Came here for dinner and it was amazing (and that's coming from an Italian from Brooklyn, NY). :) First, you receive 3 courses for appetizers...for free. If you're looking for great Italian food and a chophouse all in one, look no further. I ate at the bar and Jimmy was spectacular. He recommended a few of his favorite dishes and the courses seemed to keep coming. I could only eat about half of each course and took half of the New York strip and shrimp home. Jimmy even went above and beyond and reached out to me later on a NYC steakhouse recommendation, because I mentioned I was heading there next month and looking for a good spot. Well done, Jimmy. Decent food with average service but the prices aren't horrible which is great if you're looking for a good meal at a good price. The downside is that parking is not too favorable as it's surrounded by a lot of shops. So our waiter was very nice! The place was busy so we were seated kind of like in the forgotten room in the back near a bar. The table cloth had stains all over it ( hint on why I should of walked out). I just thought to myself give it a chance. We ordered a rigatoni vodka and chicken francaise. The vodka sauce tasted like something I would get in a Ragu jar! I could of made that dish at home. My fiancé couldn't stand the chicken either. I mean the only only reason I gave this review two stars was because the waiter was so nice. I left hungry and very unhappy, I actually went to get ice cream for dinner. Holy smokes. We were not expecting our experience here to be as great as it was. Parking was easy, the venue was gorgeous, and outdoor seating was available. From the moment we were seated, our table was never void of food. We received our water and wine promptly and with a flourish. Then they brought our our first of many courses, the beans and greens. We had never had this before, but they tasted amazing on the bread they brought out in the bread basket. We cleared the whole bowl. Next, we received our "salad". We expected to have side salads come out, but we were pleasantly surprised with a homemade tomato, cucumber, red onion concoction soaking in their house Italian dressing. We also cleared this whole bowl. Finally, they brought out a bowl of angel hair pasta with their homemade tomato sauce, which was sweet and somewhat spicy at the same time. All of these courses accompanied the meal! Once our stomaches were full of all this deliciousness, our meals were delivered to the table. I got the veal Antonio, and goodness gracious, I cannot convey how amazing it was. The veal was cooked to perfection with just the right ratio of prosciutto and provolone and was soaking in a bath of lemon garlic butter. The whole table thought it was amazing. My mom and dad got the veal and chicken parmesans, which they said were the best parms they have ever had. The meats were cooked well, sauce had the perfect amount of flavor, and the breading was not overpowering. My fiancee got the shrimp scampi. He was pleased with the number of shrimp, and the white wine sauce was the perfect consistency and seasoning. I quite literally cannot express how great this place was, and you definitely need to make a reservation and experience this establishment's food. We have been wanting to try this spot forever! We are regulars at Barefoot Landing and visit often. We decided to try it out the other day, for dinner. We arrived around 5:30 and they had a 30 min wait for 4- if we agreed to sit outside. No problem. Inside was a 2 hour wait. There were open tables- so I'm guessing it was a lack of server/kitchen help issue but not sure. So hard right now with that! We were seated outside, and it was extremely TIGHT. We asked to move to a different more roomy table outside with a fan (it's really hot out there, no breeze unless you're at the fan table). The server we had (I wish I remembered his name) really tried to be professional. I saw a neighboring server who looks less than enthused to be working. Glad he was not ours! We ordered chicken parm, lasagna and a kids meal. The greens & beans were delish. The bread everyone said was warm was cold. The cucumber tomato salad had great dressing. I wish they just did normal salad though. We ordered the kids meals ahead of time- but it came out last- after the adult meals. My first meal given to me was eggplant parm. I tasted it and was confused- just thought it was the thinnest chicken ever- (really hated it) and then realized it wasn't chicken. They brought me a new dish out soon after- but at this point we were ready to go. The bill was incorrect (we were charged for 2 kids meals- only got one) but at this point wanted to get out of there. Went here tonight for a family dinner to celebrate a birthday. We were seated at 8:45pm on a Friday night