I had high hopes for this newer location because of the size but walking around almost feels like a maze. The layout is very random and kinda hard to find things. I was greated but never once asked if I needed help. There were so many employees but they all seemed busy socializing with themselves and I had to interrupt their conversation just to get a perfume that was locked up. I much prefer the City of Walnut location. They are much more helpful and the store layout makes much more sense there. read more

This is the best Ulta customer service I've ever experienced. I have been here on 3 separate occasions and each time a sales associate literally drops what they are doing to help me. Today I had 3 sales associates help me and I think one was a manager. Literally each one was swatching products/colors on their own hands for me and checking stock in the back. I was so grateful for the helpful service because I wasn't feeling well today and I literally looked like I walked in with my pjs on. Whoever manages this location deserves a raise.! read more

I had a very sad and disappointing experience today. I went to buy some Tree Hut products. And as one does I was smelling and spraying the body sprays. The woman (I'm assuming store mgr) walks into the aisle and goes "MA'AM DO YOU NEED HELP FINDING ANYTHING ?!" Super loud Me and the other woman in the aisle turn around and stare at her and then me and the woman stare at each other shocked . And I'm just "no, I'm okay " and go back to smelling the body washes. The mgr stays in the aisle acting like she's fixing the items on the rack behind me even after her employee comes to ask her a question. And then goes around the other side of the aisle directly behind where I'm standing and then after rearranging some items walks away. I gave the benefit of the doubt. I have social anxiety and maybe I was assuming incorrectly that I'm being watched . I go around the store and notice that mgr. was hanging around in the center of the store watching me as I moved around. She even walked behind me at one point to go get to the make up chair area. then I go back to the same aisle to make sure they didn't have the body cream for the tree hut scrub I was buying. Because it was really low stock and I was hoping that it was hidden behind something else. As soon as I walk into the aisle again a different girl comes up to me and same thing "EXCUSE ME MA'AM DO YOU NEED HELP FINDING ANYTHING?!" I'm like "what? No, thank you I'm okay?..." I became really flustered and I was mumbling "I'm sorry does it look like...nvm?" And I just went to the register to check out. The mgr and the girl go to the registers but aren't doing anything because there are 3 girls at the registers already. Very sweet cashier helps me out and then I just leave. But I left feeling so awful. I was wearing a sweater in the heat but I work at a hospital and I am always cold. That's the only thing I could see them finding suspicious about me. It was very disheartening. I was hoping to relax after a day of work and left never wanting to visit this store again. It's a shame because it's the closest one to my home. read more

I was so incredibly nervous when I came to my makeup appointment. Mainly because I've never had my makeup professionally done. Also, I'm big on customer service. I was worried I wouldn't be talked to due to other places I've been to where they would completely ignore me when I ask for help. Not this place! Denisha (an amazing eyebrow consultant) and Candice (an amazing makeup professional) made me feel so safe and made me feel included. My insecurities weren't any flaws to them. Xitlaly, Vicki, and Kate were absolutely amazing. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help but these three were wonderful. They helped me try a bunch of different foundations, bronzer, etc and were so patient with me. They didn't pressure me to buy anything but they did go out of their way to show me different colors, shades, brands so that I could make the best decision for myself!! Usually the workers at Ulta don't welcome me or ask if I need anything so this was quite refreshing read more

I went to this store today, Dec 10 for the first time. I was so excited bec I love Ulta and was happy to see that there is now finally one in my neighborhood. However, my excitement was immediately gone when I witnessed 2 ladies working in the store having a confrontation by the entrance door. It was so unprofessional. They could have stepped out to talk about it instead of having their confrontation inside the store, let alone, entrance door, where customers can clearly see and hear them as soon as you walked in. It was just a poor representation of this company. I got so uncomfortable, I felt no other choice but to leave so I did. They were too busy with their own issues that they did not even care about the customers around them. Clearly, they only cared about themselves, not the customers, not Ulta. Sad. read more

I was excited to check out the new store and use a promotional coupon, but I was appalled by my experience dealing with the lead cashier named Merina. My friend and I were waiting in line because there was a person, who I thought was a customer, in front of us looking through items at the check out line. Turns out it was an employee organizing merchandise. Despite Merina clearly seeing us waiting behind this person, she never asked us to step up to the register. This whole time we were the only customers in store. Merina had a subtle unpleasant attitude from the get go, never greeted us when we went to check out, and when she asked for my phone number to look up my account, she was not able to find it. Turns out the system in this store was not up to date and used my old number and email on file. It took my a few minutes to pull up my account number online, and while I was struggling with this process on my phone, Merina was having a loud conversation with her co-workers, saying phrases like "it's giving rude"; I couldn't tell if that was for my friend and I to hear. I was very frustrated at this point, and expressed my thoughts by telling her how bad customer service was considering it's a brand new store. Instead of acknowledging my experience or apologizing, Merina talked back saying "why, becuase I couldn't find your account in the beginning?" with a tiny chuckle. I said she was rude to me from the beginning, and she sarcastically said something along the lines of "I'm sorry you felt that way" without looking up while handing over my shopping bag. This is the short version of what happened, but I hope nobody else experiences this unpleasantness when they shop here. I will not visit this location again. read more

