After recycling several guitar boxes from purchases, I needed three more to send a collection to be sold. The ONLY source I could find was Uline in three sizes. You could not order three boxes. Uline forces you to purchase 5 at a cost near $60. I understand the owner of Uline needs to fund Trump corruption but doing so at my expense was distasteful. The fact the owner of Uline has several billionaire mansions is compounded by the control and poor pay he has over Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin employees made things much worse worse. Since 1875, no one in the Uileihn family lived below extreme wealth after they inherited Milwaukee's Schlitz Brewing Company. Uline's product quality has been steadily getting worse over the years. From bags that won't stay closed, to boxes that I can't tape properly because the seems are glued at an angle or way out from the corner. Even the tape and packing paper have gotten thinner. I'm going to include a picture of an old roll of paper from about a year ago, and a new one I just bought. The roll weights about half the weight now. This means I have to use twice as much paper to pack the same product as I did before. Now the boxes are a different material. They are very corse feeling and tape doesn't stick to them. This makes making up boxes take so much longer and I have to use more tape. read more

After being a customer of Uline for several years now, Uline failed to ship a cart that I had ordered per my shipping selections that I had purchased. Its failure to arrive on time made it unusable. Uline's word salad explanation was that I had an "automatic setting in my account that required appointment delivieries which added an extra day." I never had made this selection on my account and it contradicts all the selections I made when I purchased the cart as well as the emails and receipts from the purchase. I have always been fond of Uline and how they run an extremely efficient business. I ordered three double-rail garment racks from them yesterday and they were delivered to me this morning. They are fast and prompt. I'm also a fan of theirs because they are family-owned and I prefer to spend my dollars and help small businesses. The only thing is that I wish the delivery team would have rung my bell, so that they could have delivered them into my garage. Now, I have the arduous task of taking them in myself and I can't due to an injury. I'll wait for my neighbors to come home tonight and I'll ask for their assistance. Very poor customer service, they sent us a wrong item and asked us to pay $60 more for shipping charges to get the correct one.

Their ads kept popping up, so we tried them. Huge and expensive mistake. 80% of the boxes wouldn't close. We lost a lot of tape putting the bottoms together, and instead of offering to immediately send replacements, they wouldn't even consider it or consider a refund until the product returned to their warehouse. Here's the issue: 1) These are heavy items, so when they try to ship them, the poor packaging (usually just cling wrap for the rails, and a thin layer of cardboard for the shelves) ends up leaving the rails and shelves damaged. Also, it's expensive to ship. I'm like two hours away, and it's usually $100-$200 for shipping. 2) I used to simply go to their warehouse for pickup to solve that problem, but they seem to have eliminated that option. Order #66933944 Order Date: 04/22/2022 Product Ordered: Shipping Boxes I asked customer service to schedule my delivery, they said the freight company would call me tomorrow to schedule a drop off time. The freight company only had one two hour time frame available everyday from 10-1 for my area. No other time slots were allowed, ever. This customer service error caused not only an inconvenience to have someone home at the most inconvenient time of the day but it also delayed my order four days since they could not deliver on the day they promised. Next, I asked for a refund on my freight costs in the amount of $53.52 since this impacted me quite a bit. Two customer services agents Joshua W. and Akshaya S. promised the refund would be on my account by 05/02/2022. It is now 05/04/2022 and there is no refund. I had to call my credit card company to confirm, they did, and now I am disputing the transactions due to terrible customer service, lying, and missing my freight deadline. I will definitely use this company again because all my stuff is going to be free as long as they keep up this level of awful service. I normally loved U Line. But I purchased 2 office task chairs exactly one year ago and one of them has fallen apart. Totally a bait and switch as they said it was a great buy and solid construction. For a chair that I paid $225, this is really unacceptable. When I called U Line and even spoke to a manager their policy is that the chairs only have a 30 day warranty and they refused to honor this defect. I am rethinking all of my purchases from now on as they do not stand behind their product. We are 10 min away and have our own truck. Uline does not allow will call orders. Their delivery rate is rather high. For returns you can not drop off you must ship ups which is high too. Do not buy the vinyl gloves! They are full of grease. like axle grease and it says they are safe for food and non contaminated. I had chunks of grease come out of each box.
