Came for a lamp inspection to bring a salvage title to operation for DMV. I had originally used another shop for brake & lamp but we failed the lamp and after ordering parts and installing, they were booked out a week or more for a re-inspection. The other shop also wanted $75 for the re-inspection AFTER paying them $250 for the initial brake/light. I msg'd the owner of Ultimate Auto Care via Yelp over the weekend and received a response on a Sunday. Was able to schedule a lamp inspection that Monday at Ultimate Auto Care for price for an initial inspection that was LESS than the "discounted" reinspection at the other ship. The best part is that it could be done today (which is my day off) and I was in and out within 10 minutes. The owner (Eric) of Ultimate Auto Care cut me a deal due to having paid a fortune to the other shop for the initial brake/light inspection. My car is now back on the road and certified as operational by DMV! As of the time of this review, Ultimate Auto Care doesn't charge for a reinspection - which is rare in this industry. Three things made this a 5 star experience: 1. Owner responded over the weekend, making it possible to get this completed on the following Monday which was my day off so I didn't have to take off work. 2. Owner showed integrity and offered to cut a deal for another shop's excessive charges. 3. Speedy service. Any time I need work done in the future - I will drive the 1.5 hours to take my cars to Ultimate Auto Care. Thank you Eric and team for helping me get my car back on the road! read more

Our youngest daughter has a used Chevrolet 4x4 truck she relies on for everything. I dropped my car off at Ultimate Auto Care on Labor Day of course they were closed and already had a parking lot full of other cars. I got a phone call the next day and told me what needed to be fixed & my car was ready before they closed. Three coils were replaced and four spark plugs. My daughter is a student at Sonoma State Univ. and she called me because her check engine light went on. I found Eric at Ultimate Auto Care via Yelp, sent him a note, and he got right back to me with a quote to run a diagnostic check on my daughters car. This is a good shop. They do what they say, and they finish on time and so far always within the estimate. The thing I like best about them is that they are not locked into some rigid maintenance formula. They will recommend a plan, then deduct things you don't want done and reduce the price accordingly. Pricing is fair, but not inexpensive. To get good dependable service like this you have to pay a little more. Im super picky and i ask a lot of questions. Initially i dont trust people. Ive gone to businesses with good reviews and wasnt always impressed. When I needed break and transmission fluid exchanged i thought id try Ultimate. They had a better price than where I'd been going. Afterward I noticed a couple things sounded different so I went back. It took me 2 months to get back there but it didn't matter. Despite being super busy Justin drove around with me to hear the noises. My rear brakes were shot and the other noise wasnt something to worry about he said. So they did my rear brakes. They gave me an estimate and while doing the work they took the time to find me a better price on the cylinders I needed so the invoice was lower than the estimate. So I sent my mom there after she failed smog at our usual repair place. They did a manifold inspection and repaired it and did not charge for inspection. They also did not have to replace a part the previous mechanic said was needed. Then they sent her for a smog retest somewhere that is not only cheaper but retests for free (Hendsley). Also the owner Eric, is really funny. He's not trying to be, he just is. So if you're sitting in the waiting room while he's working you also may have free entertainment. If you need something fixed urgently they will do their best to take care of you right away even though they're super busy. It's good to have your mechanic be a nice guy but it's more important that they're conscientious and honest and they are. read more
