I really enjoyed my brown sugar grass jelly tea! Refreshing and wasn't too sweet although I didn't ask for a sugar reduction. For the price paid vs the massive amounts of boba places to choose from nearby, twinkle is really not worth it IMO. Got the jasmine green milk tea with boba. Drink is really just mediocre. I looked at my previous review before typing up this new one and noticed that I previously mentioned that they had honey boba. Where did that go? The boba I had was tasteless. There was a nice chewy consistency to it though. Jasmine green milk tea is more on the milky side, less tea taste and sugar was almost non existent. Boba is delicious! Nice and chewy.. just like boba should be. I used to come here when it was called Ozero. My favorite drink was the Hawaiian sunset which was a tea Infused with pineapple juice with a bunch of fruit bits inside. They still have that drink however it's not called Hawaiian sunset.. I actually forgot the new name for it. Their cups are precious and reusable!! Love it! Staff is nice and quick. I got my drink in less than 5 mins after I ordered it. Drinks: I really like their rose milk tea. It has just the right amount of sweetness without the overbearing rose flavor..i can't get enough! Their boba is pretty good as well..it was chewy yet kinda soft and quite sweet..not like the bland ones at other bob a places. Dessert: I had their hot grass jelly dessert and it was delish! It comes with hot grass jelly (obviously ;), red beans, taro, and boba. it was sweet so you might have to ask for some hot water..but still good nonetheless. Food: The only food i've tasted is their wonton soup..The broth had no flavor but the wontons did..which is strange..but in the end, i finished all the wontons with a smile on my face :] I wanted to try their fried platter which you can choose from 5 of their fried snack choices for about $7.50..i think..but i ended up not getting it..maybe next time. Prices: The drinks range from $3.90-$5.00 ish..depending on your add-ins but its a pretty reasonable price since the drink cups equate to almost two regular size cups. The wontons i ate were on a special menu so it was only $4.99. Service: The workers there are usually behind the counter, only seen walking around the "floor" when delivering food/drinks or being called for. Sometimes its quite difficult to get their attention when they're consistently talking and laughing with one another (i notice this happens more during the night time). Ambiance: Day time has very few people..it only gets crowded during the night time when students and the like are there to study, so its pretty nice and quite. If you can study with semi loud music on but not much of ongoing conversations, this is the place for you. And oh, they have Wi-Fi..HOWEVER i notice that when there's a lot of ppl there, the wi-fi is pretty slow..like REALLY slow. if management can fix the wifi problem and have the staff be more attentive, then tho place will definitely get 5 stars :) read more

Used to be Ozero, but I believe it's just a name change because I see the same owner and staffs working here. They been going through a lot of changes over the past months such as menu changes, new drinks, food, etc. Inside still look the same with their seats, it can still get cramp here because it seems like a go-to study spot for many people (used to be mine). The drinks here are still good. My parents love their grass jelly drink and they give a lot for a really good price. I normally get the regular drinks like honey green tea or milk tea with boba. Their boba is really soft and chewy. Twinkle brown sugar uses a loyalty reward system I believe belly or 5-Star. They only have 1 restroom, and provides WiFi. It's really small inside, and parking isn't that big. However many people just park at Bank of America when they close (after 6pm). read more

Poor service when ordering food to-go. For instance, when ordering ramen they don't separate the noodles from the soup and put it all in one container. Then when you ask to separate them they take the same soggy noodles that they just dumped into the soup and place it in another container. Overall, you still get the same soggy noodles and they don't fill the soup to the top of the container. So you're not paying for what you're getting. Seriously. It's not hard packing ramen to-go. A quaint little cafe with modern decor and floor to ceiling windows for walls, I almost seem to remember them coming to our table to get our orders. However, this seems unlikely, so I may simply be recalling incorrectly. In any case, I ended up trying the fluffy green tea with dark sugar, for about $5. Good, but, not particularly memorable. While I can't see myself coming out here as an out-of-town visitor, I also wouldn't recommend trekking out here from any distant part of SoCal to try it - if you're in the area though, go for it. read more

