First time here came on a Friday night. We were told a 40 minute wait. The place is in a strip mall so easily can be missed. We got a drink at the bar while we waited. With luck we only had a 15-20 min wait. My son and I both got the Curried Cauliflower bisque. Omg it was fantastic and so filling I didn't need anymore food but I got the homemade guacamole with chips. My son got the duck wings. He said they were great. The bar has 6 large TV's for watching sports. The menu is large but not a book. It has something for everyone. Nice music in the background and for a small place it was easy to talk even with music and the TV's. I would definitely go back again that soup was to die for. read more

We came here for a late weeknight dinner around 9:30 and were disappointed with the food. Servers were friendly and the bar had a nice cozy ambiance. Unfortunately it had a smell of bleach (maybe that's good though?) and the food we ordered left much to be desired. We had the Two Stones Pub Stacked Nachos and it was terrible. It came out cold the first time and I think they forgot to heat the nachos. I like to live by the "you get what you get, and you don't get upset" mantra, but if I'm paying $17 for nachos I'd like them to be warm. I did ask the server to reheat them, and they brought out a new tray (which was very nice of them, but really I just wanted warm nachos) and they were lukewarm. The queso cheese just didn't give the nachos that cheesy goodness trademark. We also ordered beer and the crispy Brussels. It was March Madness and they gave us a complimentary pint glass to take home which was a nice touch. The Brussels were good but a bit oily and the asian soy sauce was a bit overpowering. Glad we tried this place but I will explore other parts of North Wilmington before we venture back. read more

Large beer selection, but waaaay overpriced for the brews. And very heavy on the Belgians. Needs more variety despite the high number of beers. Overpriced is the theme. I ordered a beer and two club sodas. $5.90 for the 2 club sodas and $8.50 for the 12 oz beer. Wait...they charged me for the clubs and it was more than a dollar?!?! Get some class. Grilled Chicken salad...$15. Burger start at $10. Don't get me wrong...the food is pretty good. But c'mon...this is sensationalized pub grub. 5 of us. Food came out at different times by 5 different servers. My burger sat for about 5 minutes before I could get someone to bring ketchup and mustard. The smoked pork tacos were the hit. Excellent. Would recommend. And reasonably priced. Waited 45 minutes to sit. Amazing how crowds flock to average places. I like the idea of the place, but I just couldn't justify going back at those prices. read more

One of my favorite joints. The year-round menu is yummy (try the meatloaf!), but their seasonal and weekly specials are always where it's at. The beer is always fresh and new, drinks are good, food is delish. Whenever we have an issue with our order management always accommodates. Prices are a little steep to go here super often, but I go as often as I can! Love the atmosphere, too! read more

I recently went back to 2 Stones for dinner. Their menu was once eclectic and high quality, however both of our meals were so so at best. To top it off, their beer selection has been pretty lame for the past two years. Once a meca for IPA's and the best Pilsner in the land, now it's filled with unfiltered IPA's only, and many flavor added selections that just aren't my cup of tea. Pre Covid I used to stop in at least twice a week, but I think last night might be my last. For quality beer selections they have been surpassed by Green Turtle, Hideaway, Stoneys, Duffers, McKinzie, same with the food. read more

Love this place, and the one in Newark. Great food, great beer. Love the specials. Amazing brunch. If you follow them on Facebook they post pictures of the lunch and dinner specials, which I always want immediately. The only problem I have is the prices. For two people and 2 beers it could upwards of $50 or $60 depending on the beer. I've seen $14 pints, nothing below $5 after happy hour. To compare, the bar down the street had La Fin du Monde for $7 vs $9.50 at Two Stones. Again, everything I've had has been great, but can't come here to drink for a whole night, too expensive. Not a bad place, as long as you don't sit behind the tap "boxes". Went in after a long day and took up a spot at the bar "behind" one of the boxes that contain the taps. I had to damn near set myself on fire to get noticed. Regulars at the bar were taken care of quickly, yet I sat, with a menu *in hand* and damn near had to smack a bartender with it to get her attention. I could almost understand it if the place was wall-to-wall people...but, alas, it wasn't. Dunno if this is the norm with places on the east coast, but I know this isn't something I run into on the west coast. read more

