It was refreshing, sweet without being overpowering, and the perfect dessert after the meal I'd had beforehand. The shop itself was clean and spacious, with plenty of seating to relax, enjoy your drink, and catch up with friends. The service is a little hard to judge since ordering is done through a kiosk and the staff simply call your name when your drink is ready. One of the more popular boba spots in SGV and for decent reason. Personally, this place is pretty hit or miss. Sometimes good service but never great and sometimes just not a care in the world by the staff. My partner and I visited for a group hangout with some friends and our drinks were ready pretty quickly. However, the staff just stood around chatting and didn't call out that the drinks were ready. So our drinks were just sitting around for more than 10 minutes just idle. Not a great look overall. Drinks wise, they're pretty decent. Depending on what you order, it can be cheaper than your usual boba prices these days which is nice. The menu is pretty extensive which is nice, plenty of options but my favorite is definitely the roaster oolong milk tea. Occasionally would get the ice cream milk tea but even with adjustments, it's still very sweet. This spot is however a decent spot for hanging out, plenty of tables that can seat groups, very modern style and clean overall. Free WiFi as well for people that come in with devices. Haven't had the chance to try their food but the pictures of their waffles etc look decent, which I'd try next time if I get a chance. Overall, a ok spot for service, drinks are hit or miss, decent spot to hangout with friends I'd say as it's clean and spacious. We stopped at Daiso first, then searched the shopping plaza for Wushiland. It's not easily seen from the street or parking lot, so it's not the best location, in my opinion, but that doesn't impact my drink review. I was eager to try it, as I remembered this brand from China. You can order at a kiosk or the counter. They have a student promotion, Buy 2 Get 1 Free, in the afternoon from 4 PM, I believe. The shop seemed popular with students, who were studying with their laptops. The Boba Milk Tea was $5.04 plus $0.80 for boba, totaling $6.04, which is a reasonable price. To me, wushiland never fails. it's one of the most consistent boba tea shops around the 626. You can definitely argue there are better spots, but i just really enjoy the roasted oolong and boba here. What's also a plus, is that they have an app! you can accrue points and get 3$ off a drink. how is that not a steal??? The price seems to be a smidge cheaper compared to the other milk tea chains in the area ($5.5-$6) but the quality is so-so. S tried their brown sugar milk tea, and I tried their jasmine milk tea. I ordered from the kiosk and it was pretty uneventful. I think they are going to struggle for a bit business-wise when Cha:Redefine opens in the same plaza. For a few bucks more, the drink quality at Cha:Redefine is superb. Then again, it is the SGV where you throw a rock and you'll hit a milk tea place and somehow they all survive! Parking: super easy right now in the Focus Plaza/Tawa Gateway. It seems like the new owners got rid of all the mom-n-pop restaurants in the plaza and are re-populating it with chains. Wow, my experience today has led me to not want to return. We came during the afternoon, when there was a line for the ordering machine... which was ok-- took maybe 10 minutes to get through. It looked like they actually started on the drinks soon after, but while people kept cranking out the drinks, nobody was calling them out so two full counters of finished beverages sat there. People started encroaching the counter to inquire, even people who ordered after us, and they most definitely gave one of our drinks to the wrong person (it was a very unique drink and I saw when they made it around the same time as our other drinks), again who ordered after us. Upon realizing this on their end, no apology or acknowledgment at all, someone made the drink again but took their sweet time and didn't call out orders again for quite some time and this whole time barely anyone at the counter to inquire. It was a half hour wait for boba. This isn't Molly Tea, or similar caliber place and not nearly as busy as those places get. There were at least 4 people working. Stopped by the Wushiland Boba at the Tawa Marketplace Plaza in San Gabriel (right next to Marugame Udon) and had a great experience. I tried the Yakult Grapefruit drink and the Ice Cream Oolong Milk Tea -- both were excellent. The Yakult Grapefruit was refreshing, tangy, and not overly sweet, while the Ice