Kinda bland/watered down tasting, but for some strange reason, I enjoyed it immensely because it was one of those drizzly days where having a hot drink in your hand makes one feel warm & fuzzy inside. I don't think I got my 10% to go discount last time because this drink only cost about $3.75-ish. Apparently, they have only 1 size for all their drinks - no regular, large, XL, etc... Another nifty thing I learned is that they have a "rewards card" that is electronic: saves paper & i have so many random reward cards that I always forget to bring with me. I'm looking for the perfect brick toast so I came her via yelp. I liked their condensed milk brick toast, simple and delicious. But for the simplicity of it all I could easily make it myself at home... Butter and condensed milk drizzle with some chocolate reminds me of when you're a kid and u made butter-sugar bread in the microwave. Drinks were ok, I had the green milk tea with boba and pudding. Located in between Monterey Park and Alhambra, this small boba shop ranks highest in my books for taste, price and overall experience in the SGV. Although it's located in a place where you normally wouldn't find a boba shop, OZERO offers a nice variety of different drinks. One thing I will mention is that the upscale, modern look of the establishment does not fall in line with the shops around it. It's situated next to an abandoned store. My favorite drinks here are the strawberry milk tea and the green milk tea. The price is not too bad ~$4 per drink, which is slightly below Half & Half's prices. What I will highlight is the sturdiness of the cups that drinks come in. The cups are made of harder plastic than other boba places -- which lends to the idea that the drinks are of higher quality. The cups are also reusable. Parking is the greatest. They have a lot adjacent to the entrance with spots for about 8 cars. About 1/2 block east of the shop is neighborhood/residential parking which you can use, and it's relatively convenient. I don't care what anyone says, I love Ozero. This is my favorite place for jasmine green tea with boba. The tea is almost always perfectly sweetened and I can taste a good amount of bitterness from the tea. The boba is sometimes a little too soft for my preference, but generally it's chewy enough and sweet. My boyfriend usually gets the Hawaiian Sunset fruit tea with passionfruit jelly, which is also pretty good if you're craving something fruity. The parking and interior are both pretty cramped, though. There are only a handful of spaces in the tiny parking lot so if there are a lot of people studying or eating then it might be hard to find parking. The inside is super cramped also, making it nearly impossible to walk from one end of the store to the other without almost bumping into someone or a table. It also makes it super awkward when you're waiting for your drinks because there's nowhere to stand and wait. But whatever! I went there last night, night before Thanksgiving, because all the boba shops around the area were closed for the holiday. There weren't a lot of customers when I first arrived but as soon as we sat down the customers began piling in. Environment - Nice and quaint little place. There's a big counter for the workers and to order drinks at. Tables surround the perimeter of the shop with big glass windows to look out onto the streets. Tables kind of too close together, possibly making you feel claustrophobic... but it's all good. Service - During this busy time they had too few workers to accommodate for the amount of customers. They run low on menus so our table only got one, making it difficult to order. We were going to order more but we had to wait for others to finish a menu. Wish they had more people because the customers who came after us didn't receive their drinks until we were done with ours and were ready to leave! :( poor them. Drinks - They nicely shake the drinks.. a lot! So tea is very light. I think you can't really go wrong with anything here. I ordered the green tea w/ boba and pudding. I tasted the Hawaiian and milk tea with jelly. Everything was good and tasted like... how they should be! Haha I felt really healthy drinking these in comparison to other boba places. Oh yeah!! This place is like across the street from the Big Lots plaza. Parking is extremely difficult because there's only a few spots. Boo, but there is street parking-- so YAY TO THAT. Milk tea that have strong favor but the boba seems to have become more clumped together. I really like their toasts because they go all out when you eat it there. Boba is made on a daily basis, with the perfect texture of a premium drink establishment expected in the Asian community. Another plus is that this place a great place for studying, as long as you don't need a power outlet and can find seating (there is only about seven or so tables). That being said, this place has fast, free wifi, well-ventilated, and only requires a minimum purchase person of $3 bucks or so per person (easily met with one drink). I've been here several times years ago, and I've gotta admit it's come a long way. Twinkle Brown Sugar has struck that balance between good prices and quality. Their new menu has a build-it-yourself style now; you choose your choice of milk tea or not, then choose your flavors, and then finish off with toppings. I got a lychee rose green tea with boba with $4 and still got some change back! I originally wanted strawberry rose green tea, but the girl who helped me out was really patient and nice! She suggested that the strawberry might overpower the rose, and recommended lychee rose instead. She also reminded me that there's no additional charge to mix the two flavors. Super helpful; thank you! I got 75% sugar, and it's just right for me. I can distinctly taste both lychee and rose flavors, but it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet or heavy. Boba was also super soft without being mushy. One small gripe is I wish my drink had a slightly stronger tea flavor, but that's just nitpicking. Would definitely come back! read more
