I have had Ultimate Carpet Cleaning out here for two big jobs in the past week. The first was for carpet cleaning with loads of pet and food stains (dogs and kids...ugh) and Ultimate was able to remove nearly all of the stains. My carpet looks new and smells great! While Rodrigo was here doing the carpet, I asked that he show me what he could do to clean my tile floors. He picked the dirtiest spot in my kitchen and cleaned it for me. Wow! I should have written this review a while ago.... I almost feel guilty towards those who didn't get their carpet cleaned by Rodrigo .... There is certain responsibility you feel when you find someone great and you want people to know about it... That's my deal with this particular experience. So, I had an appointment with some other irresponsible carpet cleaners. My hubby had made the appointment on Sat. for Tuesday. SO here I am rearranging, organizing, putting furniture on top of furniture... tick toc, and nothing!!!! SO I call the losers up to see whats up, and they seem to have forgotten and to top it off ... they impose as to what day and time they can go (as if I'd still be interested). Well I wasn't, it was urgent and I needed it done ASAP. So, its Tuesday morning, I am freaking out because I am going to have guests over, and I had it perfectly planned.... I call up Rodrigo, and Rodrigo to the rescue!!! I told him what had happened to me, and how much they were going to charge me, blah blah. Well, I guess he felt sorry for me, he was super busy but he managed to squeeze me in that same day, and only charged me a little bit more. I would have definitely paid whatever he asked for, but I told him my situation that currently I was low in cash and I had budgeted for the other losers. Trust me, next time I call him up, I will definitely pay him the price he asks for + tip. This guy was very professional, and meticulous, he went over my carpet several times until he was satisfied. (I am thinking he is a perfectionist????!!!) Believe it or not, he did all this anddddd he was quick to do it. He did what he needed to do and left ASAP. Unfortunately, a nasty (large) spill of tea (w/ milk, sugar, etc) ended up on our white Berber carpet about a month ago... so, when I finally had some time, I called Rodrigo again to clean the carpets and 'hopefully' remove that stain. As usual, they showed up on time, did a great job, and with some extra work, removed the embedded tea stain like it never existed!! Called last Friday to schedule a carpet cleaning with 3 rooms, stairs and downstairs living room. Was quoted a very reasonable price that matched our family member that referred us. They were very on time (almost even 10 minutes earlier) on our 830/9am appointment. They even called around 8:10am to let me know they are on their way. They arrived at 8:50 and was ready to roll. It required minimal preparation as far as furniture goes, they were able to move them around for me no problem. By 9:50 they were done with the whole house! Shorter than their quoted time of an hour and 15 minutes (job only took an hour). I did a check of the whole house and found it to be spotless, and mind you this is 10+ years of living and them occasional ragers. Price was just as quoted. I also called a few others places for information and pricing. Went back to Rodrigo and am sure glad I did. His high ratings are well deserved. He and his assistant were extremely professional, fast, thorough and effective. His prices are very good as far as I can tell from my limited experience. My carpet was well used, almost five years old and in a highly trafficked area of our home. Household includes pets and an active outdoorsy preteen who never remembers to remove shoes upon coming indoors and is also not particularly concerned with careful handling of various craft items - glue, sparkles, paint, etc. Over the past five years we would steam clean the carpet ourselves at least twice a year using that big contraption and cleaning solution from Safeway. A big pain. There were some stains (wine, paint, who-knows-what) that we hadn't been able to get out and I assumed were there for good. Our amateur cleaning results were not even close to the quality Ultimate Carpet Cleaning achieved with their big truck that piped in a tube to thoroughly steam clean. Rodrigo was professional upon the first phone call, then he called again the day before to confirm our appointment, and then called the morning of the cleaning to let me know he was on his way. They gave me a courtesy call about 45 minutes before arriving, and done in no time. Called 3 weeks in advance to book a Tuesday afternoon appt. 2 bedroom, hallway, and stairs + small area rug for $130. 2 workers in uniform arrived and politely introduced himself before doing a glance over of the rooms and jumping right in. Took ~45 min (as quoted over the phone). The rugs looked like new! My older area rug (white/cream in color) was tough to clean and they got out most the stains. About 2 days later a few faint remains of the tough stains resurfaced. Maybe I'll have to try another cleaning session on those areas. I may never go back to Rug Doctor! read more

