I had an iPhone XS that took a few drops of water and started a reboot loop. The phone was functioning 100%. Actually, I just had a zoom call (like I do daily) before the phone caught some water and started rebooting on its own (in a loop). They called me the day before my repair appointment to explain to me the process: - we diagnose the problem (for free) - we propose solution + cost - you agree, you pay us, we repair it This is not really how it went: Unfortunately, they did not even try to open the device to see what's the problem. They did not diagnose it as they explained on the phone. Instead, they wanted to either charge me for a new screen (300$+) or a battery (100$+) without really knowing what's the problem. The phone has an excellent battery and the screen has zero dents or scratches on it (well taken care of). I am disappointed that they did not even attempt to diagnose the issue. I don't trust the crew or the company although I had high hopes. My advise, if you own an Apple device, just get the AppleCare program and save yourself a headache. read more

I had a simple job, a wire splice. It is on a SubPac M2. The device isn't important, but what is is what happened. First they said "we just moved locations and don't have a wire splitter." I said, ok, let me go home and get mine. Drive through traffic, finally make it back about 45 min later with the wire splitters. They then say that they cannot do the job without possibly injuring themselves or the device. Dude, you are an electronics repair place and are unable to splice a cable (about 4 wires in the cable). So I ask, is there another location that might be able to help? And he's like, they will have the same problem we do, no splitters. LOL, wtf? My less than a year old Samsung phone was stuck on a black screen. I brought it into UbreakIfix first thing in the morning and they had it fixed by lunch time. Works even better than before. I absolutely was not expecting them to be open during labor day, but they were. They saved me so much hassle by getting the fix done so quickly. Everyone on staff was extremely friendly and professional, even when an entitled customer decided to be rude toward them (on labor day, no less) A word to the wise: If you're trying to get your device fixed ASAP, show up as early as possible. An appointment doesn't guarantee that you'll skip the line or be seen that same day. I'm very satisfied with how they serviced/fixed my device and will be returning to them if I ever have issues in the future. read more

My experience was an absolute joke. Google specified this location as one to go to for a warranty covered same-day repair. Their own website also says no appointment necessary. Upon arrival I was told I would have to pay $25 to get an appointment immediately, otherwise I would have to come back next week. When I told them I wasn't interested in paying for a free repair and they advertised same-day repair without an appointment they said the next time I come in the next guy might determine the repair wasn't in warranty, so I should just pay the $25 now. I refused and got the appointment for next week. Upon arriving for my appointment they didn't have the part to fix my phone. What was the point of making the appointment? The short story: They broke my phone worse than it was, but in the end made it right. The long story: First they are the only Samsung certified repair facility in the area. So that's why I chose them. Had a Samsung galaxy S9+ with a broken screen. Made an appointment online, and was excited that they offer "while you wait" repairs. Got there, dropped off my phone, got all checked in. Was handed my receipt and I asked "what time should I be back?" And was told they are booked for about 2 days out. So much for same day. Two days later I hadn't heard anything from them. I called and they said "your phone is unrepairable" come by to pick it up. When I got there they explained that they repaired my phone and during the Samsung "exit criteria" the loud speaker failed, they diagnosed it as a motherboard failure. So they put the old broken screen back on and deemed it unrepairable. Because of Samsung's policy they couldn't give me my phone back with a working screen but a broken speaker. I am 100% sure the loud speaker was working when I dropped it off. I asked the guy at the register if they could fix it or help me out in anyway. He said they can't fix it, and its unrepairable. So I asked to speak to his manager and ended up speaking to the shift lead. The shift lead said there is no way to prove that they broke it, it could have been broken when I came in. I told him I was sure it wasn't broken as I was using the speaker phone the day before. I asked if there was any way he could make it right, he offered 10% a motherboard replacement of $500 (more than double what the phone was worth). After pleading with the shift lead for another 5 minutes I finally asked the shift lead if there was someone at corporate I could speak to. He gave me a card with the store managers (who was in San Diego) email on it and told me to contact that guy. I sent a mail explaining the situation and the manager offered to buy me a refurbished phone. Two weeks later my refurbished phone arrived. So in the end 3 out of 5 stars. I knock off two stars because I shouldn't have had to argue my case with three different people. They should have immediately owned up to their mistake and called the store manager for approval to order me a replacement device. I do appreciate that throughout the whole experience everyone was kind and courteous to me, everything remained professional. read more