Came here last Saturday night with the hubby- it was our first time! We really just wanted to have a few drinks but after seeing some of the dishes changed our mind and got two appetizers to share- the mussels and the hot and spicy fry pile!! On Sunday night (04/27), my boyfriend and I went here with my sister and her husband before catching our train back to Hoboken. We've been here a few times in the past since it opened, and I have to say, I'm never disappointed. This time around, I decided to order the pan-fried jumbo-lump crab cakes, and for an appetizer, we chose the braided pretzels with the queso blanco and beer mustard sauces. Here's where I have to detract a star--our server, Tara, was very sweet and friendly, but she forgot to place the appetizer order. By the time she realized her error, our meals were almost ready and we didn't have a whole lot of time left, so we asked her to leave it off our tab (which she did). She seemed genuinely apologetic, so we let it pass. My crab cakes came with old-bay seasoned steak fries (HUGE, but delicious). The dill sauce had bits of pickle in it and was a good choice for the crab meat, which was cooked well. My sister ordered the shrimp and grits, and I sampled some...I definitely need to order this the next time I come here. Shrimp and cheddar cheese make an excellent combination. My boyfriend ordered the brisket, which was unbelievably tender and drizzled with a savory honey barbecue sauce. My brother-in-law got the foie gras burger (done medium-rare). I assume he liked it, since he cleaned his plate. For dessert, we split two slices of cake among the four of us: the limoncello cake and S'mores cheesecake. Two slices of heaven, as far as I'm concerned, although I think the limoncello cake edged out the cheesecake slightly in flavor. The limoncello cake reminded me of a lemon coconut Junior TastyKake: moist, sweet with a hint of tartness, but not heavy. The S'mores cheesecake...well, it was cheesecake with chocolate and caramel sauce drizzled on the top along with marshmallows and crumbled bits of graham crackers. What more could you possibly want? I'm looking forward to my next visit. I hope they don't forget the pretzels though. read more

Usually one of my favorite places to eat, I was extremely disappointed with our last visit. After having a lengthy discussion with our waitress about their gluten-free options and having her bring me the gluten-free menu. I ordered two pulled pork tacos off of said gluten-free menu. I ate an entire taco before I realized they were served on flour tortillas. I called the waitress over, asked "are these flour tortillas?", she panicked, I told her I wasn't allergic and that I had given up wheat for lent. She was visibly relieved and offered me a corn tortilla. I declined but felt that there should have been some degree of comp. read more

I came here at my sister's recommendation for a first date. I was impressed with the beer selection and the beer menu presentation, but since I'm a wheat beer gal, they only had one for me to select from. They will give you a sample sip of a beer so you don't have to commit to ordering a full glass. The staff; the hostess and our server; were very nice; very personable. They had sold out of the duck special of the day; so we went with a second choice order. I had the Porkchop with sweet potato bacon hash and asparagus, he had the chicken mac & cheese. We didn't order an appetizer; as the burger plates that passed us by were HUGE; but we were very surprised at the small portion size when our entree arrived. Both were delicious; really fantastic; but very very small, especially when taking the price into consideration. We had to order an appetizer after our entree as we were still hungry; so we split the nachos with pulled pork; and that chased away the rumbles in our tummy. I felt the dishes creative and delicious, but the price is rather high for what you get. I couldn't see making this a regular stop. I think I'd really award 3.5 stars, but I'll err on the side of optimism. read more

I've been here a few times and enjoyed it every time. The beer selection if great 23 Taps, all crafts. They apparently have a brewery (or seem to) they have collaboration beers as well. It would be nice if that was more clear, the signs all say 2SP ?? Oh I get it... I'm dense when I see good beers.I was also happy to go on Tuesdays when they donate some proceeds to the duPont Children's Hospital, nice touch. The food is excellent, high end touches to standard pub grub, thoughtfully prepared. I love wings with interesting available here only flavors and they had a few. imaginative and tasty. They smoke their own BBQ and it is so tender it melts in your moth. Prices are good and service is okay, the waitstaff at tables need to study up on the beer selection a little. Staff is friendly enough but the bartender could pay attention to ALL customers, I tended to see her chatting up a few people and forget about the rest of the bar for more than a few minutes. The bar is tiny so there is no excuse for that. Service quality is the only reason I dropped them a star, but that can be corrected pretty easily with just a few words from a manager.... read more

We were there on a Friday night to have a casual dinner. The way the restaurant has it's tables at this location, the booths are in line w/ the front door. So , when the door opens the cold air comes rushing in &a you get a major breeze on your necks. The chicken livers were very good but when u have hamburgers for $14 and u charge a $1 extra for a slice of onion, something is not right. It left us w/ a bad taste in our mouths. read more

Must try brunch. Get there at 10:00 as it gets busy after 11ish. Brunch on 10/12/14 - Had the best chicken and waffles to date there for brunch. Was so rich and filling that I ate 1/3 for brunch and took leftovers home for afternoon snack later that day and lunch on Monday. Waffles are deep fried (I believe) and tasty. The chicken is large nuggets of seasoned breading deep fried just right. The country gravy is not your average country gravy - it is thick and spicy and the portion is just enough to give you a taste with each and every bite. Just a damn good meal. Had dinner there on 10/1514 - Husband got the portabello stuffed with crab and artichoke risotto with sautéed spinach. Creamy and rich, full of flavor. I got the pork cheek carnitas - tasted slow cooked and was so tender and soft. Dirty rice was full of flavor and just solid good tasty food. This place and it's chef are not afraid of spices and flavor. A nice change for the Delaware restaurant scene! read more

