I really didn't like my experience at this Ulta. There were very few testers available, many products were out of stock, and there were very limited shade options for the makeup. I am extremely disappointed and upset by my experience at Ulta today. I came in to return the Volumizing Gloss Stick from Juvia's Place, and the employee helping me, Elle, made the entire interaction uncomfortable, judgmental, and humiliating. For context, this product is extremely soft and melts very easily. It also contains only .08 oz of product, which is significantly less than a standard lipstick product that usually contains around .13 oz. Instead of asking basic questions first, Elle immediately began inspecting the product and accused me of using half of it. I explained multiple times that I had literally purchased it the day before and had only tried it once. Her response was essentially, "Well, I can see there's not much product left." I was honestly shocked by how quickly she jumped to conclusions and treated me like I was trying to scam the store. What bothered me most was not the return policy itself, but her attitude and behavior toward me. Any reasonable employee should have first checked the purchase date and considered the nature and weight of the product before making accusations. Once I explained that I had only used it one time, her attitude should have changed immediately. Instead, she continued acting suspicious and dismissive, making me feel as though I was dishonest or doing something shady just for trying to return a defective or disappointing product. On top of that, she was not welcoming, friendly, or professional during the interaction. She barely smiled, did not make customers feel comfortable, and even made me stand there waiting while she stopped assisting me to do something else. The entire experience left me with lingering discomfort and embarrassment long after I left the store. I understand employees must follow store policies, but there is absolutely no excuse for making customers feel judged, accused, or disrespected. Customer service should never make someone feel like a criminal over a makeup return. I genuinely hope Elle receives additional customer service training so future customers are not treated the way I was today. read more

Yesterday I had a pick up order to pick up. I did not notice that an ID was required so i suggested to speak with a manager to work something out since i did go out there and didn't want to waste gas just to go back for an ID. I ended up showing a picture ID but the manager, Carla, was very rude she had a very nasty attitude and tone in her voice from the very start and proceeded to tell me my order wasn't ready after i placed it an hour ago. I waited a couple minutes and talked to another associate which was very kind and told her i placed my order an hour ago and it was still not ready. She told me it shouldn't take that long and gave me my order with no issues. I am now at the front and Carla approaches me and ACCUSES me of constantly coming to ulta to do pick up orders and not show an ID when this was MY FIRST TIME PLACING A PICK UP ORDER. I was in disbelief that she automatically ACCUSED me of doing this and i got very upset. As a manager Carla was VERY unprofessional i have never had an interaction like this. As a manager a customer should never be accused of doing an action without proof. I even offered to show proof of this being my first pick up order. I've came to this ulta plenty of times and i've never received this kind of customer service. This was an awful experience and behavior coming from a manager. read more

I don't have any Ulta-erior motive in reviewing this place. We are massive fans of Ulta makeup stores, partly because such beautiful people use them and partly because they have such a great selection. It's hard for them to score five stars because their prices are pretty high. But usually four stars is normal. The problem with this one though is that the service is lacking something. That's why I knocked one star off. I'm not sure how to define it. It seems to be a sort of suspicious nasty unfriendly, unnerving almost, and that's not a very good look for such a fancy and expensive store. read more

I went into the store to ask for a Jack Black brand item and was told they don't have anything of that brand in the store. I've shopped with Ulta enough to know she was mistaken, and most likely completely new at her job. I walk through store and find a full shelf of the brand's products. I proceeded to check out and tried to tell the clerk that one of the staff was misinformed in case she wanted to coach and educate the lady on what they provided. She completely ignored everything I was saying like she didn't care and wanted to get through the shift. I've had too many bad experiences with Ulta to stick with company further. I read more

I prefer this location over the one off 290 as this location is typically better stocked. I've never had an issue until my visit this week. I was extremely uncomfortable the entire visit as one employee with black curly hair and thick glasses was constantly hovering and following us around for the ENTIRE TIME we were on the higher end cosmetics side. If we moved two aisles down, she was in the next aisle randomly touching items and hovering over. Every time I looked up, there she was. Not once did she offer to help find anything or did we ask for her help. We finally moved to the other side of the store to get away since it was so uncomfortable. I wanted to look at a product dispenser that was boxed so I took it to checkout for an employee to watch me look and put it back in the box because I was scared if I tried in the aisle that I would be accused of theft. Very awkward situation that resulted in us bypassing more expensive products we wanted to purchase because we weren't comfortable enough to actually look or touch the samples. Ending on a higher note, the girls at checkout were a delight and the employees on the more affordable side were much more helpful and friendly. read more

