This storage unit place is awesome! Great people running it, lower prices than elsewhere, great…read morelocation near freeway and avoiding Encinitas blvd in summer for everyday in and out. This business runs like a family with a caring couple running the biz: they look out for our business for better units to pull our truck into, they paint and dial their units before a new customer takes over, and they'll reach out if I left something out near my unit. This storage unit is great for businesses and it's common to see regular workers there tending to each of their products daily. We'd never look anywhere else!

Thank you Loyal Customer of over 7 yrs! For Sonya and Erik…read more When is is okay for managers to harass and threaten customers? Sonya was out if CONTROL w/her POWERTRIP. Said my car was "blocking the way." Confirmed w/customers car was "not" in the way. I ask her to " leave me alone" and I would comply with her request once finished. Sonya responds " I don't have to." (Begins mentioning a complaint I made about other customers involving them moving their car). Sonya THREATENED to "EVICT" me w/ " 2 days to get my stuff out." Erik then confronts me to tell me "to leave, this is PRIVATE PROPERTY." Just paid them $160 day before. Thank you Sonya and Erik for your excellent customer service! Especially during this difficult time with COVID! The lack of respect and boundaries from Sonya is deplorable!! She has never been friendly, nor her lovely husband. They need to reevaluate themselves before they ATTACK their customers.

I had everything I own stolen from two separate units…read more I stored my belongings here for over 20 years, paying roughly $40-50k over that time. In the end, about $50,000 worth of my property was stolen from my two units, including irreplaceable items from my late father and grandparents, original artwork, and a career's worth of work samples (50+ snowboards). Their cameras only cover the outside of the buildings. Other storage facilities advertise interior cameras as a safety feature; this one doesn't have any. The front gate regularly allows multiple cars to pass through with one code entry, and the building doors themselves don't require an entry code or are usually propped open - essentially, anyone can enter the property and the buildings with zero verification that they should be there. Their website and payment system make you re-enter your payment information after you've already entered it and clicked confirm. I spoke to them about this numerous times, explaining that it's confusing; no retailer ever makes you reconfirm a purchase. Their response was that they didn't want people double-charged. I'd much rather be double-charged than robbed blind. Read into this however you like, but only my wife, myself, and their staff knew I had these units. I generally came midweek/mid-day and was careful not to leave anything of visible value in the hallways. My units were across the building from each other, and there was no obvious way for someone to know which units to target. My theory - and the detective on my case agreed it was plausible - is that I forgot to confirm my payment on their website one time, sending my unit(s) to pre-lien status. I paid the moment I got the notice, but the damage seems to have already been done. The thieves went through every single box in one unit, but stopped a third of the way through the other, leaving thousands of dollars of stuff untouched. Why? It's almost like they were told to stop for some reason. Maybe after a payment was made? When I reported my theft to the front desk, one employee was genuinely shaken, but the manager had an unmistakable "oh, sh**" look and showed zero surprise that I'd been robbed. To make it worse: insurance requires receipts and proof of ownership for decades-old belongings, much of it from people no longer alive to help me prove what I owned - capped at $5,000 on a $50,000 loss. Two decades of trust, gone. The place looks nice, but not everyone has a nice experience. I left one star, I wish I could leave less.

When it was El Camino Self Storage we had a unit for almost 2 years before rent was raised. When the elevator is "out of service" they could easily send a generic email so customers dont waster their time, Nope. Employees hop around to the different corporate locations, they know little about specifics. The 2nd floor units are not secure, they use a concrete style building mesh for the "roof" of the units, meaning the unit next to yours could pour, drop or toss anything they want through the "ceiling". This place sucks!

He has such a great attitude - everyone should have an employee like Eli - he cares so much about us customers, is so knowledgeable & helpful, answered all questions, was so patient, and such an honest person. When I had a issue, I worked with Yarlet, & after some back & forth, all went far more better than my expectations! The place is very convenient, with all 10x10 units on 1st floor, & 10x23 & above on 2nd floor. They have a big elevator & loading dock area with huge dolly-cart things to load up. They had a buy 1 month, get 1/2 off 2nd month deal that's really great & saves money! Good place - and Eli, you will always be successful with your amazing attitude!