This is my second experience with uBreakIFix and once again, it was absolutely horrible. This company is probably the main reason I will never buy a Google phone again since they're the only authorized store to fix Pixel phones. I took my phone in for issues with the charging and microphone. Initially they cleaned my charging port, and gave me my phone back within 10 minutes saying that it's fixed and that I should just sell the phone as is because the mic is broken. I did not ask for this advice on selling the phone - I came here for a fix. Regardless, within 10 minutes of leaving the store, the charging wasn't working again, so I drove back and dropped the phone off. Then I get a call several hours later saying that they are not able to fix the phone because of water damage. Putting aside the phone is meant to be IP68 rated and I've never swam with my phone, uBreakIFix said they will not repair my phone because of the water damage. This to me made ZERO sense since right at front they had an ad for insurance that guarantees repair from liquid damage. What? I pointed this out and the staff were just speechless. Then as I get my phone back, I noticed that they didn't reseal my phone back properly. It was a crappy job, it was not aligned to the phone at all and I could literally put my fingernail through the back plate of the phone. Pixels are sealed completely and you're not supposed to be able to access the inside of the phone. The last time I took my Pixel phone into UBreakIFix, it was this exact same issue and I had to bring my phone back multiple times to have them fix it until they ultimately just had the phone replaced. This time, I was not going to have the same problem! I had them reseal it properly and I'm hoping I never have to go back. Now, all I'm asking them for is a letter of some sort to state that they will not repair my phone for my insurance company, and they are even refusing to even do that. Honestly, this company is useless and I literally have no desire to ever buy a Pixel phone again solely because of the horrible service. read more

This is an update from the last miserable experience that I had the last time I was here. Yes, I cracked my screen and I needed to have it repaired. With VZW, I was given a choice of having a phone sent to me or getting the screen replaced at a local facility. U Break I Fix is affiliated with Assurion and this is one of the places they will send you for a quick repair. The last time it was the paperwork and workmanship that made things not sit well with me. This time I called in advance and spoke to Addison. She reviewed the paperwork and said everything was in order. I dropped off my phone and before I left she brought out and double-checked that all parts and colors were correct. I came back at the prescribed time and everything worked like a charm. After talking to Addison I found out that she works for Assurion and got some of the upcoming store locations. Repairing is quick and easy and their is no having to transfer anything from one phone to another. She has restored my faith in this location and the workmanship and communication that is expected. The sad part is that she is not staying at the Bellevue location but going to manage the new West Seattle Assurion store. I hope the Bellevue location keeps up the great workmanship and service that I experienced this time. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I felt like the Yelp score for this business was too low. The screen on my 3 month old S21 Ultra suddenly failed this morning while it was in my hands. It appeared that everything worked but the screen was black. Rebooting, etc didn't help. I brought it in around noon and it was all fixed the same day. My data was still on the phone too. Hopefully they will soon be able to relax the policy of masks required and 1 person allowed at a time in the store after the CDC today said that vaccinated people don't need to wear masks in most places. read more

I spent $17 per month for over a year to insure my iphone13 through Verizon. The screen got scratched up so I paid for the $30 screen replacement only to have my phone returned in the same condition I sent it because there was a slight ding on the back. They said that if the back is broken I have to pay $250 deductible to get a replacement. But the back isn't broken- it won't effect the screen replacement- they just refuse to touch it without me paying the full deductible. I feel completely ripped off and like they are using this done as an excuse to get more money. I will not be using Asurion on any of my future devices. (Note- I took the phone to a local screen repair guy who stated the ding would not be an issue in replacing the screen. But he charges $100 for a new screen and I can't use the insurance money to cover it) read more