I just had Rodrigo Sr. and Jr. steam clean the carpets of my condo in Fremont this morning. These guys exceeded my expectations completely! I highly recommend them due to their prefessionalism, affordable cost and great work. Rodrigo had provided me with a quotation over the phone a few days earlier and also advised that it would take about two hours to complete the work. He called me about 45 minutes prior to the appointment to confirm that I was ready and showed up a few minutes early. The work itself took about an hour and I was so surprised at how good our carpets turned out. We have not had the carpets cleaned in over 18 months. During that time, we also adopted a puppy and we thought it would be near impossible to get the smells and stains out of the carpets. I gave them a window of 12-4 since I knew I would be home preparing for an upcoming party. They called a few times to update me on when they would be there which i appreciated because it turned out I had to make a trip to Lowes. They were friendly, professional and got the job done. The next day the carpet looked bran new, a few hard core stains are now visible since doing this a month and a half ago, but we really wanted it looking good for the party since we will be putting in hardwood soon. (The stained that re-appeared were coffee and some sort of rust looking stuff that we never knew what was. lol) The only thing they could improve is answering the phone "Ultimate Carpet Cleaning, this is [NAME]" rather than, "This is [NAME]" lol. They were able to get us in the very next day. And also their quote was the best among the few other places I called. They came on time. They were wearing masks, shoe covers and cleaning their equipments with sanitizing solution before use. They were strictly practicing the best safety measures. Thats was very reassuring since my parents are older folks and we don't want to have any unexpected "surprise" when it comes to COVID. They did a great job cleaning. Rodrigo said he is coming to our house for a evaluation. He missed his 1:00 p.m. appointment but came at 5:00 p.m. after I called him and assuredhim that I am not hiring someone based on the lowest price. He put the quote in writing and was $5 dollars above his competitor. I hired him on the spot based on the written quote he gave me. He actually inspected every room, hall way and even steps on the stairs. On the day of the appointment he called ahead and showed up on time. He told us the job will be done by two fellows and it will be done within two hours. That was exactly how the service was delivered. I was told the stuffs they used are organic. it was simply water and soap and no chemicals(I have no way to check) but I can see the guys don't wear any masks nor gloves when working at our house. One the guys actually use the stuffs to clean his hands afterwards. We're very happy with the job. Our carpet is off white with some mixed color dots all over it. They even removed some of the pretty tough stain spots we had. However, that doesn't mean they can clean all carpets. We have a small Navajo area rug made of wool with a small spots of long time unknown stains.They were nice enough and willing to include as part of the cleaning job it but it doesn't work. That was a special situation and an extra job at the end so it shouldn't count against them. I would hire them again next time. So be sure to keep him busy and stay in business. read more

I actually had 2 separate carpet cleaning experiences in one week - one for my old house and one for the new house I was moving in to. My experience with Rodrigo was excellent and the better of the 2 experiences. Things that made the experience with Rodrigo excellent: - price: Rodrigo was friendly and willing to negotiate on price. In the end I was very happy with what I got for the money. - availability: I was able to call Ultimate only a few days in advance and they arrived right on time - results: I had lived in the house for 3+ years and the carpets were dirty. But when Ultimate left, they looked great. In fact, upon inspection, by landlord was really surprised at how great the carpets looked and asked me who did the job! The only down side I might give Rodrigo is that he is a bit of a sales man - friendly, but persistent. Carpet clean is not rocket science. After a few bad experiences, we were very intimidates by and wanted to avoid such opportunity. But, eventually, it gets to all of us. The dust, allergen and dreaded discoloration... Researching the yelps, we decided to give Rodrigo a try (crossing all of our fingers and toes). We were all stressed out before Rodrigo showed up with his team (2 people total). The initial phone call were short and to the points, confirmed time and quotes. He called back to confirm the phone number was correct and that was it. The next 5 days was just anticipation and self-imposed stress. Rodrigo show up as promised and called before he came. Then it was all business. He repeatedly ask me whether I have concerns and questions. Ask why I didn't use the last carpet cleaner (God I hope I will not), he is committed not to make the same mistake the last cleaner did. He told me he was a 20 year COIT veteran. His machine was powerful and adequate. He'd done everything I ask of him (even vacuum the hard to get places), even vacuum and spot treated my sofa. He did not change the final invoice even though I felt he went out of his way to do extra stuff and spend 2 hours in a 4 room job. His rates are reasonable. But, all we want is a responsible team to "clean" the carpet, and he DID that. That is all I can ask of him. I have clean carpets and a relief that I have found him.
