Pesto Feta Scramble
Alexis B.

Two Hands is a chain of Australian cafe/restaurants with locations in New York, Texas, Colorado, and Tennessee (all your hip cities - Nashville, Austin, etc.). I visited their NoHo location for breakfast last Sunday and really enjoyed my meal. It opens at 8, which I really appreciate because I'm an early riser and sometimes feel like brunch that starts at 11 disrupts my ability to have a full day. They have a single all-day menu. I ordered an americano and their pesto feta scramble (soft-ribboned eggs, mint, green pea salad, white balsamic, feta, and macadamia nut pesto on toasted sourdough). While I found the dish a little difficult to eat (you can't pick up the toast, but the thickness of the slice and the toast on it - while great tasting - made it a little hard to cut), I also thought it was delicious - one of the best breakfast dishes I've had in ages. I added a side of grilled halloumi, which was great, too. The service was great, and the restaurant is bright and happy and cute. They take reservations, too (sometimes places don't for breakfasts). Overall, it was a great spot for breakfast before a day of touristing around NYC. I'd happily return to this or one of their other locations.

Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito and Banana Bread

Two Hands is right near all the soho shopping and has some great brunch options. They have a lot of good vegetarian options like their vegetarian breakfast burrito (which you can add bacon to) and their banana bread is a great thing to share at the table. Service is pretty quick and sometimes they do add a time limit to the table to keep things moving. The inside space is on the small side but still very cute and nice for brunch. Seating is best for 2-4 people but I think they can accommodate larger groups if needed

Lavender Matcha Latte

Two Hands is a great place for brunch. The smoked salmon, fennel & poached egg on sourdough was fantastic and beautifully presented, and the addition of lavender to the matcha latte adds a delicious twist to an already great staple. The hummus with the kale salad was another standout. Reservations are a must - the place was packed until afternoon on a Sunday, which also leads to it being rather loud, but the friendly service makes up for that.

I thoroughly enjoyed this meal. We ordered the smoked salmon toast, lemon poppyseed waffle and salmon quinoa bowl. I really enjoyed my salmon toast. The herb cream cheese was the perfect savory to be added with the lox and pickled zucchini (which is different). The lemon poppyseed waffle was also super special with the mascarpone cream and strawberries. I could have ordered another one since we split it! My friend loved her salmon bowl and thought it was quite tasty. I'd absolutely be back and would want to try other items on the menu! We love Australian brunch.

Amazing place! I have visited Two hands every time in in NYC, no matter the occasion of travel, work of leisure. Their iced coffee is so good and their brekky even better! I love their avocado toasts, so delicious. Staff is always friendly, though at times the wait is long as this place popular we don't mind the wait since we like it. Sometimes it can get crowded but overall its always a nice experience.

Miso mushroom bowl with salmon added

Came around 9:30a on Saturday, it's pretty empty. You definitely don't need a reservation if you come that early. Yummy healthy food, love the crunchy quinoa, flavorful mushrooms, and the added kimchi/chili oil. Minus 1 star since the drip coffee came in such a small size! Each refill also costs $1. The table base can use a little cleaning, they're sticky and my shoes kept getting stuck to it.

Smashed Avo Toast

Easy, fresh, delicious brunch. Service was quick and super friendly so it was a really nice time. This avocado toast HIT THE SPOT with the fresh avo, some acidity and these yummy peppers.

Chai. Good. Overpriced
Shemesh Y.

Very good casual food. Also reasonably priced. We had a fancy chai (this is the only over-priced item), the chicken bowl (good portion, filling, flavorful, seemed healthy), and some breakfast dish that its name I ccan't emember (but was good) :) They did charge us for a piece of bread requested for the breakfast item. That was annoying. Oh well.

Breakfast Burrito

Solid! Nothing spectacular but definitely would return for consistent, enjoyable, and healthy options. Feels like exactly what you'd expect from an Australian brunch spot in NYC, both in food and in vibes. I always get a breakfast burrito and a flat white at Aussie brunch and I'd order this combo again next time.

Every now and then I stumble on a brunch place that I know will become a staple. Two hands is exactly that sort of place. I can't believe I didn't stop by earlier even though it has been on my list to try. This location is small. There is some seating inside, plus there is a covered eating area outside plus some seats on the sidewalk. I happened to come by relatively early so we were seated immediately. The service was excellent and the recommendations were on-point. Here is what we ordered: - coffee with brown sugar cinnamon syrup. It was delicious 5/5 - breakfast burrito- this was really good and the dipping sauce on the side is excellent 5/5 - seasonal scramble- it was sooooo good!! It has fresh peas and feta and lemon 5/5 - banana walnut bread- it was so good, especially with the espresso mascarpone on top 5/5 - lemon poppyseed waffle- as someone who is normally not a fan of lemon desserts or poppyseed, I am surprised I liked this so much 5/5 I don't recall giving a 5/5 to every food I had- so this place definitely stands out.

Was supposed to go with a friend on a Sunday morning but she had to cancel last minute so I went by myself instead. They were super accommodating about the reservation, and I noticed a couple of other people eating alone as well! The mood was very lively. It was a little cramped but not too bad. Food was good - very standard burrito and banana bread. Didn't feel like the banana bread was super life changing but good nonetheless. Would come back to try the drinks next time

Lemon Poppyseed Waffle

Got a lavender latte and lemon poppyseed waffles! Super yummy. Great vibes. Would recommend for a nice lunch

Strawberry Rose Matcha Latte

i usually force myself to drink matcha because of the benefits, but I genuinely enjoyed this one. Amyar provided great service and helped with my selection. The open kitchen was a great experience too- I am satisfied ‍

We got the Banter Bowl, which includes pickled carrot, cabbage, watermelon radish, cucumber, edamame, avocado, quinoa, and miso ponzu dressing. You have a choice of meats, so we chose the grilled chicken. Second, we ordered the falafel bowl that includes three falafels, pickled onions, avocado, cucumber, whipped garlic feta, kale salad, romesco, and Za'atar dressing that had a delicious flavor. However, our ultimate favorite had to be the Thai Crunch Wrap with sweet potato fries. It was fairly busy, and our drinks took a while to come, but the food arrived shortly after. The next time I'm back, I will be sure to reorder the Thai crunch wrap. If you have food allergies, they are extremely accommodating and have numerous vegan/vegetarian/GF.

Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. I ordered the market salad with mixed greens, honeycrisp apples, goat cheese, candied pecans, and sherry vinaigrette. It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.