Really impressed. Had been talking about checking it out for a while, and so I took my wife and her sister for their birthday dinner last night. Great beer options, friendly and helpful bartenders, very accurate on the wait time for a table on a Saturday night. Awesome food - the appetizers were delicious, both the mussels and the guacamole. This pub has very good reviews so we decided to go while we were in DE. Big mistake, first the only game on all TVs was the Eagles! Really, other teams Were playing. The beer selection was fine and I had a glass of wine. We all ordered late lunch and two of The four were ok but the other two were awful. The boneless chicken wings looked and tasted like chicken nuggets from McDonalds. The crab cake sandwich was only warm, on a hamburger bun instead of the Brioche bun on the menu. The crab cake was so bland, had pieces of shell in it. The homemade chips were tough and tasted greasy. In summary, I don't ever plan to return when I am visiting..... there are too many other much better places. read more

I'd actually rate this a 3.5 stars if I could. Our one and only experience so far was better than average but not stellar. The menu offered a good selection of traditional and atypical pub fare. We ordered two burgers, each cooked to different temperatures, but when they came out, they looked the same. Still, the burgers were really tasty and good-sized. The brioche bun was a nice touch. We each upgraded to two different types of fries (sweet potato & truffle), but neither were really worth it. They had a good selection of spirits in addition to beer, but whoever was behind the bar wasn't a very good mixologist. Very attentive and pleasant server. I'm willing to go back for a second try as in general there aren't very many good local joints around our area. read more

Been meaning to leave a review for a while... I live near this place and glad I do. You really can't go wrong here. I have had most of the menu items and all of them are tremendous. Best in the area for sure. The bar is great, beer selection a little on the IPA side, but they know better than me what sells. There are some other options that are good if you don't like IPAs. I suggest they keep Delco Lager on tap. Great alternative. Highly recommend this place. read more

The place is cute, very brew-pub-y, casual, and always seating available. But the menu has so much more to offer than just every day pub food. I'm staying in Wilmington, DE on a 6 month work assignment and have been to Two Stones 3 times now. We were initially staying just down the road at the Crowne Plaza and ate here since it was our closest option. We happened to eat there on Valentines Day, which was also a Taco Tuesday. The taco tuesday special seemed like a good deal, there were some friend fish type options, and some really interesting "sweet" taco for valentines day. My coworker got the friend fish taco and loved it. I made the wrong choice that day and got a salad and added grilled chicken. The service was a bit slow to begin with that day, and then my salad came without the chicken, and when the waiter finally brought it out we were all basically done with our meals. But, it was Valentines day, so we wrote it off to them being under-staffed. We went back for a 2nd visit, and I had a butternut squash dish. I can't remember everything that was in it, and it is no longer on the menu - but it was fabulous. Very filling for a vegetarian dish. This last visit I got the turkey chili and a small spring greens salad. That name does it no justice - there are tarragon friend chickpeas in it! And a yogurt saffron dressing! My whole meal was $11, and I couldn't even finish the salad! It's always been pretty quiet when I've been there, maybe 4-8 other occupied tables, but I'm always there on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. They have a nice beer selection, and an option to get an 8 oz or full pour, which is cool! read more

The food here has no reason to be as good as it is, the menu is awesome and their special burger is almost always creative. The beer has great variety which changes often. Been too multiple of their locations and it is constant between locations. I don't really treat this place as a bar, the beer and food make it a fantastic dining experience. read more

Stopped in 2SP on Saturday 10/12/13 for lunch. This was my third visit here and the first for my two guests. All three of us had a wonderful meal. The portion sizes were very large, the food was well seasoned and creative, and the beer list is first rate. Our server, Jaime, did an excellent job in explaining the menu items and the specialty beers. She is an asset to 2SP. I highly recommend Two Stone Pub in North Wilmington. It is a gem. read more

Went here one day for happy hour but couldn't get a seat at the bar because everyone was spread out so we sat at a high top. I ordered a whiskey sour and it was horrible. Way too sour. I even added more ice and water but it was so sour I didn't even finish the drink. That was a $9 sour mix. Not sure if they even put whiskey in the drink. We also tried to figure out what deals they had for happy hour but nothing was posted. There are too many bars around with better drinks to be wasting time at this place. read more
