Was running out of foundation and went to Ulta today and usually get the soft focus foundation but they had this one in the shade I use and it had a promotion you would get a brush, which I went ahead and grabbed. Once I got to the check out I asked why was I being charged for the brush she said we ran out of those. First come first served so we don't have it another lady comes and pulls out a tiny sample to shut me up. Here's what we can give you. What happened to customer service?? She threw it in my bag - as take this and shut up. Instead of saying I apologize. I have taken the sign down. Nope! You do not treat people like that. This was a trap to get the brush and charge you once you get to the check out. This was definitely not good customer service. read more

I went today, tried on some lip glosses. The lady came up to asked me the usual question. Said no thank you at first but then quickly changed my mind. I asked for lipgloss (morphe) . They didn't have it so I asked if I could try the one that wasn't open, since the tester wasn't there. She said yes, opened it and gave me a tiny bit to try on. I went to go try it on and it wasn't enough so I went back to see if I can get a bit more and I told her about it since it wasn't there no more. I stopped her and asked her, "if I can get a bit more, since it wasn't enough". She said, " oh look I have it on, on me you see." I was in fact a little shocked and walked away. She awkwardly said," okay I'll put it back". But after 40 min looking around I went back to try it again. Since I was annoyed at her response. The lip gloss wasn't there maybe someone else had gotten it maybe not. But why would she even say that, we weren't even the same color of skin, or hair. The lipgloss will obviously not look the same on each other. But the way she responded and her response was a bit shocking I know Ulta you can try foundation, etc. So why would I walk into it asking to see someone else swatching a lipgloss on themselves rather than on me? I did end up buying a few things, but no lipgloss. This was Saturday at 8pm. read more

Beyond frustrated and disappointed. I booked an appointment for hair for my daughter for homecoming two weeks in advance. I get a call today 3 days before the appointment canceling because the stylist the system allowed me to book does not do updos. I am not without an appointment and no one in town has anything available with only 3 days notice. Do not book online if you want to be sure to get what you booked. read more

I made an appt for an accent color. I colored my hair over 6 months prior so it was relatively healthy, mostly my natural color. I was there to make my money piece a little bolder and maybe add just a couple highlights. The first photos was my hair that morning. The second was the inspiration photo that I was told would be a partial color and $185... I agreed but made very clear I really didn't want much blonde and was very happy with my color I just wanted a little blonde. The Third photo was the over processed , over highlighted, toned mess that was then doused in brown to bring it down... but still it was over $200 to get the color and the products to try and save my hair that's now completely fried. read more

This location is normally much less busy than others in the area. However, that comes at a cost the inventory is not as vast. For example I have noticed that not as many brands are carried as the Alamo Ranch location. read more

Terrible employees. I placed a curbside order ahead of time because I did not want to go inside and be around folks. WELL this location does NOT have a curbside area. I called them when I arrived and after three minutes some girl finally answered. I was then asked where I was parked. I told them they was parked in the parking lot since y'all don't have curbside signs. Well the girl tells me I have to pull up in front of the building to get my items. She then has me on hold for ten minutes before telling me okay go to the front of the building with your car. So there I am, like a jerk and idiot, parked in front of the building on the FIRE LANE because that's where she told me to go unless I wanna get off. I felt like a jerk as people passed by in their vehicles. Of course they should be upset. I'm in their way of driving by. After another 10 minutes of waiting for my curbside items, the girl comes out. Totally rude. They also ask for an ID. Why???? Not even my bank or Wally asks for an ID . I had my ID but still. Y'all really want to ID someone over shampoo? How lame. ANYWAYS, I lasted about 30 minutes of just waiting there. This location definitely needs to improve with how they answer phone calls, how they interact with customers, and put a dang sign somewhere IN THE PARKING LOT so you don't have customers on the fire lane. read more

