We had TMAAMV come to move us out of our house and into their storage. The price was fair and in line with other quotes. Leading up to the move, they were super communicative through both text and email, letting me know exactly when they'd arrive. Day of, Hector gave me a quick text letting me know exactly when to expect him. The crew of three was fast, but paid special attention to protecting the furniture. I got a full service move from Two Men and a Moving Van about 2 weeks ago, and it was one of the best moving experiences I've had (and I've been professionally moved before). First, I was able to complete all of the pre-booking stuff online. I got a quote, arranged times for moving and confirmed the appointment all through their web portal. I'm still astounded at the number of moving companies that want to call you multiple times a day to conduct business, but Two Men made it really easy to arrange. I opted for full-service moving - so packing and moving my belongings locally (less than 2 miles). I bought my own moving supplies from UHaul. Jamel and his crew of two others called me before they arrived to let me know they were on their way within the hour. When they arrived, they got right to work. I previously lived in a medium-sized 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo (just under 1500 sq ft). My husband and I are nerds, so we have lots of electronics - TVs, consoles, breakable stuff. Jamel and his team packed FAST while being very careful. They wrapped anything remotely breakable in lots of bubble wrap and paper. They laid moving blankets everywhere so they didn't ding or scratch anything, and they were done in *three hours*. They told me they wanted to get it done quickly so they could save me some money, which I always appreciate! We moved into a townhouse that was slightly bigger than the old space but has stupid windy staircases; they moved everything with such care and concern. Same careful prep with blankets everywhere and careful maneuvering. Not a *SINGLE* thing was broken or even scratched or scuffed! They even got this giant heavy chest up the stairs when I was afraid it wouldn't fit. Having moved many times, they were also able to give me lots of good advice about the place - like warning me that the wood floors in the new place would scratch easily and that I'd need to put furniture pads on the bottoms of my chairs to avoid scratching. (He was right - that very night I accidentally moved a chair before I got the chance to put the pad on and made a very faint, very light scratch in the floor.) We bought them pizza and water and Gatorade for lunch, but they were so polite and ethical that even though we urged them to take a 20-30 minute break to eat, they wolfed the food down in 10 minutes so they could keep working and finish. So, so happy with my move and I would use Two Men and a Moving Van again in a heartbeat! read more