WHERE IS EVERYTHING??? My second try here and everything I choose from the front tester and like, is empty in the stock behind it. My first try here I needed a certain color eyeliner, the associate took me to 5 different brands before we just ordered one online. After having a pleasant experience with online drive up ordering I decided one day to go in to test out shades for foundation. No one greets you when you walk in and there were no employees in sight I see a guy with a headset walking by and i asked if I could get some help samples he said they don't do that so i asked if i could get help with shade matching. He groaned and said I'm going on my lunch I apologized and said I'll look for someone else. He said its ok I'll have someone come help. He called out to some other lady that said I'll be right over, I told him thank you I'll wait for her here. I waited about 10 minutes and no one ever came! I got fed up and decided to just go to the mall instead, as I am walking out I look and see the lady that was supposed to come help standing just a few feet from me stocking. She made eye contact so I gave her a look and just walked out. The customer service here is non existent, never coming here again. read more

Terrible customer service! This store is new but apparently the only customer service their lead cashier Merina knows is rudeness, indifference in helping customers, and being catty with her colleagues. I felt like I walked into a toxic environment. I do not recommend this store to anyone. When my friend called out Merina's rude customer care during checkout, Merina scoffed back, "Why? Because I couldn't find your account?!" No, Merina, we understood you may not have been able to pull up my friend's account because your system is new, and the accounts that were in your system were clearly outdated. You still have to be welcoming, pleasant and understanding with us, the customers. This was such an irritating and unpleasant experience. Of note, the toxicity in the staff might go beyond the cashier. Another colleague walked to the cash register area laughing to Merina "I know your hearts must skip a beat when you guys see me! I just know that!" Why is that something to laugh out loud at your colleague and in front of customers? Also, when my friend was looking for her account number in her email since Merina couldn't find her account through my friend's current phone number, Merina's colleagues were joking and stating out loud "it's giving rude!" I don't know who that was directed to. My friend and I were pleasant with them and had no interaction with them when were shopping before checking out. All I can deduce from this encounter on Saturday night of the Black Friday weekend is that this is a toxic work environment which resulted in extremely poor customer care for my friend and me. I'm never shopping at Ulta again and will only buy directly from the sellers instead of Ulta online or in store. "It's giving rude!" Your customer care is giving rude. read more

I'm hoping this store turns things around, because many people are really happy Ulta opened here. The 3 times I've come in everything seems to be picked through. Fragrance always seems to be a mess and the travel spray area always looks really unkept. It always looks like they got robbed or something. I happened to show up this past Friday when they opened, it was a few minutes past opening and employees were banging on the door for someone to open up inside. It took a while for whoever was inside to come to the door. It seems that the store is still super understaffed and I can never tell who works there. It's also really hard to get someone to help you out with locked items like fragrance. It's a few days till Valentine's Day and the stock looks like nothing has changed since Christmas. I have hope that things will improve, hopefully Ulta will improve on filling up the store with a much more polished and professional staff. read more

I'd leave 0 stars if I could. Came in here one time to pick up some sunscreen and face masks. I'm with my two kids and they picked up some hello kitty face masks that were fairly cheap so I didn't think much about it. I get to the cashier to pay and a lady with Blonde hair, middle aged who was working there decides to take a look at the items I wanted to purchase and begins to tell me how I shouldn't let my kids put masks on their faces because the hyaluronic acid in it with a condescending tone. She makes a joke about it and says "I wouldn't even put this on my face" and the entire line of people behind me begin laughing along with her. At this point I just want to get out of the store. I take my items and leave. I would've appreciated if she brought me to the side to educate me on it but I felt so ashamed. Ulta you shouldn't hire such stuck up people. read more

Was told by everyone that Ulta charges cheaper for hair so I called and was told the price would be around $170 for highlights. Imelda did my hair and charged me for extra services I didn't ask for like a "gloss" and "olaplex treatment" which added up to $300. I never asked for these services and the only reason I went to Ulta was to not pay that much money.
