They also falsely claimed my order was prioritized after I raised concerns, which is not true, as it was clear the staff had forgotten about it entirely until I asked a second time. Moreover, the tone of their reply is dismissive and accusatory, implying that I lacked "understanding" for the situation. This shows a complete disregard for customer accountability and a troubling lack of professionalism. My experience and the response from this establishment leave me even more disappointed. I would not suggest dining here. Genuinely terrible service. I am so upset. I went with three people and one of us got a chicken sandwich. Two of us got our food but the one who got the chicken didn't. We waited and didn't eat much for 30 whole minutes. I even asked one of the staff after 20 minutes and she said they're waiting for the chicken. But I saw nobody doing anything in the kitchen. I waited 20 more minutes for a total of 40 minutes and I asked them AGAIN. This time I asked everyone in front. And everyone acted confused and forgot about the the order. This place is bomb! Their meat is so fresh and tasty. I'm not always a fan of shawarma style meat, but their Halal chicken is so delicious. And if you get the Halal chicken salad with all the veggies, feta cheese, and their spicy sauce, not only can you get two meals out of it, but it's low carb/keto friendly. These guys have definitely managed to bring a piece of Germany to Cali. Their food is absolutely delicious and their staff is so friendly! Make sure to try out all their sauces. Overall, the food is fresh & tasty. That said, it's not very well managed. My daughter and I met. for lunch. I had a sandwich. The bread was pleasantly thin & crunchy, My daughter ordered a box. Apparently they ran out of rice (12;15PM), so the manager came over and said they'd make a salad and have rice in 10 minutes..Fine. Half an hour later with no rice, my daughter told them never mind.They gave her $3 (on a $20 meal) and a half-assed apology. Had I spoken with them, I'd have told them to keep the 3 bucks. What is Twisted Meats, you ask? It's a welcome addition to the strip mall located on North Ventu Park Rd at the corner of West Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks! I decided to check out this casual dining spot early this evening, and encourage you to do so for a healthier alternative to 'fast food' takeout or dine-in! Walking into this small, simply decorated shop, I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming face behind the counter, who I later learned, when he came out to check on our table, was that of co-owner Ruben, originally from Germany. He is proud of this new venture with his brother Lars, with its German-Mediterranean inspired Doner, and maintains an exceptionally clean and spotless place. I loved my Doner Rice Box with Beef and Lamb, which was covered by the traditional/'original' creamy garlicky sauce with an add-on of feta cheese. The generous serving included onions, cucumbers, tomatoes. red cabbage and lettuce over the bed of rice. It was filling and I brought about one third of it home to enjoy later My friend ordered the Chicken Doner sandwich with Spicy Sauce and devoured it, proclaiming that the bread was 'fantastic' and that he couldn't wait to come back.
