There are maybe five or six tables inside and the place is quite clean with comfortable seating. We were given our menus to order from and the menu is very extensive with tons of options with images for nearly everything which helps a lot in deciding what to get. I opted for their mango milk pudding dessert which was pretty good overall. It was not too sweet and pretty light overall. The milk pudding underneath was silky and delicious. I like this place for the variety of hot and cold desserts and the amount of flavor variations they offer for each. Quality wise id say they do everything fine, perhaps not standout in any one option but again, it's your one stop shop for anything you're craving. I liked the matcha mochi egg waffle, nice earthy matcha flavor and the mochi added a fun chewiness to each piece. The milk custard was pretty standard, it was comforting on a cold day. Asian inspired desserts galore! I love this unique spot that was open on lunar new year. This is a popular cafe, so it may be hard to grab a seat, but they have an expansive menu including bingsoo. I tried the injeolmi flavor that reminds me a bit of kinako, which I love the nuttiness! The recommended topping was mixed nuts but I was sharing with me partner with an allergy and they were accommodating with us switching to mango instead. A cute and small dessert shop located in Oakland's Chinatown. They have lots of Chinese sweets from tangyuan, mango milk custard, egg waffles, and even bingsoo. I got the mango milk custard, priced at less than $6. I never had this before but really enjoyed it. I only had mango pudding before. There was a mango layer above the milk custard, it's very delicious. It wasn't that heavy of a dessert either. It is your average milk tea place with the exception of serving various desserts such as Taiwanese Shaved Ice desserts & street style type snacks. Most places only have the fresh mango and condensed milk, but this one has so much more! The second time I came, we got the black tea bingsoo. Mango is still my favorite but the black tea is unique. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. There are so many delicious options to choose from and the dishes are all super affordable. The people taking my order were attentive and nice. The menus include high quality photos of the dishes so you know exactly what you're ordering. The place isn't very big but I've never had to wait for a table; it probably just depends on when you go. Pleasantly surprised at what a cute hidden gem this dessert cafe is. Tucked away in the heart of Oakland Chinatown, this cafe definitely looks inconspicuous on the outside, but offers such a wide variety of authentic Asian desserts that's comparable in quality and variety (and much cheaper!) compared to similar and larger dessert chains like Black Ball, Sweethoney, Sul n Bean, and Meet Fresh. Here's what I tried: Macaroon egg puff with ice cream: definitely my favorite dessert that I tried, and I loved how warm and freshly made the egg puff was. I definitely wish I could have customized the ice cream and macaroon, but the flavors chosen (vanilla ice cream, coffee macaroon) melded beautifully together with the fresh fruit, frosted cornflakes, and egg puff. Highly recommend getting this if you're unsure what to get from their extensive menu! Mango sago bingsoo: definitely a really unique flavor, as you don't see sago often in the United States. They use quite a bit of fresh mango to make this dessert, but unfortunately, mangoes are not in season right now and this dessert ended up coming across as a bit tasteless. Nevertheless, highly recommend once summer hits and mangoes are ripe/in-season! Lava cake with ice cream: surprised to see such an Americanized dish on the menu, and I definitely was impressed by how warm, gooey, and freshly baked the cake was. I did find this dessert a bit rich for my personal liking, but highly recommend if you're into chocolate! I also tried their UC mango, passion fruit, and strawberry drinks, which reminded me of refreshing fruity lemonades. What a way to end the night with a night cap. Came here at the right time. We got the last booth and ordered a bunch of desserts for us to all share. My boys got the usual drinks with pearl and my chicas got the delicious desserts to eat. What a great hidden gem of you want to satisfy your sweet tooth or to get some brownie points for your loved one. Parking is a bit sketch so don't leave anything in your car for a break-in. IF you're craving any type of asian dessert, this is the spot for you. Their menu is huge and has so many options that I had such a hard time deciding what to get. I ordered the black sesame and red bean soup with taro balls and shared the matcha mochi egg puff with some friends. The black sesame flavor wasn't too strong, but I was eager to try it since I never really find just that soup anywhere. The red bean was good, and the taro balls were also nice and chewy. It was good, but nothing too spectacular. I will say though that the matcha egg puffs are a must get. The matcha flavor is so strong, and with the chewy mochi inside made for a great texture and eating experience. The inside isn't too big but we had no problem getting a table since we came at a bit of an odd time.