Hired 2Men+Van for a semi-local move for 2br apartment. Received verbal quote, followed up with written. Lots of follow up communication as moving date approached. Three movers and big truck arrived on time. They looked over the situation, talked to me, started the clock. They got to work quickly and efficiently, including doing a great job of protecting everything well. I was especially impressed in how quickly they unloaded and moved everything into 3-story townhome on the other end. I've unpacked everything and haven't found a bit of damage. I've had both good and bad experiences with movers, but can honestly say that I've not had any better than this latest move. Two Men And A Moving Van did an outstanding job of a very challenging move of our 4 bedroom home to eastern Washington. The office staff Elaina, Paul and Ella were very good with explaining and planning the move. The three movers especially David and Al worked their butts off packing and loading everything and then driving from Kenmore WA to Wenatchee WA. (S 3 hour drive). David and Al unloaded the 26 ft. van and had to drive back to Auburn. David later said he didn't get home till 5:00 am the following day. We had so much stuff, they couldn't load everything in the 26 ft van (which is the largest van available) on the first trip. I was very stressed as we HAD to be out of the house. I called around other moving venders and no one was available including U-haul and Penske. I was at a lost and desperate. I received a phone call from Paul who offered to make the second move which fell on a Sunday for a more than reasonable price. Remember, I was desperate! This was a God send! The movers David and Al arrived on Sunday morning with another 26 ft van and load it without fail. Then made the second 3 hour drive and unload it really with no breaks! These two were amazing! I was planning on making it easy for the two to simply unload the van in our condominium garage, but David was insistent on moving up all the heavy furniture up to our 3rd story unit. Thus was very much appreciated as I'm 59 years old and couldn't have done it. All of our big and heavy furniture and TV's were all wrapped up and safely moved. I could not be more thrilled with my decision to hire Two Men and a Van this July. From beginning to end, my experience was outstanding. This transaction was conducted via email at my request. Both Ron and Elena responded fully and promptly to each of my questions. Ron did an online estimate which was slightly high - such a blessing and much preferred to the surprise and drama of an under-estimate! The three employees who did the move worked under unbearable circumstances: the old location was filthy and had steps, the new location had an elevator which the landlord refused to lock down. Two Men and a Moving Van was an okay experience. Received two stars because they were generally very responsive to requests and outreach as well as, I could tell the movers were working hard. However, they were working hard at the expense of efficiency and, when you're paid by the hour, finding the right medium between hard working + fast + careful is an important medium to strike. When moving into my two bedroom apartment in Seattle, I had hired a different mover where they sent 2 people to pack in Bellevue and unload into Seattle. It took them a total of 3 hours to pack, ship, and unload everything into the 2bed apartment. (In case they bring it up: When moving into the apartment, I also did not have an elevator reserved within the building because the building only has 1 elevator so you can't reserve it) Fast forward exactly 1 year. We are preparing to move from Seattle (Central District), to White Center Seattle. We have now gained: 1king frame + Mattress, coffee table, desk in terms of furniture. The initial quote was quoted at about 3-4 hours for the entire body of work (I've attached screenshots of both my inventory list + my estimated quote). In all fairness, they do add a disclaimer that all quotes are an estimate and that sometimes unexpected delays can cause the time to change. Given my prior experience moving into the apartment (detailed above) I assumed it wouldn't really exceed 3.5 hours. 3 guys showed up right within their arrival window, and to make the move as efficient as possible, I had already disassembled the 2 bed frames, shipped most all boxes except for about 8 of them and everything was all but ready to be packed... or so I thought. They then proceeded to take the next 3 hours to literally shrink wrap all of the different pieces of furniture and didn't even start packing the truck until about 3.5 hours post arrival. All in all, it took exactly 5 hours for the move or ... basically $1,000 (900 even is what I paid on an $836 bill) to move a 2bed 2bath apartment. It just seemed to lack.... efficiency and for those reasons, I won't be going with this movers again. update: After seeing the yelp review, they ended up reaching out and refunding me 1 full hour of labor (almost $200). Absolutely horrible movers. They failed to show up on the move date on time. When they finally did arrive, they left without moving anything at all because they said they were too tired. Then they arrived over a day late to deliver the items. They arrived so late during the day that they had to stay until almost midnight to unpack the truck and didn't even finish putting back together the furniture and smashed one of our pictures (never paid us anything back for that either). The most disturbing thing is that they overwork their workers so much that they physically can't finish the job. I fear for the workers safety driving such long distances without adequate sleep. At the end of the move there was a problem with the total amount, but after calling their manager, the workers said they were not allowed to leave my house until I signed off on the total amount (it was 11:30PM at night). EXTREMELY heavy kitchen cabinets from our storage unit and into our house/construction site. Our movers were efficient and meticulous- I especially appreciated their care in avoiding bumping/scratching our newly skim-coated walls. They also assisted us in moving a fire proof filing cabinet from my in-laws basement to our office- despite the job being super cumbersome (the cabinet had to be dragged up a steep driveway, it was raining, etc) our moving team was positive and professional. While their services aren't "cheap", they are a great value. We look forward to working with 2MAAMV again when we move back into our house. Thanks guys! read more

We recently used Two Men and A moving Van's service to move two homes. In both times, we were quite satisfactory by the efficiency and carefulness the staff put in. They came on time. They also called 40 minutes before they arrived, which I found this kind of good communication was very helpful. They took a lot of care during the moving process. We had a lot of furniture and fragile stuff. The staff used plastic wrappers for all furniture and fragile things to make sure they would be transferred securely. The staff also made sure to keep the house clean. It was a rainy day, but the staff used protection rug to make sure they did not bring water to the carpets. They also removed their shoes when stepping on carpets that were hard to cover with the rug. The staff also were professional when handling heavy things. We had some very heavy stuff like a massage chair that weighed over 200 pounds, but they managed to lift it with a lifting belt, and we were impressed by how they handled it with coordination to move it upstairs. They were also time-efficient. We had a lot of stuff, but they managed to finish the entire moving in 7-8 hours. I'm pretty sure in one of the instances, the staff did not even take time for lunch. We are overall quite happy about the service and would definitely use the again. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will lose items and have other items damaged. Used these guys a year ago and had a good experience, so I used them again for 2 recent moves for myself and my daughter. Both moves were awful. For my move, they left multiple items behind so I had to go collect 4 large crates by myself without a car. Despite paying them for an hour to do nothing but wrap stuff in plastic wrap - something I didn't want to use or pay for - they damaged my $2,000 sofa, my filing cabinet, all of my table legs, and I no longer own a floor mat for my desk chair as they lost it. Contacted the company - who didn't respond for 2 days - and all they did was ask for a $ value of the items. No refund, no payment, and then no response at all. I work from home and couldn't use desk chair until another one arrived to avoid damaging the floor. For my daughter's move, they were late, said they were at the building but were not, then showed up 30 minutes later with an attitude. Neither mover spoke English well, so they didn't understand instructions (nothing against non English speakers) and I doubt they would have cared or followed them anyway. To move her stuff, they propped the door open using a boxed collection of Harry Potter books my daughter has had since she was a child - but she no longer owns those either as they movers lost them. Multiple attempts to contact the mover directly, the company, and Mario at the company have gone without a response or acknowledgement. No apology, no attempt to make it right, no attempt to find an item I clearly communicated has sentimental value attached. I am thinking of reporting this as a crime and involving the police. Certainly a claim for damages and lost items in court is appropriate here. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