Hair tool product display and actual product on shelf had two different prices. Display price was $5 cheaper than the shelf price listed. I don't know if this is an Ulta business practice or just my location. At the register you know it rang up at the higher price. I don't know if I would have usually noticed this or not. The manager was highly annoyed to change the price to display price. This could really add up in Ultas favor pretty damn quick. Stay away from Dawn In the hair salon. I came and got my hair done here by Dawn. I was supposed to get highlights and came here on a Sunday at 11 and didn't leave til nearly 6. I left with my hair dripping wet and knotted. I left and cried in my car because I wasn't sure if it was a racial issue or just lack of experience and didn't want to make her feel bad. Dawn is supposed to be the "expert stylist" whatever that means and supposed to know how to handle curly hair according to the description online but i would stay away unless you want to leave with a $260 bill and "highlights" that were done extremely lazily or maybe with her eyes closed not sure, it's that bad . my hair looks like she just put spots of bleach on it and the bleach was left on it for hours so my hair had never felt so dry. I really appreciated the warmth and professionalism I experienced at this location. Everyone I set my eyes on approached to assist me, although I was being pampered by Dina(Clinique Manager), it was still nice. Dina was a very kind and patient person. She even took time to calm my 1yr nephew, who fell in love with her. The general manager(Erica) even helped quote me a perfume price, and who was so friendly I didn't know she was management. The first employee said she'll find someone to help me because she wasn't familiar with what I was looking for, no one came. I was in another section the store, mind you I was already walking around trying to find it, when a different employee walks by and asks if we needed help so I explained it again and she started pointing to a different section in the store instead of walking with me as I didn't know the specific brand. After my third time of being in this store, I will NOT be back. I went in looking for Meaningful Beauty products. I wondering around for a long while. I finally got a salesperson, standing at a counter near the Clinique products and asked her where they were located. She indifferently said they don't carry them anymore that I would have to call other stores. She barely looked up to acknowledged me. I was dressed for yard work. So I did not look my best. I felt she judged me on my appearance and figured I could not afford to be in their store. I've been in sales, myself I would of at least suggested other similar products. She didn't bother. This is probably an okay place to get just a trim but otherwise, go somewhere with more experienced stylists. I went in, asked for a shoulder length bob and I came out with a very short chin length cut that was (I kid you not) 2 inches longer on one side. The sides were also choppy, not straight, and the back was even cut into a "V" shape. It was a pretty rough bob.. I ended up going to another salon the very next morning and had them fix it the best they could. I went into the store today about 30 mins after they opened. There were about 5 employees standing in the register area. Not one acknowledged that I came in. There was trash on the floors. I wanted to sample a perfume but not one was out on display. They were all shoved behind the glass. The makeup area was disgusting! There was broken eyeshadow everywhere. This location was really disorganized. I know it is the holidays but, folks can we please pick up stuff off the floor. I saw several staff members just walk right on by the "makeup" and other junk on the floor. The cosmetic section was very disorganized. Someone needs to spend some time and straighten that up (and it's going to take them a while) How are you supposed to sell your products if your customers can't find what they're looking for because the place is a disaster. Enough on that subject- I went to find the lip liner I came for and of course they only had one and it had been used! Not buying that!! So I just cut my losses and left. The store is your regular Ulta beauty. Like other ultas some of the staff is nice and helpful and some are not. There is one lady in the brow bar (I think..i forgot her name) that is very helpful and will help you find exactly what you're looking for. Also, I am extremely picky when I get my hair done more specifically cut. I needed a hair cut badly though so I made an appointment here since I don't have a hair dresser that I regularly go to. My appointment was with Kiara and she was amazing! She was nice and listened to what I wanted. I normally don't go with a vision or picture because I have long periods of where I don't cut my hair I normally just want it to be cut enough to be healthy. Kiara cut my hair enough to be healthy and gave it some much needed life. I think I just found my regular hair dresser! I can't wait to go back and have her help me change up the color! Hair salon service My appointment was at 2:45. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a gentleman and stated Abby would be right with me. Abby was with a guest and stated just needed to rinse the guests hair out it. Waited for 15mins and another employee came and greeted me. Abby then came out with her client and asked her to take care of me but she stated she had a client at 3pm. Abby then stated "the system let her make an appointment". Seeing as my appointment was an inconvenience for Abby I told it was fine and left. I would have understood if Abby would have told me there was error and would've taken me at a different time or not but she didn't. It was very unprofessional of her to have me waiting for 15mins and top of it discussing everything with her fellow peers about how this was an inconvenience to her. On 11/28/22, I bought 2 Smash box lip colors. Both were on sale. Few days later, I opened one of them to apply but there was no lip color in it. It was all dried up. I went back to exchange but the ladies at the cashier rudely told me that the item inside the box does not match with description on the box. Which clearly means that they were blaming me for using the whole lip color and bringing it back to exchange or I switched the item inside with something I already used. They both were looking at me like I was a thief. It made me feel really bad. I feel like not going back to this store next time. I felt very disrespectful and disappointed. Went to Copperfield Ulta on Monda, June 6, 2022 , I was not greeted when I walked in but I noticed the girl behind the counter by the doo. The same girl that did not greet me came out of nowhere and asked if I needed help. I told her I was looking for Donna Karan cologne. She assisted walked away and I continued shopping. Everywhere I turned there was an associate stalking me. especially the girl in white who I suspect was the manager. I was very disappointed with the level of customer service I received yesterday. After placing a store pickup order last week, I received a notification that it was ready. I had planned to personally pick it up because I thought I would have a break in my crazy work schedule on a certain day, which I found out later was the 5th and final day it would be available for pick-up. I had a work obligation that unfortunately came up on that same day and I knew I couldn't get there. I sent my husband, who has my same last name, to the store to get the items. The manager refused to let him pick up the order even after I called and verified my husband's identity (as well as mine) with her. She said it was against store policy. I asked her if I could add an alternate contact to my existing order? No. Could I extend the store pickup dates so I could pick it up myself the next day? No. She said the order would be cancelled and I would have to place it again. She suggested I try contacting Guest Services to see if there was anything they could do. I reached a phone rep who said she couldn't help me and then I asked to speak with a manager. She put me on hold for a while, and then claimed she couldn't reach a manager. I then called a different Ulta store to confirm that having my husband pick up the items was against store policy, and the manager said she would have done it without any issue. She, however, couldn't transfer the order to her own store to allow my husband to get it. So I tried Guest Services again. This time the rep claimed she was getting a manager for me, and then disconnected the call. I tried a third time. The rep connected me with a supervisor who said there was also nothing he could do. I have never had issues like this with any other store pick-ups. Instead of that option being a convenience, it has become the exact opposite of that. Not allowing someone to add an alternate pick-up contact for extenuating circumstances (and actually turning someone away after the person who placed the order verified their identity) is incredibly ridiculous. We're talking about 3 reasonably priced beauty products, not valuable jewels! Also, if that truly is store policy, why did the other store manager explain to me that it is at the manager's discretion whether they allow someone else to pick up an order on someone's behalf? Obviously that policy is not consistent across all stores. I really like Ulta and have been a Rewards members for a long time, but I will no longer be shopping at that particular store and I won't place any more pickup orders. On the slim chance I buy anything from Ulta again, it will be because other stores like Sephora were out of the products. I really think Ulta should allow the capability for orders to be edited to avoid these kind of issues. Had I been able to add an alternate pickup, extend the pickup date, or transfer it to another store, this issue could've easily been resolved. Until that happens, there is no point in dealing with them. read more

5 stars for Jordan in the salon. I've been going to her for several years and she is the best. SO talented and really cares about her clients. She's great at color and takes the time to really listen to what you want. I've never gotten so many compliments on my hair! I recommend her to everyone. She really is amazing at what she does! I have a legitimate fear that she will move away and I'll have let to find someone else. As for the rest of Ulta, it's average! Nothing super special :) you can find what you need but might be a good idea to do your own research as a lot of the employees don't seem super knowledgeable about products. Anyway, once again, Jordan is 100% worth it if you need a good hair stylist. read more