When I went to get my hair done the staff were all very nice but when it comes to my actual hair I am very disappointed. The reason I went in is because my roots were grown out a lot. I explained that I wanted my roots covered. I did not want you to be able to see them but the process to do the entire root was much more than expected based on the prices shown in their services section. I did an all over highlight to blend the hair but you can still clearly see my entire root and it was basically a waste of over $200. I only wear my hair up because I don't like that you can see my roots (super grown out all the way around). My hair cut seems a bit choppy instead of blending for my face frame. When I discussed my dissatisfaction with the stylist she just explained that I would need to pay again to get more highlights. I didn't do that because obviously that didn't cover the root at all. I think all of the staff were super sweet. I just absolutely don't like how I look so I am not confident enough to wear my hair down. I wish I could go somewhere else to get it done but I can't afford it because I spent the money I had for my hair here already. Just a sad situation overall. I just want to look nice. read more

They always have everything I could possibly need/want. All the employees have been super helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Someone in particular was Jesse who was able to explain the benefits of products and took his time to help me look for ones that would suit my skin. Thanks! One tip I would give though is maybe the sample products could be a bit cleaner, many of them were messy and old looking. However, I know that there's many customers who use them. This salon is not good, or maybe just the girl who did my hair. She gave me a chemical cut. She left my highlights in for so long that now my hair is just falling off every time I brush it or shower. This was my first time here and I only came here because my usual was booked/unavailable and I was desperate. Never again will I come here. The girl who did my hair, Melissa, was very sweet but she does not know how to highlight. Plus the cost here is insane, a highlight and base color on my roots was $200! No way. I had the pleasure of being helped by Miss Serena. She felt just like a friend! I was being "that" customer that night, and was being extremely indecisive with my choices at checkout. I wasn't even aware the store was closing at 7pm that night. Serena was so patient with me and even offered alternatives to me struggling to meet the $15 off $75 minimum. Not once did she try to rush me, nor did I get the feeling that she'd be irritated with me. She kindly offered the perfect combo of products that allowed me to use my coupon. I booked an appointment online for my hair. I booked with Valerie. She was great. I told her where to cut my hair(length wise), told her what two colors/type (rose gold balayage or blonde balayage) I'm interested in, told her to pick and do it how she thinks would look best. She did a great job. Everyone keeps telling me it's subtle enough to not look crazy but also looks great with my hair color. Between that and conversation, I really liked her. I was scared since I'm picky but she did awesome and I'll be returning to her once the time comes. read more

I am so upset with the salon! I made my appointment two weeks ago to have my friends daughter hair cut, I schedule with A lady name Emily, she was so nice. When I arrived at my appointment time 9/14 at 12:15, my friend and her daughter were already there waiting for me because I wanted her hair cut almost to my style of haircut. I didnt catch her name, but she was a heavy set white lady with glasses, long hair. She was not Emily, the heavy set lady told me she quit, and was no longer there. I was like ok, cool, maybe she can help me. I showed her a picture of the style I like and she said" I don't recommended this hair style for her hair texture " " her hair texture is fizzy and it will poof up " while touching her hair she looked annoyed by my request. Immediately my friend's daughter looked so discouraged by her remarks. THEN I felt the tension, I didn't set an appointment to hear her recommendation or opinions. I am a regular at ulta, and for the first time I felt uncomfortable! I immediately asked to speak to her manager and without hesitation she walked away to go fetch the manager, another white skinny lady came to up to us already looking annoyed, didnt bother to help and told me she didnt like the way I was talking to her, at this point I'm shocked because I'm confused, why wasnt anyone wanting to cut my friends daughter hair?! I literally had to ask " are you going to cut it or not? My friends daughter started to cry, the manager refused hair services to us. I am a Mexican, born and raised in San Antonio, I've never ever been treated like this ever!!! I am probably the most nicest person. Full of energy. I thought I was being pranked. It wasnt a prank. I felt so out of place for the first time in my life. I asked to speak with Someone else, I just couldn't believe the customer service! I spoke with Courtney she has colored hair, glasses. She apologized but I was already heated. I dont want to see those ladies there anymore. I want them gone. I feel like I was being discriminated against, and emotionally stress out.