The team of Ecuadorian guys was terrific! We did a partial pack-- they did the kitchen and done if the heavy stuff. Not one thing even scuffed! They disassembled, moved, and reassembled a very heavy electric recliner 9 foot couch -- and it seems they put it back together better than the original installers from MOR furniture. They also moved our large IKEA king bed and all our other IKEA furniture with no problems at all. Strong guys! They had to go down 3 flights of stairs in our apartment. PRO: The process seemed to be very smooth and organized as far as booking the service. I was impressed with the quick responses and clear directions for preparing the move. The initial part of the process was seamless. CON: I felt as if the movers were not working as efficiently as they could have been (i.e., talking on their phone). I had everything boxed and ready to go in one area (studio apartment), and moved only about 5 minutes away. I couldn't believe how long it took to complete the whole process. I also stored something in my bathroom. After one of the movers asked to use the bathroom, the item was gone. I felt uncomfortable and pressured to tip at the end of the service. Unfortunately I will not be a returning customer and wouldn't recommend the company to any close friends or acquaintances. Transparent, friendly, and efficient movers. I recently hired them for a move into an older home that is perched up from the street. My house has narrow doorways and stairwells that make it very tricky to maneuver larger items. The movers did an admirable job moving a very heavy digital piano (175 lb) as well as a heavy dresser up a tight stairwell into our converted attic second level. I found the price to be reasonable based on past moving experience, and they came in at the lower end of their quote range. Hands down the best moving experience I've had. My original plans fell through (thanks HOA rules), and I called Two Men And A Moving Van the afternoon before praying that they could make magic work. Their wonderful sales associate, Liz, immediately identified a crew that had miraculously become available last minute and I was set up and ready to go. The crew, Jarmaine and Jose, arrived promptly at their estimated arrival time, which was notified in advanced as soon as they left the warehouse. I can't help but be concerned every time I hire movers that they are going to milk the hours and move at a glacial speed to cost more time. These guys were the exact opposite. The second after I signed the paper and walked them through what goes/stays, they were off and had wrapped and loaded my furniture and a few boxes in 80 minutes. And half of that time was probably just traversing from my unit to the actual truck given the longer distance. Once we arrived at the destination, they unloaded everything into our garage in 20 minutes (we didn't need full unpacking) and were off well under the 5.5 hour quoted time. Both guys were kind, professional, quick moving and self-sufficient. With previous moves I've had to micromanage... not at all with them. As a result, I was able to simultaneously pack some stuff into my car and start some cleaning. I am beyond impressed with how the move went - it was the least stressful experience, and it allowed me to fully enjoy an unexpected afternoon of free time. read more

I've used Two Men and a Moving Van twice now for local moves-- once to move my father from Kent to Federal Way (2016) and once to move my own larger furniture / boxes from a 3rd floor apartment in Kent to Auburn. They were fantastic BOTH times-- in my father's move, the worked with us to unload everything as we needed (which was a little tricky, since he was moving into a senior community and we needed some things in his apartment and some in the on-site storage; in my move, they handled the stairs at the loading location with aplomb and dealt with a tight hallway on unloading with ease. I will definitely be calling Two Men... if I have local moves in my future! Two tips, if using-- 1) If you call and set up an initial quote on the phone, make sure the "movers portal" email arrives-- you'll need it to confirm your moving date. 2) Traffic is a thing and you'll want to plan some padding time on your move if it's a weekday/sporting event day; on my most recent move, I had an afternoon time quoted and the van actually showed up a few hours late, but that was all on I5 being a parking lot, not the company. read more

Loading it efficiently, balanced the weight, used loading straps and blankets to secure / protect my furniture. They asked detailed questions, and were off to the races.
