon. I found it very stuffy and uncomfortable if you are wearing a suit having dinner. Update...4 stars a couple years ago. Now 2 stars. As of 10/11/2014 I find the service getting worse at this place. They continue to mess up my orders. Then say I wasn't clear with my order so they "make assumptions" when I am not clear. How about asking me instead of making assumptions. Or say, "sorry for the miscommunication, I'll fix the order." I don't want to waste my time listening to you justify why you make assumptions on a customer's orders. I have no problems paying the difference in price for my meal change. So just change the damn order and charge me accordingly. Ordered one meal spicy and one meal not spicy (my kids can't eat any spicy). Go figure...both are spicy. My kids can't eat anything I ordered. Ended up getting food from another restaurant for my kids. Perhaps the server was upset with me and wanted payback. Guess it's a sign to find another restaurant. My family and I make this our weekly treat! The employees are incredibly friendly and accommodating. I usually order the egg puffs and fish ball curry ramen, both of which are super delicious!! Their drinks are the perfect size and are made to the individual's preference. Last night, I ordered the marshmallow sweet butter toast and the egg puffs with matcha ice cream and I've found my new favorite dessert! My favorite boba place.. of all time. Ive seen this place become so many other spots but I'm glad that it has stayed TBS. I have a great experience here every time I come whether its for a quick grab for a drink or to come study when midterms/finals season hits. Christina is probably my favorite worker there. She is SUPER nice and when I ordered fries she made a personal recommendation and it was like game over. The fries were to die for. Their parking lot is a little tiny but theres parking in residential IF needed. They have a nice high top bar section for you to sit at or a couple tables fit for 2 across. If you're lucky enough then you'll get the two bench tables (good for bigger parties) available facing the register. Music is great and the rest of the staff is friendly too. I am NOT a big fan of boba places, they're just...what's the word? too-Asian for me, a LatinAsian. But as recommended (on separate occasions) by several friends who are also healthcare professionals: which means major caffeine requirements to get through testy patients, I finally went to Ozero on Valley Blvd on a Friday, they opened 11am. The tea-barista or whatever they call them, was very nice, she even helped me before they officially opened which helped me get to work on time (and slightly -read, slightly- over the speed limit on the 710) "Wintermelon Green Tea with Grass Jelly" one size, Large - I would've never ordered anything with that name, the only thing I was familiar with from that title were the "quotes"....til now. BUT I was told to get it just like that (and I threw in the '1/4-less-sweet' btw, so proud) ---sigh, to my painful demise--- It was freaking DELICIOUS. Just rightly sweet, not watery, grass jelly was soooo soft it was a blob of solid until it travels up the straw, breaking down into pieces a baby can't ever choke on i.e. perfect texture. Refreshing yes. Had the whole large drink, and somehow, still could've had more. Rarity. GET IT. I am officially 0.1% more Asian now, and I can't deny it. It even takes the spot above my beloved Venezuelan Papelón con limón....gasppp. That drink helped me survive many hours of counseling and pt complaints. Pat on the shoulder. A friend of hers recommended this place and seeing that it was walking distance from the restaurant we were at, we knew we had to check it out. One of the workers was extremely sweet. I didn't pay for my drinks since someone surprised me for my birthday, but in one of the cups, there was hair sealed into it. I didn't want to risk anything so I threw away the cup. I got the (deep breath) "creme oolong tea latte with roasted bamboo salt" (phew!) and it was very tasty. The beef noodle soup was good, not great, but spicy. Free wifi, hooray! I've been coming by this place off and on for the past five years because I live an hour away. I love that they have games there you can play with if you come with a group. There are two wooden tables group groups of 4-6 and three tables inside and out for two. They also have outlets in between the wooden tables. Their drinks are good and what you'd normally find at a boba joint. I always go for their milk tea, but I've tried other drinks such as their fruity cup (mix of different fruits cut into tiny pieces) and grapefruit tea. I occassionally order their popcorn chicken, and I almost always have to wait 15-20 minutes for it. I think it was longer than 20 minutes this past weekend. The chicken was good and the outer skin was crispy, and I can't remember if it is supposed to be this way, but it also tasted a bit doughy? Maybe that is why it took longer-- to make sure that the inside was well-cooked while the outside remained nice and crispy. What a tasteful variant to the standard black milk tea. No wonder it's their most popular option. Spot on milk:tea ratio and the boba was JUST RIGHT*. They even upgraded my cup to a nicer, stirdy plastic cup with a lid for free (not your typical disposable cup with plastic film that you usually pop). The more LA bubble tea shops I visit, the more I notice their attention to detail and quality, down to their cups even. Conveniently located, at a street corner, was empty when I visited in the am during a weekday, and even had a small parking lot in the back. * Well-timed cooking of boba. I thought that was the registered name and the Ozero was just a DBA, but surely, they changed the place to Twinkle Brown Sugar. Never liked the old name. The only thing I always get is their brown sugar milk tea with boba and pudding! Nowhere else can make brown sugar milk tea the way they do. The taste of their brown sugar is so good and distinguishable, if that makes sense The only downside is they only have one cup size and it's pretty big. So on the time when I'm too full to finish the whole cup, I ended up sharing it with my boyfriend and he doesn't get pudding.
