Very good spot. Enjoyed the atmosphere, coffee and food. Well made "American Style Omlette". For those who aren't Omlette fans there are two types: traditional French Style that is thin and has two folds that meet up in the middle AND the American Style that is thick and folds over once. The American Style is what most in this area are used to. And is usually the one that I DON'T like. Can be clunky, over cooked, dry. This one at Two Birds was not. It was great and I actually enjoyed it. Only detraction of this place was some of the potatoes in the hash browns were undercooked but oh well, didn't take away from the overall appeal. read more

I have been going here for a long time and recently had a very upsetting experience that will prevent me from returning. Read on. I arrived on a Sunday morning in November and had a 45 minute wait. We got seated at the community table and ordered iced coffees, granola bowl to share, one meal each, and sticky buns to go. An hour into our time there we had just finished our meal. We were enjoying catching up as we had not seen each other in quite some time. One hour and 15 minutes in, as I was finishing my coffee, I could tell our waitress (don't remember her name, young Hispanic girl) said "it's time to leave, you've been sitting long enough". WOW. I felt awful. One hour and 15 minutes in, a 45 minute wait, $67 on breakfast plus a 25% tip, and I was asked to leave. I've gone to two birds for many years and never was I treated so poorly. Others at the community table- who were also regulars- were very surprised. We are local professionals and have been excellent customers who will no longer return out of fear that this will happen to us again. My favorite place turned into a place where I was embarrassed in front of my guest (it was her first time) and others at the community table. read more

What a really nice breakfast. The interior is woodsy polished yet rustic. The service is solid and the food is great. We had an avocado toast with an egg and a pork roll egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Tried the crumb cake but it was more of a short bread. Nice lunch menu at reasonable prices. Wonderfully charming spot for breakfast and lunch! One of those places where you want to order everything on the menu and the most difficult part was picking what to eat. It's very clear that freshness of the ingredients is the main priority of Two Birds. Small details, like the thoughtfulness of portion sizes and the beautiful decor, really make this a 5-star spot in the Downingtown/West Chester area. I usually judge a breakfast place based on the quality and execution of their hollandaise sauce, and this place was great. Light, but decadent and smooth and the same time. I also stole a bite of the house-made brisket omelette and would definitely get that next time I come in. Also, the cinnamon buns and crumb cake are an absolute must! Especially the crumb cake! Lastly, service was great and friendly. While they were still working out some kinks from being newly opened, my coffee cup never went empty and they were fantastic at accommodating our party of 9 with two infants. I had heard of Two Birds before from friends that live in Chesco before but I made it a point to come and try when it was on the Yelp list that was released at the start of 2023. Based on the reviews about how busy it gets, I came here right as it opened and it was already getting crowded. We got a table right away. The restaurant has a really cozy feel, but also feels like a hip, renovated rustic home. My dad got the French toast with a side of scrapple. The bread was thick cut and he said was delicious. I love love love Benedicts so i had to pick from one of the unique sounding options. I ordered the brisket Benedict and it was delicious. The brisket was cooked better and was more tender than some I've had at dinner restaurants. The brisket was placed over biscuits and the whole thing worked beautifully. The dish came with a side of homemade hash, which was potatoes and peppers. As we were leaving, there was a large crowd waiting to be seated, so definitely get there early! No reservations or call ahead, at least on the weekend. I really enjoyed my meal there. read more

Went here today with my elder daughter. Yummy as usual. It's a VERY popular "local place" (closed on Tuesdays!) for a delicious breakfast. I haven't tried the lunches yet but my daughter has and gave it two thumbs up. Parking is often over-flowing onto the street. Recommend you get there early on weekends as they do NOT take reservations. Today I had their "classic" eggs Benedict which were cooked "just right" so the yolks were still runny, not solid. Ordered bacon on the side and it was delicious. Crisp and flavorful. The meal came with their own version of breakfast potatoes which are skillet cooked cubes, mixed with some chopped onion and red bell pepper slices. They were very crowded, as usual, but our meals came without too much wait. It was worth it. They also sell homemade pastries at the check-in area. Some are BIG!! The decor is rustic and appealing, including interesting lighting and ceiling fans. I believe these were left over when the short-lived prior unrelated restaurant, "The Perch" was in the same location for a few months. Nice that the new owners kept the "bird theme" going inside and the almost brand new decor. Smart move! Best of luck to the very nice new owners! We'll be back! read more

I've been thinking about trying this breakfast/lunch place Two Birds Cafe since they opened in 2019. I finally got to take my family today for brunch. All I can say is WOW, just WOW !! The four of us split a slice of Crumb lovers cake and a cinnamon bun to start our meal. They were both super fresh and delicious. Best cinnamon bun I've ever had !! Not overpowering cinnamon (like most ) and the Icing wasn't too sweet either. AMAZING !!! The Crumb Lovers Cake was served warm which gave it that "just out of the oven" vibe. Very nice touch ! 3 of us got the Classic Eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached, hollandaise was exceptional with a velvety consistency and lemony zing. So good, I asked for extra !! I noticed that The "Canadian Bacon" was smokey and way better than average. I asked about the brand, they told me and I can't remember. But it really elevated the entire dish. My wife got the Brisket Omelet which was beautifully cooked and loaded with shredded, super flavorful Brisket . All of our platters came with potatoes that were enhanced with fresh herbs and perfectly seasoned. I forgot to ask what brand coffee they use, but it was noticeably fresh and hot. Can't wait to go back and try the French Toast, Pancakes and the entire lunch menu. Everything was Eggsceptional not even eggsagerating Last but not least, the entire staff was friendly and efficient. So glad to support this local family's small business. Two Birds Cafe is one of the best cafes I have ever been to. The food was amazing. I ordered the French toast and it tasted fresh and delicious. The service was great. The server we had was kind and caring. I saw that Zavala D. Left a 1-star review. He states that the food tasted old and the service was horrible. Neither of those statements are factual. The food tasted fresh and the service as I said before was great. He mentioned that he had to wait for food. Zavala must be lying or just really impatient. We had to wait for 20 minutes at most to get out food and it looked like everyone else had a similar wait time. Overall two birds was a great restaurant and I highly recommend. read more
