Didn't notice a large crack in the plastic under the seat. Yeah, maybe I should have in the test drive, but didn't. They won't make it right, saying "they didn't make much profit on the truck." Absolutely the worst Ford Dealership service dept I have ever encountered. I moved to this area a year ago and have had nothing but 1 bad experience after another; each time they apologize and tell me if I bring it back in they will "get it right" This latest experience is the last straw; I had scheduled a standard service which turned out to be a 100K service - not a problem, but I pointed out the steering wheel was offset right and could they fix it. When I picked up the vehicle, it now had a severe pull to the left and the steering wheel was now displaced to the left. I brought it back so they could "get it right" - which they said they accomplished by cross rotating tires and adjusting the wheel. Test drove the vehicle, which did drive better, but soon discovered when they rotated the tires they failed to check/reset tire pressures; now, the rear tires which hold 80lbs are on the front, and the fronts which take 60lbs are on the rear. This kind of oversight is inexcusable, and potentially hazardous. I have been waiting all afternoon for a manager to call me - nothing yet. I can find no reason to return to this dealership for service and I would recommend to others they take their business elsewhere. read more

I own a ford and have always gotten service done at Ford dealerships because they had the ability to offer me a loaner car while they were performing on my vehicle. Recently the owner of Tyler Ford has decided to only make loaner cars available to people who purchased directly from his store only and anyone that has purchased at any other Ford dealership around the country, including like if you moved from another state to here no longer will be offered a loaner car. However, Jacksonville Ford continues to offer loaner cars to those who need them. This has been what distinguished Ford dealership above others for me and now that this owner of Tyler Ford has decided to no longer honor this he has lost my business while Jacksonville Ford dealership has earned a new customer. read more

Then when you try to get them to resolve the issue they don't return your call. I've put in four calls to a manager and not received one call back. My truck jerks around when I'm coming to a stop. They do not do appointment for an oil change. So I went there around 3:30pm on Friday to see about getting one and they came out and told me they were so backed up and couldn't do anymore but I could come again Monday morning at 7:30am. They are open till 6pm. Maybe having a more organized schedule and appointments could fix that but what do I know. No wonder this dealership has a 2.5 rating (for now). Took the car in yesterday for a 9:00 am appointment for a recall and a window issue. was told we would have the car back yesterday. We waited all day to get an update or for them to tell us we can pick it up and nothing. I spend the first hour this morning trying to get in touch with someone who works there and there was nothing. Had to call Ford's customer service line to get them to call this dealership to give me an update around 10:00 and they couldn't help. called at 11:00 and finally got in touch with Ryan who said the system is down and they would check on it and call back in 15 minutes. It's now 1:40 and I had to call them and they are telling me they haven't worked on the recall and they are just now looking at the window. Son attends college in Tyler, TX and had trouble with his Ford vehicle which is still under original manufactures warranty plus Ford ESP. He took it to Tyler Ford and was immediately asked if he purchased the vehicle there. Tyler Ford offered zero helo, would assist with a rental or loaner, then refused to work on the vehicle. Servuce Manager informed me to take it up with Ford, they were independently owned, and coukd do whatever they want. read more

Look, I try to be fair and not let emotions get in the way of my review. Previously I had an alignment and oil change which went fine. I returned because the balance went out (two weights on two tires fell off). I was the only person in the service bay and had, without exaggeration 5+ customer come in and leave with their serviced vehicles. I have been waiting for a balance job for over two hours at this point. The customer service is polite but lacking. It added insult to injury seeing a group of mechanics in a circle chatting, through the window. They did however discount the service because of the extended wait time. read more

I have genuinely have nothing but GREAT reviews for Tyler Ford. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Being an owner who lives in Dallas, I have a myriad of Ford dealerships to choose from. I choose to drive an hour and a half to Tyler Ford because of so many positive things. The staff is patient, respectful, and treats you like family. They have incredible deals and will patiently walk through questions you may have regarding financing and what not. Made me feel at ease and comfortable with my purchase and took away all my anxiety about leasing a new vehicle. When I have car troubles, the dealerships in my surrounding area just give me the cold shoulder and vaguely explain issues and resolutions for the problem. It's so frustrating. I feel like just another customer with a car to get in and out as fast as they can. At Tyler Ford they treat you the way they as a customer would want to be treated. The service team is great at communicating the daily status of your car, and helps explain what they are doing to fix it. They don't treat you like a factory like, at Tyler Ford they treat your car as if it were their own. The owner Dave went above and beyond to help me with issues with my mustang that no other dealership in my surrounding area was willing to do. I would just get blown off and told there was nothing they could do which is extremely frustrating. Unlike the others, Dave wouldn't take "there's nothing we can do" for an answer. I brought my car back to the original dealership in Tyler. Worth every mile. As previously stated, they treat their customers vehicles as if they were their own personal car. Dave made sure the service team wouldn't stop running tests until they found the answer. He really went the extra mile with customer service. If I could give Dave 5 stars I would! And not just Dave, but all of the staff honestly goes above and beyond to help you with all of your needs. Bryan and Riley took extra out of their busy day to walk me through number by number while figuring out my lease term. Bless their hearts, I had so many questions, but they were both so caring and patient with all my questions and answered every one of them! My anxiety was gone and I felt comfortable with my lease financing. This is my second lease with Tyler Ford and they made leasing my second vehicle a breeze. They quoted me a price in writing online. I completed all of my financial paperwork online. I came and test drove the car and when I went to sign the paperwork they had added a $2000 fee because they said they had so many buyers they could do this to customers. Went for oil change and 20k service. When I bought the truck I got the pre paid service plan. Well that doesn't mean anything to Tyler Ford. The didn't Chang cabin filter nor did they fill the def tank. I called back to ask why and was told we don't usually do that unless you ask. I said but it's pre paid, why do I need to ask for it and it's listed as part of the 20k service plan. I'd definitely recommend going anywhere else. read more

