Before my father passed away there was an accident involving a deer. He has full coverage insurance with Allstate. After my father passed away and the insurance was a notified and the coverage was approved the claim was approved. The manager at Ford body shop decided to cut corners that required us to have to leave the car for grand total of 2 weeks. The first time we left the car there they repaired only the front portion of the car where the deer had initially hit. There was other damage that the Allstate claims adjuster approved to be fixed it was caused by the deer. It involved two tail light replacements. This manager, or associate advocate to allstate. Did the very least amount of efforts to repair the damage done. They over charged the insurance by claiming that they did a fluid check etc that they apparently didn't do. Its just ridiculous that they tried to take advantage of the situation. My father, after 55 yrs of being an avid ford owner, would have flipped his lid. The customer service is nill, non-existent. We all have full coverage and drive fords. About 10 ford vehicles are on the road right now because of my father's offspring. It's blatant disrespect. read more

I was getting my Jeep worked on at the nearby Jeep dealer & was getting a little tired of renting a car due to the lengthy time it was taking to fix the jeep (10 days) so I decided to buy a used car. I tried the Jeep used car lot first, but the used car lot rep. didn't call me back. I went to Tyler Ford & found a used Mercury Grand Marquis with only 43,000 miles on it & it ran great. They only thing was the oil gauge was not working. Cody Fox was the sales agent & he gave me his undivided attention & worked out our fair deal. The oil gauge was to be fixed & to my surprise he offered a loaner car while we had the car fixed. That was so nice! We picked up the car the next day & I noticed a miss in the engine. I called Cody & reported this to him. I thought perhaps a wire had come loose or a vacuum leak had been accidentally disconnected while being fixed in the service department. Anyway, the car is driving well except for the miss during acceleration. I plan to run some fuel cleaner through the tank. Will advise further if the miss turns out to be a major problem. I would buy my next car here because I did feel like part of the family! Ok, this is the rest of the story: On July 27, 2015, been driving around in the above listed car & the check engine light came on. The engine is has a miss, so I drive it to Tri-County Ford in Maybank Tx., & tell them about the car & the check engine light. The service advisor, Scott Kinney says if I can leave the car they can get right on it. I was surprised it was so fast to get the checked out. Within 2 hrs. they have diagnosed the problem being a bad coil, spark plug & wire. I approved the work & picked up the car within 3 hrs. The car drove like new. Kudos to the service dept. of Tri-County Ford! So, my car buying experience was not perfect. After the sale was the end of the honeymoon. Eddie read more

I have bought 2 cars from Tyler Ford! My first was great, the 2nd NOT so much!! After 2 transmission on a brand new car and other countless issues with my car. I was willing to do what I had to do to trade it in.. I promised this that and the other, However NO one called me back! Shocking right? Hmm not so much. I tried again, was told again " I will call you right back" .... still waiting on that call months later. Sooo me being me I try again.... this time to buy a new truck for my husband. Had to hunt someone down.. finally found someone explained what I was needing and why I was there. They guy didn't know CRAP! I knew the miles and price on every truck I looked at.. He just shrugged his shoulders. That upset me, then he tells me I have one getting detailed right now.. somewhat explained the truck to me. Told him I was interested he said I will call you as soon it gets back.. again months later NO calls from Tyler Ford. They are NOT in the business of helping others, they are not willing to do what's right for the customer. I will never step foot on that lot or speak with anyone from Tyler Ford ever again!! The salesmen must hate their jobs because they don't get excited to go on test drives. In fact, they won't even offer you a test drive unless they are 100% confident you will make a purchase from them. You can even pull up in a $150k Porsche and they will treat you with such stinginess if you seem on the fence about what you want; they don't want to waste time or pull out any stops to convince you to buy something from them. Also, as someone else mentioned they overprice their cars here. You'll have better luck at Longview Ford who's prices match or are lower than the MSRP's. There's a reason Tyler Ford has a stockpile of Mustangs in the back... I'm just surprised they are still in business and even more surprised that they even make sales. Another red flag was the fact that the car they let us SIT in had less than 1 gallon of gas in the tank; it's a matter of time before something mechanical gets burnt from that. read more

