I came here all the time for my bagels especially when I was bringing them for work but on 2 separate occasions there was hair in my food! I should've learned from the first time but thought it was an honest mistake. After the second time I was speaking to my sister about it and she did bring to my attention that they do not wear hair nets and will pick your bagels with their bare hands. Have been there multiple times and was never really a fan as they consistantly get orders wronf and there bagels arent the best but they had been getting better lately and do still stop in occasionally. Today My girlfriend goes into the bagel shop to get breakfast for us and comes home we start eating our food one thing being a platter and another being an egg sandwich two bite into our food we both got some nice strands of what appear to be blondish looking hair. great feeling to eat someone elses hair when all you wanted was a nice enjoyable breakfast will not be eating there ever again! I make this a regular stop every time I work out east. The coffee bar is great and clean and always has fresh coffee. The bagels are big and soft like I like them. My wife is not a fan of the bagels, because she likes them warm and crispy, but I certainly like them here. . They make for great egg sandwiches. To each their own. Here's the best part about this place. You could see on my previous posts that I am all about customer service, and the women that work here exemplify what great customer service should be. Absolute sweethearts to every regular, vendor and customer I see. They seem to genuinely love the people that walk into their store and appreciate their visit by providing them with great customer service. What floored me recently was the treatment of a particular customer. A very friendly African American gentleman who may or may not be socially challenged came in to get breakfast one day and pay his tab. He passed me with a hearty, "Good morning sir" and after I replied, explained to one of the women that he had money to square up his account. She praised him for being a good customer as I was praising them for being so generous. This individual seemed to get a well-deserved break and this establishment was nice enough to give it to him. The worst bagel store on Long Island, possibly NY. The always screw up orders, bagels are never fresh and are bread-like. The women behind the counter are especially rude and don't seem to like to be dealing with customers. My husband was in this morning and two different customers who were not together said they received the wrong order. The counter woman told them to "switch them". They had already opened and handled each other's sandwiches. Gross. Will never go back. read more

I love this bagel store. The staff there is excellent. The bagels are wonderful. They also have Byrne dairy chocolate milk which is delicious. I can't say enough about what a great store this is. I highly recommend this bagel store for all of your breakfast and lunch needs. read more

For months now, I have tried to give this store the benefit of the doubt because they are constantly busy. Busy does NOT always mean their good. I have never gone and ordered breakfast from this place without a major mess-up. Not only do they constantly make errors, they are rude about it and never take the blame. I called back the store on an order I made, the man was extremely rude on the phone and just hung up. When I arrived back at the store, after 5 minutes of being ignored by the 6 staff members behind the counter, the rude man on the phone hands me my new sandwich and without a word walks away from me. Not only did he not apologize for the inconvenience it has put on me for having to come back, my bagel was completely burnt. I have never wrote a bad review in my life but this really got under my skin because it is a constant with them and even after going back for a new sandwich, it is still inedible. I haven't been to this place for about 6 months. When I went back this week at 9:30am, they were out of most of their bagels. I settled for a plain bagel with butter since there was such a small selection. I was charged $2.25 for a plain with butter. It was $1.75 a few months ago. The bagel I settled for was stale. I only gave one star as I was not allowed to give none. The way they handle the food is completely unsanitary and disgusting. The women working there wear one vinyl glove. And they do not change it or take it off. I ordered bagels and before I did I observed her handling the customers food, money, bags, napkins and money all with the gloved hand. I still ordered my bagel. I watched her as she took my bagel out, handled the knife and even blocked the cream cheese with the "gloved" hand. Then she cleared off the work counter with the gloved hand (no paper towel, used the glove). Then she brought over the bagel and I mentioned to her that the glove is suppose to be used to handle the food and changed between customers. She replied to me she did. I then said that I just observed you touching everything in this store including money with the glove. She replied to me "Well do you want the bagel?" At which time I said no. Then as I turned away she said "Thanks for coming A--Hole". To which I said no problem as I'm reporting you to the Department of Health. So if you like your food with every germ from all the money and from every surface in the store, this is the place to eat!