I'm impressed. Brought one of my son's phones in as it failed to recognize the sim card, despite me getting a new sim card for it. They did diagnostics and discovered the motherboard was bad. They worked with Google and got it fixed under warranty, and so far the phone is fine. read more

I called to get the estimates on a system fan replacement for a laptop. I was told to bring the laptop in and then they send me the estimates. When I brought the laptop, I was informed that they are not providing the written estimates unless they do the repair and I must wait for 3+ days for that. It took two trips to the store - 30 minutes each way, so that's two hours of driving - to get my phone mostly back to the way it should be. The first tech did her best and I really appreciate that, but she was unable to align the fingerprint sensor properly which meant a second trip back to the store the next day. What was supposed to be "10 minute fix" that I called ahead on turned into a 30 minute wait (which made me late to another appointment), and while the sensor was properly aligned, now the power button has a bit of a wiggle and there's black gunk along the sides of the phone that I'm working to clean off. For a $300+ repair (nearly half the price of the phone!) at a shop that Google relies on for authorized repairs, I am disappointed in the end result and the time I had to spend getting a working phone again. read more

Once I arrived, the agent said that they don't use genuine parts nor do they guarantee the functionality after replacement. So... a crap shoot for $229 plus tax. When you enter a place of business you don't expect to be treated like the only customer in the world but Ubreakifix certainly made me feel like the most important person. I had smoke and flames coming out of my HP Pavillion charging port at home and brought it in after making a quick call for availability. Eric and Brian were very helpful not only on the phone but in person. Eric gave me my options best case scenario and worst case. Since this was a time sensitive issue I dropped off the laptop and was surprised to hear Eric went right to work on it. My phone was destroyed while at uBreakiFix, and they will do nothing to repair the damage they did. After my phone's battery life had become significantly shorter over the life of the phone, I was directed to uBreakiFix by my cell phone provider to get a new battery installed. After handing over a fully functional phone, I was told to come back in 4 hours. After 4 hours it still wasn't ready and I was told that it would be ready in another hour and a half. When I returned, the front desk person charged me for the replacement battery, retrieved my phone from the back and sent me on my way. When I looked at the phone it was off, so I attempted to turn it back on only to find that the phone was stuck at an error in the bootloader and would not power on. I asked the front desk person, who verified that it should not be stuck there and informed me that if I left it overnight they would fix it. The next day, they called to inform me that they would not fix the phone and I could pick up my now bricked phone anytime. I told them that the phone was unusable and this was not an acceptable solution, and was informed that the only thing I could do is call the corporate number. After calling the corporate number and informing them that I had logs from both my cell phone provider and several applications that were running on the phone that it was fully functional the entire time that it was in their possession they told me there was nothing they could do. They then left a voicemail on my wife's phone informing me that they were ordering parts to repair my phone and they would need at least a week, but then would be returning a functional phone to me. This was an inconvenience, but I was happy that they were going to remedy the damage they had done. Several days later, they called my wife again to notify us that the phone was ready to be picked up. When my wife inquired what they had done to fix it, they informed her that they were not going to fix it at all and we could come pick up the bricked phone. I'm sure some of their work happens without incident but be aware that if they destroy your phone while it is in their possession, they will do nothing to stand behind their work (despite their Repair Terms and Conditions stating otherwise). I would HIGHLY recommend sending in your phone to a reputable repair shop instead of leaving it with uBreakiFix. read more