Bought a KIA there this year (2015). Received my complimentary oil change and tire rotation. I have bought seven to eight vehicles there in the last ten years. Love the staff and service. I can't see myself going anywhere else. The "service" department is really nice with coffee, doughnuts, fountain drinks, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi...... I kind of hated to leave. I bought a used car from Barry Broussard. He claimed that it was in perfect condition. Since Tyler Ford is supposed to be a reputable car dealership, I negotiated the deal over the phone and drove 3 hours to pick it up. It was dark when I arrived so I could not check under the vehicle. In the coming week, I noticed an oil leak. We had only driven the vehicle home and maybe another hundred miles at that point. No way the vehicle wasn't leaking oil before we picked it up. They must have washed it prior to our pickup to hide the leak. Barry claims it wasn't leaking before we bought it. This is my son's first car and we thought we were dealing with honest people. Barry Broussard and the management at Tyler Ford are NOT honest people. DO NOT trust them! read more

I have a 2001 Ford 350 diesel with 210000 miles on it. Yes it's old but since it's a diesel engine I expected to get 300000 + out of the truck easily. So yes I've had some issues with it and always took to Tyler Ford to have it worked on. Well! I've had a reoccuring problem that Tyler Ford would fix but never got down to the real problem I was having. Why was I repeatedly having the same problem? So yes, it happened again and now Tyler Ford won't even look at it. They said it's too old and too many miles. Did I mention that I bought the truck from Tyler Ford in the first place. I tried to talk them into looking at it, but the answer was no. No! Luckily I found another mechanic to look at it after several phone calls. Grace auto works looked at it Friday and by Friday afternoon they were confident that they found the season why I was having a reoccuring problem and that it was fixable. I'll never buy or go back to Tyler Ford again. Plus they only have one diesel mechanic and the wait time to have them look at it was over two and a half weeks. Rediculous!! read more

The only problem I have is with Tyler Ford is the communication of the service dept. They had my vehicle for over a week I finally had to call to even know what was going on. Where do I begin with the Service Dept!! I brought my wrecked car into them because they were a recommended by my insurance company. If I use them I would have a life time warranty. My car was in there shop 2 months! When I got it back it ran okay but started running rough and having several issues after a month and half of driving it. I took it back with a list of issues they called and said they were going to take it to local dealership to look at it. Well after taking it to them they said I had 3 1/2 inches of water issues in my bumper and it caused the module to go out my car. ( I find this strange ) Remind you my car is 2014 BMW X 3 with only 23,000 miles on it. Service Department said they would not cover it since my coverage was only guaranteed to front of car where damage was. So I pay out $3600.00 out of pocket and get my car back 2 weeks later and guess what same problems I took it in for!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO DO ANYTHING THEY SUCK!! I believe the 2 months they had my car in repairs they had my car outside in who knows what elements ( I know there was a lot of rain during the time they had it). I believe the water damage stems from them. I would also like to say in the 2 months they had my car when I went to pick it up it had a long scratch on the left side read bumper that was never there and I pointed it out to them - they said it was brought in that way! They went and looked at pics taken when brought in and saw that scratch was not there so they had to fix that. They also gave my car back dirty it had grease inside interior and grease all on my floor board. Oh yeah they claimed they didn't do that either!! Really where did the grease come from??? You would think the 2 months they had my car they would put something down to keep from getting grease on my carpet! Very unhappy with them and would never recommend anyone to use them. read more

i took my ford f150 fx4 in because they replaced the windshield washer sprayer on the passenger side that had gone bad. the new sprayer if im not wrong seats into position with a clip on it. anyway it sprays over the windshield onto the top of my truck because it has play in it and it doesnt seat in position properly. so i take it down to tyler ford, and they tell me its normal and the wind should push the water onto the windshield when im driving on the road and refused to replace it or do anything else to resolve the issue. how incompetent can they be, to think anyone would believe an explanation like that. and refused to take care of the situation. i had to call ford corporate to file a complaint and get it resolved since my bumper to bumper warranty is about to go out. how they stay in business with such incompetent people is beyond me. if you want your vehicle fixed properly by competent service personel then take it somewhere else to have it fixed. tyler ford sucks read more