I chose Tyler Ford for an oil change and tire rotation because it was near a place I was going. I go online and they have an appointment screen. So I set something up for Saturday and added that any time between Tuesday and Friday after 2:30 would work. I heard nothing, so I called. They said they don't use the site any more (THEN PULL IT DOWN!) and no longer take appointments for oil changes. So..... I called ahead on the day I needed and asked. They said they could get it done. While they got the job done in a little over an hour and did a decent job, they really need to rethink not accepting appointments. My mother who is a senior citizen went into this dealership alone to purchase a vehicle. They insisted she leave a $10k deposit and did not allow her to leave with the vehicle. She was not seeking to finance her purchase but to write a check. They also had her sign a Retail Purchase Agreement and advised her to come back and write the check for the final amount later in the week. I went back to the dealership with her and they insisted she never signed a contract. When I persisted they handed over the Retail Purchase Agreement. This dealership does not treat senior citizens in a respectful manner. She also asked to see a new vehicle and the sales person lied and stated they only have a standard available. The Ford Explorer models are all automatic. He insisted on selling her a used vehicle with 40k miles and adding an additional warranty. read more

Service Department. Do not take any diesel trucks here they have no clue what they are doing. So I drive a f350 dually pickup and we drive a lot.. It just turned 190k and well it started to make a sound. Im not a mechanic or a mans man.. Im a guy that if the car breaks down I use the cell phone and call AAA cause well looking under the hood and crap I don't understand is a waste of my time. When stuff breaks I take it to the professionals.. I know nothing about cars.. and I know more than these clowns.. SAD.. so here is the short story.. out of town.. In town for the horse show.. truck sounds bad... Use iPhone look up ford in tyler tx.. use google maps get there.. Drop off truck.. On a thursday. I explain my situation.. that I'm from out of town gonna have to rent a car etc.. I am told we are busy and probably can't look at it until tommorow. That would be friday. Friday comes and goes.. nada Saturday..same Sunday..closed.. Monday.. I call.. Service Manager is busy but I am told the paper work has been pulled and its awaiting authorization.. So after 30 minutes on hold. I decide to leave as I have rental car from Enterpirse.. I drive to tyler.. Ford. wait 15 min someone to assist me.. in the meantime.. i hear the phones going nuts with nothing but complaints and people just upset about shotty service, missed deadlines, broken promises and missed diagnosis.. At this point I while I am alarmed I actually do start to feel better.. misery does love company and I now know that the guys just universally suck and are not trying to give me the pop off. So finally I get service manager and I am told.. well they are at lunch at 10 30 but .. they can't find anything wrong with it.. but they do hear a noise.. I brought it in because it sounded like stones in a coffee can.. so the revelation that they hear a noise is not earth shattering but a simple regurgitation of the obvious. We will call you in a couple hours.. that was approx 10 30 415 i get a call and my service manager has gone home sick but blah blah will now assist me. So blah blah tells me that the tech can't diagnose whats wrong and I need to come in and drive it with him.. We get down there before they close and well.Still people complaining about bad service and missed delays hours later.. so they bring my truck around. They start it up without waiting for glow plugs.. guy hands me keys and saids she's ready to rock and roll.. There was no number, no paper mat, no seat cover no nothing. These jack offs no more looked at this truck than the man the moon. Fine can't look at it aren't able don't have the time tell me.. but no.. made me pay for 5 days of a rental car and then do nothing and tell me to rock and roll. I know Im from out of town and don't matter but I assure you I am telling every horse person that I know that comes to Tyler that your not only morally bankrupt but that you have the service skills of a speed bump. Tyler ford thanks for nothing.. are you guys sure you don't own the Americas Best Value Inn On the Loop if not one of you should by the other than way you can be awful together. I paid cash for a Ford Focus 2017 and was treated horribly by Dave (the owner) and when I had a problem with the key fobs he talked to me so disrespectfully that if someone had talked to his wife that way he would have been ticked off. I used to like Tyler Ford. My opinion has changed due to recent events. One,when I bought my new truck there the finance dept. told me I would have gotten a better interest rate if I had bought additional ad on. Gap ins. extended warranty, stuff like that. That is an illegel practice. Two,last month when I took my vehicle in for repair ,which they didn't do,they also failed to inform me I have a major radiator leak and need my brakes serviced. I found this out yesterday via email . I am currently on a job 400 miles from the house hoping my vehicle doesn't break down.