M=Me E=Employee E "Are you dropping off or picking up?" M "Dropping off" E "We are not accepting drop offs today because we are doing inventory" M "But I have a appointment for drop off 12:00" E "Did you make the appointment online?" M "Yes" E "The online appointment system does not work and we cannot honor appointments made there" M "OK so can I leave the device and come back tomorrow?" E "No" M "Can I make another appointment now?" E "No" M "What do you recommend then?" E "Come back early any day except Sunday M "Will that guarantee that I get the phone repaired?" E "No its first come first served and there may be a backlog" M "So the recommendation is to make the 1h round trip on the chance that I can get the phone in for repair on that day? E "Yes" At this point I asked to speak with the manager, manager was not onsite and I was told that I also could not call him directly. At this point I gave up and left I did notice that there was a group of people waiting in line behind me and the employee proceeded to basically blow all of them off as well. I don't know how many of them had appointments but they all looked pissed as well for driving there only to be told that basically nothing was going to happen there today and that all their appointments had been canceled. I had a battery replacement for a samsung phone scheduled over a two hour window. When i was handing in the phone they told me they would call me in about an hour to notify me when the phone would be ready. Then another guy from the back came up front and the 1hr became 2 -3 hours and the lady who had first committed to 1 hr completely disowned her story. Also they wanted my device password to perform some tests and it took some cajoling to explain that I couldn't let them just have my device password and they agree to do the testing in my presence as some kind of a special one off. I cannot speak to the quality of work, however, their customer service is terrible and the worst I have ever seen from a service provider. I have experienced this first hand through a friend. The communication is terrible meaning they won't own or tell you if there is an issue on their end so you may surprisingly end up without your device for more days than expected. Especially their store manager Brian did not understand what it means to communicate with customers properly. Truly a waste of time taking your device there. I would give 0 stars if I could. I want to start off by saying that I literally downloaded Yelp just to write this, if that says anything. I brought my phone here for a cracked screen repair and it was a complete waste of time. After waiting around for 4 hours, I gave them a call to find out how much longer. They claimed that Apple was down, and they couldn't finish the repair. They wanted me to wait 2 more days to get my phone, but I couldn't because of work. They be ruggedly agreed to do a reverse and put the old screen back on it and wanted me to wait another 4 hours for this. This place lacks integrity and responds with a defensive attitude when you ask normal questions. I wouldn't recommend for anyone to trust this place. This has already been escalated within the company, but I want to warn everyone on here too. Felt like joining the rest of the 1 stars! They are listed as a authorized repair center for Samsung, so I made an appt for 5:30, which was after my work day. I get there and was told that they can not fix it, unless I leave my phone overnight, as after 5 they do not do repairs. First why be able to make an appointment without that being said in the first place. We made a new appointment for Saturday first thing so that they would not have other devices in front of mine. My first appointment was Tuesday night so that is several days with a black line through my Z fold 4, but it is still useable. Get there Saturday morning at 10 when they open was told that there was nothing left over from the night before, but if people come in needing help then they will help them so it could take a couple of hours or more but that they will call me when it is completed. I don't live close, but work close to there (that is why I picked them) so I wasn't going to go home and then have to drive back. My family and I found somethings to do to keep us busy. At 2:30 I still had not heard from them so I called. The person who answered, not the one doing the repair, told me the replacement part was faulty and they had to order a new one, but that it would not fix my problem so I need to go through Samsung directly. The guy working on my phone was at lunch and that when he got back he would start the process of removing the faulty replacement part and putting my broken part back on the phone, so it would be at the least a couple of more hours. I decided to go home and come back and asked, again, for a call when it was completed. At 5:30 not hearing from them I called and the person who was working on my phone told me it just was completed and I could come pick up my phone. That they were ordering a replacement part that would be in in 7-10 days and at that time I could bring my phone back to be fixed. DO NOT USE this place! I know I will not be using them and instead have a new appointment with a different company all together read more

