The pancakes are light, fluffy and just straight up tasty! I also ordered the cafe mocha which comes with animal crackers. Make sure you dip them in your coffee. It's a nice treat before your meal. Service: It gets busy during the brunch hour, so order coffee to hold yourself over until your food arrives. Ambiance: We decided to sit outside on a breezy day. Tried this place out for the first time on a Saturday for a very early dinner. The restaurant is cute and spunky. There is limited outdoor seating if you're interested. The service was good and the food was great. They do not serve alcohol. For appetizers tried the mezze - highly recommend! and the greek spinach quesadilla which was average. We shared the main - Mediterranean lamb burger. This was spot on, and the side of fries was excellent. Would highly recommend. Although the food was fantastic, I was disappointed by some of their practices: - on the drinks menu it says "Fresh orange juice". when we asked it was all bottled. - our server brought out the bill before we were done with our meal (did not ask if we would like dessert) - on the menu at the bottom it says 20% gratuity is added to tables of 5 or more. We were two people, and our bill had 20% added. We flagged this up and they said it gets automatically added but offered to take it off - if you are using the QR code to pay it asks if you want to add gratuity to the TOTAL bill which already had the 20% gratuity added to it which I thought was pretty sneaky. Came here on a recent early Sunday for brunch. Had the pancakes and ham. Had a craving for scrambling eggs but, sadly they don't do ala carte eggs. Egg prices have gone back down. It's ok. Lol! So all in all I would probably rate this 3.5 not a 3(come on Yelp.. allow the half ratings already!) We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The menu to its credit very varied, and had options for vegetarians. My boyfriend got the Mediterranean fritata, and I got the Chesapeake Benedict. The frittata was...odd. In my experience the fritata has the vegetables inside the egg mixture/omelet, as opposed to having the vegetables just lumped onto it as though pizza toppings. Also was missing any toast. Came with 4 pieces of potatoes, not exactly home fries. My Benedict was fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad either. I was given a gift card from a relative so decided to check Twist out for lunch. We got the mezze appetizer, steak frites, and the rack of lamb entree. I started off with a hot chocolate that was delicious and came with a couple of animal crackers as a nice touch. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium, though there were a lot of fat caps that I cut off and did not eat. The bernaise sauce that came with the steak frites was delicious to dip the fries in. The vibe is interesting- Mediterranean, European, and American decor all rolled into one seating area. Service was impersonal but fast. We had a reservation for Sunday brunch. The biggest advice that I can share is this place is BYOB. If you are like me, brunch=mimosas. Don't show up ready to order glasses of mimosas cause baybee..... they ain't got it (see Things to Note section below). I ordered The Twist Royal which included two scrambled egg whites, ham, a pancake, hashbrowns, toast, and a pitcher of pineapple juice. Things to Note: * This restaurant is in the middle of Fells Point. Parking is tough; ensure that you arrive earlier than your reservation to ensure time for parking. * This place is BYOB. If you neglect to bring your libations, don't be discouraged. There is a liquor store within a 2 block walk. Twist was gracious enough to hold our table while we walked to the store to purchase champagne. It was a quick turnaround back to the restaurant. * For a fee, Twist will provide the juice to compliment your adult beverage of choice e.g. pineapple, orange, etc. Pros: * When we returned with our bottle of champagne, our serve provided us with a wine chiller bucket with ice and two champagne glasses. * Our server was everything and more. He was able to provide excellent and unbiased recommendations. * When my food arrived I was a bit disappointed that they gave me one pancake. Lol. Once we sat down we were immediately given water and then our waiter disappeared. So first of all, delicious food! Attentive service! And I never really rate lemonades, but their lemonade was so fresh and delicious! You can definitely tell the food is made with fresh quality ingredients. I recommend the calamari as a starter - it was lightly breaded, perfectly cooked and tender! I ordered the rack of lamb and my date had the barrel cut beef! I found both delicious and beautifully plated! I have received less lamb when ordering the "rack" at other restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a significant portion of well cooked lamb! The restaurant is cutely nestled in fells point and I almost walked right past it but there is a lot more space than it gives off once you enter. I still recommend reservations if you want a guaranteed seat as we went during brunch and there may be busier hours. The only con was the BYOB clause. We assumed there was liquor served as the menu mentions 'dinner and drinks'. If we knew it was BYOB we would've came prepared. But that is also a pro one you're aware that you can bring any liquor of choice and enjoy. We saw a table having bottomless mimosas and another doing shots of tequila! We last visited during COVID and were delighted to find it was BYOB. We had a special expensive bottle of wine for a "special occasion" and they were very accommodating. They gave us a decanter so we could let the wine breathe. The Mesa appetizer and Branzino were fabulous. My daughter's scallops were delicious and the Sicilian Almond cake was a new treat for us. The server asked whether I wanted wings or tenders, which confused me as the menu stated drumsticks and thigh, but I thought that maybe it was in addition to what was stated on the menu? I would have expected elevated chicken tenders for a $16 dish if that was all I was getting. The Parisian Almond Croissant French Toast was a good concept and would have been delicious but the croissants tasted a bit old, and the Chesapeake Eggs Benedict only had a tiny bit of crab meat. Of note, they add on a "service charge" on the bill. I almost added a tip on top not realizing it, but when I caught it I asked the server who stated that the service charge is the tip. read more

Twist is a must try. Went here to catch up with family and tried it on a whim. Best decision I could've made. Inside is fabulously decorated with eclectic art and decor. The brunch and lunch/dinner menu is EXTENSIVE... in the best way possible. I need to come back as soon as possible because everything on the menu looked mouthwatering. My table started with the Twist Cobb salad and Greek Salad. The Cobb salad was a deconstructed style, which was fine because it was easy to share. All of our entrees were incredible. The star of the show was easily the Chicken and Waffle as the chicken was so crispy and well seasoned. The two sandwiches we got were also delicious, I'll be forever dreaming of the Mediterranean Chicken Panini. The omelet was also a solid dish. You can tell by the presentation and taste of the food, how much effort the staff puts into the cooking and experience. I will be coming here again in the near future to try all new things!
