WOW. These guys just saved me about $1000 over the shop down the road in work that didn't need to be done. Last week I dropped the passenger rear wheel off a steep embankment and not long afterwards started to get a quickly progressing wobble that turned into a vibration and then a thunk. Sounded like a wheel bearing to me, and the first shop I took it to was all too happy to sell me that, plus recommend that i do the other side too since, "if one is going, its likely that the other side will too. oh, and looks like you have a shorn off post and two missing lug nuts. That'll be $1008.13" That was too much to swallow without shopping around. They balanced out the remaining 3 lug nuts and tightened them down before returning the vehicle to me. The guy at the front desk was a little nervous to mention that all of the symptoms that the car had come in with had gone away when he balanced and tightened the lug nuts... sure enough, I drove away and the car felt completely normal. The next morning I bring it in to Ultimate Auto Care, where Eric and Nick had quoted me $600 to do the same work as the other shop, but that I really only needed to do the side that was causing problems, $300. When I got here this morning, I told him the story about the other shop, they took it for a test drive, and came back to tell me, "Your wheel bearings are fine. Just a couple of lug nuts and the stud, parts and labor will be $74." Honest mechanics do exist folks. Ill be coming back here for EVERYTHING I need done from now on. read more

I've got a 2001 Acura 3.2 TL. Great car with 275k miles. But it's in its senior years. My blower suddently died. No AC no heat. Temperature '95-'100 outside! The local dealer said (sadly) that the motor was probably gone and the cost for replacement could go upwards of $1200. (I am not making this up.) On the internet I found Ultimate with 5 stars for more than 100 reviews. Appt scheduled quickly. Dropped it off and about two hours later Justin called to let me know the car was ready. Cost -$80 for the diagnostics and $90 for the part. (Not the motor.) I know where to go the next time my senior citizen car needs some TLC. read more

Came for a lamp inspection to bring a salvage title to operation for DMV. I had originally used another shop for brake & lamp but we failed the lamp and after ordering parts and installing, they were booked out a week or more for a re-inspection. The other shop also wanted $75 for the re-inspection AFTER paying them $250 for the initial brake/light. I msg'd the owner of Ultimate Auto Care via Yelp over the weekend and received a response on a Sunday. Was able to schedule a lamp inspection that Monday at Ultimate Auto Care for price for an initial inspection that was LESS than the "discounted" reinspection at the other ship. The best part is that it could be done today (which is my day off) and I was in and out within 10 minutes. The owner (Eric) of Ultimate Auto Care cut me a deal due to having paid a fortune to the other shop for the initial brake/light inspection. My car is now back on the road and certified as operational by DMV! As of the time of this review, Ultimate Auto Care doesn't charge for a reinspection - which is rare in this industry. Three things made this a 5 star experience: 1. Owner responded over the weekend, making it possible to get this completed on the following Monday which was my day off so I didn't have to take off work. 2. Owner showed integrity and offered to cut a deal for another shop's excessive charges. 3. Speedy service. Any time I need work done in the future - I will drive the 1.5 hours to take my cars to Ultimate Auto Care. Thank you Eric and team for helping me get my car back on the road! read more

I am in the middle of moving and it is $$$! My heart sank when my car started making a crazy loud noise that sounded like my engine was going to fall out of my car. Our youngest daughter has a used Chevrolet 4x4 truck she relies on for everything. I found Eric at Ultimate Auto Care via Yelp, sent him a note, and he got right back to me with a quote to run a diagnostic check on my daughters car. This is a good shop. They do what they say, and they finish on time and so far always within the estimate. The thing I like best about them is that they are not locked into some rigid maintenance formula. They will recommend a plan, then deduct things you don't want done and reduce the price accordingly. Pricing is fair, but not inexpensive. To get good dependable service like this you have to pay a little more.