Worst experience ever and will never come back, atleast to the 13238 NE 20th St. Suite 350, Bellevue, WA 98005 location. Scheduled an appt for in-person repair so that I can wait and get the repair (back case replacement) done. After 2 hours of waiting, when I went to collect the device, I was told that the repair is not done and was asked to leave the device or collect end of day or reschedule. The representative did not have any empathy towards my waiting or wasted time. I had no choice but to come back at the end of the day. I waited more than 30 mins on line to pick up my device while the only person on the front desk was chit chatting and lesiruily working with others in from of line. There was another employee there in front who was just standing and doing nothing. When asked if he could.help people, he was dismissive and continued to be there. Brought in for a screen replacement. Got my phone back with smudges on the camera lens. Brought it back and they damaged the camera. Brought it back again and they damaged the other camera. Brought it back again and now the back cover is chipped I'm assuming from prying. Back cover also not straight or sticking to body of phone. Seems they re used the adhesive several times during this whole process causing the back cover to fall off in my pocket. I definitely don't want to bring it back to this place after they completely ruined my phone and cost me several days without a device. I'm not sure what Samsung does to train these supposed certified technicians, but I highly recommend you stay away from this place if you want your phone working properly. Got a quote (over the phone, but for the specific store) of $219 to replace a Galaxy S9 screen, and scheduled a 2 hr appointment. When I arrived, they said that they can't work on the phone until 2 days later, and gave me a different price $249. I came back 2 days later to leave the phone, and again, got a different quote of $259. No one was accountable or really cared about the price differences. I left the phone and they told me that it'll be ready around 2pm. At 3:30pm, after I've heard nothing, I contacted the store to ask about the progress and they told me that they are working on it. Later, they called and told me that one of the Samsung camera tests doesn't pass, and they offered to try to replace the camera "for half price" ($45 instead of $90). At that point, I was so disappointed with the service, that I asked to put everything back as it was, and I came back to take the phone and fix it somewhere else. read more

I was referred to this ubreakifix from HP support for my HP Envy computer. Who stated they could save the personal files on the computer from my photography business. The nearest location was on Cox Rd approx. 30min from me. Initially, when I called and told them about the referral from HP they stated they are not affiliated with HP at all. Ubreakifix stated repair could be done in 1-3 days. It took closer to 2 weeks. And the personal files were destroyed and not recovered. I had a 1TB SSD and 3TB capacity on the computer. They asked if I would accept 256GB HD for some reason. I did accept 1TB HD thinking that I would still have 3TB capacity/storage like I had originally...instead it was replaced with 3GB storage. When I went to complain and have it corrected they said this is what I accepted. The phone number on their business card has not worked in over a week. I had to drive the 30min just to talk to someone. Idk if it is just this location or all of them. This business is dishonest and unreliable. read more

I took my mother in laws phone here for a new screen. They said it should be finished by the end of the day. I had planned to pick up the phone the following day. They called later the first day and said they thought they had a defective replacement screen because now the phone wouldn't turn on. They ordered a part and hoped it would arrive in the next few days. This was disappointing since my MIL was leaving soon for home a few states away, but understandable. Then radio silence for 3-4 days until I called and finally got the update the parts were in and a tech was going to start working the new new screen. The next call was to tell us that the phone was bricked due to water damage and there was nothing they could do to fix it. Well, that's just great. I give you a fully functional phone with a broken screen and a week later you give me back a brick. Never again, don't waste your time with these second rate repair shops. After a long conversation with the manager, Eric, he tried to stuff the blame off on Apple and offered no reasonable fix. I asked why the original tech didn't detect the water damage and he threw that employee under the bus, but then insisted that this bad tech didn't break the completely functional phone. Kinda hard to believe that to be honest. Then he offered a discount on any phone I'd bring in in the future, saying he'd email me the following day... well, still waiting in the email, Eric only 3 weeks later. Bottom line, they broke a functional phone while trying to do their signature operation, fixing a broken screen. Terrible customer service, terrible outcome, and no remorse or attempt to make it right. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

My Samsung Note20 Ultra screen went black two days ago. I called UBreakiFix this morning and confirmed that this was an issue they have seen and fixed before. They had the parts needed in stock and were able to fix everything in just a few hours. Everything was covered under warranty, and the process was super easy. Despite a scheduled appointment I booked a week ago, showed up at the store today and was told they aren't accepting game consoles because they're too backed up.
