The one-star review (and I wish I could give zero stars) is not about the quality of the food but about the waitress/host, whose actions made no sense. My wife and I walked in when there was no line, and several tables were clearly available. However, we were told there would be a 30-40 minute wait. When I asked about the empty tables, she claimed they were reserved. About ten minutes later, three women walked in, got impatient, and were about to leave. The waitress chased after them and seated them immediately. My wife approached her and pointed out that we had been waiting for ten minutes and arrived before those ladies. The waitress responded that the tables were meant for groups of three. Yet, I noticed one of those tables remained empty after seating the ladies, and another two empty tables had been pushed together for a group of four. Let me emphasize--there was no line. We were the only ones there, and the waitress still decided to make us wait for 30 minutes. What would have happened if no one else came in to fill those "reserved" tables? It would've wasted our time. Since it was raining and miserable outside, we decided not to let her poor judgment waste any more of our time and took our business elsewhere. Maybe it's no big deal to the waitress that we walked out, but if enough customers leave (at $20-$30 per person), it'll eventually hurt the owner. For the record, the couple behind us also walked out immediately after hearing about the 30-40 minute wait. Good luck to the owner who has to pay the rent in Tribeca!!!! read more

All I can say is oh my god. I've never been impressed by brunch before. Brunch is usually just eggs, toast, some variation of pancake batter, and a cute drink or two. It's never seemed worth it to me but Two Hands is phenomenal!! I've been to both the Tribeca and Soho Locations and they're always booked and out of reservations, which makes sense!! The miso brownie is one of the best brownies I've ever had. Not too chocolatey, but the perfect amount of sweetness. The breakfast burrito is hands down my absolute favorite. The mushroom give a great texture and the flavors combine very well. The waffles are delicious, a flavor combo I never knew I needed. The food is overall a great hit for me and 3 of my other friends I've taken on separate occasions. The ambiance isn't anything crazy. Simple and clean. Overall, very impressed with this brunch spot. This is walking distance from us so very convenient to come for breakfast/brunch. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated right away for a party of 4. I got their iced vanilla latte to start and the açaí bowl for my entree. The açaí base was really good and I liked the granola and fruit toppings. I came to Two Hands on Presidents Day for brunch. It was super packed when we came in and we had to wait a couple minutes to grab our table. I have eaten in most Two Hands around the country. I have eaten in thousands of NYC restaurants. I have never experienced a host as rude, incompetent and umemphatetic as Crystal. One of the nice males hosts told us we could eat our takeout order in an open table quickly. Crystal saw us, rolled her eyes and sneered. This was a staff miscommunication -- she clearly is an incapable manner. Instead of fixing it in a kind and reasonable manager, she waved her hand at us and asked us to leave the table without any explanation or apology. She even told us that nice male host who offered us a table was slow (she gestured a hand signal demeaning him -- alluding that he was scatterbrained). How unprofessional is it to say this about your coworker to a client? I won't be surprised if all the wonderful staff in this location absolutely hate her. All the other servers and staff in this location are wonderful, kind and competent people. She is the only one causing customer experience to decline because of her lack of manners and professionalism. I hope this restaurant can address the rudeness of Crystal and she learns to treat customers better. read more

I made a dinner reservation for a loved one's birthday. I use a wheelchair and was told that this location was wheelchair accessible. There's even a wheelchair accessibility sign in the window. We arrived to find out that while the main entry door is at ground level, there are several steps to get inside, and no alternate entry. I love this place. I came here for brunch a couple of years ago and came back again this past weekend. Now I don't live too far from it and it is the perfect spot for brunch or coffee dates.