Cream Oolong had a rich, smooth flavor that hit perfectly with the creamy finish. I also like that Wushiland has a membership app with perks, which makes it worth coming back regularly. I always get their ice cream milk tea with tiny boba! It's my go to drink and I love the creamy texture and flavor of their milk tea! I get it at 100% sweetness but if you don't like sweet then I recommend going less sweet! They are super generous with the toppings! My cup is filled almost 1/3 with tiny boba so if you don't like much toppings, ask for less! Service is fairly quick depending on how busy they are but the employees are always very nice! The Alhambra location was much better sadly. The grass jelly was slightly different than I recall. I know wushiland has a much softer version but maybe I got like all the top stringy layer or something.. I guess you can't order via QR code anymore so I ordered via the kiosk instead. They were running a BOGO promo for taro drinks so I picked up a few along with my usual GT Latte with grass jelly. The taro is real taro however, they mash it to the point where your drink when mixed has a grainy mouth feel. It's somewhat expected for any kind of mashed spud, but I actually like taro pieces from Phoenix but didn't really care for wushiland version. The taste was night, sweet but true to taro. This location gets crazy busy with all the younger audience using it as a hang out spot. There are also A LOT of smokers out in the quad, and when the door is open, the smoke fumes do linger inside. WushiLand Boba is the American version of Taiwan's 50 "Lan". I'm a big fan of 50 Lan in Taiwan, so I was excited to try it here. It has plenty of tables inside, and a clean look. However, there is only one ordering tablet, and no one to help take any orders. When you do finally get to order, there are quite a bit of customizations, including more or less toppings, which is nice! They do add a lot of toppings, so I'd opt for no toppings or less toppings. So I had an IG suggestion pushed to me about this place so I had to check it out. of course, lately it's been in the 80's so I had to check this place out. I went in to order their specialty drink: Mango Ice Cream Black Tea As I didn't have any expectations when going in, I was definitely surprised by the freshness and taste! When I walked in, the cashiers were super nice and greeted me upon arrival. While driving there, I had noticed a sign for Wushiland opening a couple of blocks prior to arriving and they addressed this on their own which is great! It's a cute spot to go to, however, as someone else mentioned, the parking area is huge so you have to walk around or look for people who have a boba drink in their hand to walk towards the direction. First thing I noticed when I walked in was the Ambiance. It is very organized and very family friendly. Love studying here. The environment is safe and they offer lots of good drinks. Service is very fast, probably the fastest I have experienced. Wushiland Boba has been appearing all over southern California. An originally Taiwanese chain, they claim to be the best from Taiwan, but I don't agree. This location is in Focus plaza, within walking distance from 99 Ranch, Daiso, Five Star Seafood Restaurant. There are major renovations and a lot of the neighboring businesses were closed, so we came here almost since they were the only one left within walking distance. There is a lot of seating if you want to come here and hang out with friends. My boyfriend had a Red Bean Milk Tea ($5.74) and I had a Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with boba ($5.74) half sweetened. They made the drinks rather quickly and they were prepared quickly since we came in the middle of the day on a weekday. I also wonder if my boba was less fresh since it was slow times. My Roasted Oolong Milk Tea was average and the 50% sweetness was perfect but my boba was overly chewy and I ended up drinking the drink and throwing away the boba. Based on my experience I'm not excited to come back to Wushiland. It's not bad and it's fairly affordable, but if I'm going to indulge in sugar, I need it to be worthy. read more

Whenever I need my boba fix, Wushiland never disappoints. I've been going to the San Gabriel location for years and have never had any issues. Service is always fast, parking is easy, environment is nice, and they have lots of seating so you can do some work while sipping on your drink. My typical order is a Jasmine Green Milk Tea with Boba (I know, basic). If you like creamy drinks and earl grey, get the ice cream earl grey milk tea!!! SO GOOD with just the right amount of sweetness.