and our server Jason seemed annoyed that we were accommodated so close to their 9pm cutoff for new seatings. From the time we sat down we were rushed to place orders. The entire dinner was rushed up until the moment we were still eating our entrees and Jason felt compelled to ask if we wanted to wrap everything up. We were still clearly eating when this happened. I said no as we are still eating and he walked away. Coming back a few minutes later to see If we were "done yet" we felt pressured to say we are done and let him take the food away. At this time the table next to us was celebrating a birthday and their waitress prompted the guests to sing happy birthday for her customers. As Jason cleared our tables he asked if we had any wine left in the bottle we purchased so he "can give us to go cups". Another clever hint to get out so he can go home early. He then asked if we were ready for our check and my wife advised him we were celebrating a birthday and asked if we could we get dessert and sing happy birthday. The icing on the cake was Jason's response: I don't sing happy birthday and you don't want me to sing as I will scare everyone away. Ok Jason, scratch that and we will just leave. Cut his tip from my standard 25% to 10% even though he deserves 0! And sharing this unfortunate story on yelp so other people don't make the same mistake with this Dump!. At a recent traveler's suggestion, we made dinner reservations for our last evening at MB The multi-course meal is nice and I have only seen it a couple times back home in the Pittsburgh area. The beans were served warm in the style of pasta fagioli (except in clear broth with a few greens and not the tomato broth) and came out first with the bread. The beans were excellent as was the bread. The bread was obviously not the airy bland sponge that many Italian restaurants pass for bread. Their bread had a denser, vaguely sweet crumb and thicker crust. I would guess Giuseppe makes it on the premises. The cucumber tomato salad came next. The Roma style tomatoes were fair for a typical restaurant but would not make the cut at home. The cucumbers and dressing were nice. Local-grown tomatoes when available would be the bomb. Even split fully-ripe cherry tomatoes would be a home run. Then the angel hair pasta with marinara arrived, topped with grated parmigiana. Nice flavor and slightly chunky sauce texture. My wife ordered the Lobster ravioli topped with shrimp and I ordered the lasagna bolognese. The ravioli portion was good and the quality was good. The sauce had a little spice (heat) but not too much. Nice. The shrimp on top were large. My lasagna arrived as a huge square serving and was filled with a nice balance of ricotta, sausage and ground beef. The sauce had finely ground meat in it and was tasty. The cheese filling had a slight vinegar or lemon juice kick to it - different but still very good and light textured. Not overloaded with pasta and seemed somehow refreshingly lighter. Lasagna can seem dense and heavy - this was different and better than most. Of course, no room for dessert. The Bravo Franco for Two was out of this world in terms of flavor and quantity. The bread was warm and the three courses before the meat (2 huge pork chops and a huge steak) were so flavorful it was difficult not to get full before the meat arrived. And when it did, oh my gosh it was perfect. Never have I eaten such a moist pork chop! I don't know the secret but it was delicious. And the steak was done to perfection with so much flavor. There was no need for any steak sauce on that slab of meat. The "best deal at Myrtle Beach" said my friend and he was right! Then while holding the leftovers in the box I left my phone and the busboy ran after us for about two blocks before I even realized it was missing. If this place is Pittsburgh Italian, then I'm Roberto Clemente. This place wouldn't survive in Pittsburgh. Yes, you will get a lot of food. No, it is not the best Italian anywhere. The restaurant had these janky plastic chairs, like they got them on clearance at Kmart in 1997 and stocked up. The beans and greens had very little greens. The salad was about 90% greenhouse tomatoes covered in what tasted like cheap olive oil and McCormick's Italian Seasoning. The bread was homemade, yet not risen long enough. The pasta, which tasted as if it was not homemade, was covered in a very thick sauce that was overpowered with garlic--and I'm a garlic lover. All of this could have been forgiven, if the servers were not obviously rushing people out. We were given to go boxes and the check while most of our party was still eating. The table next to us had the table cloth pulled off of it while the guests were still there. I understand the need to turn over tables, yet there are more artful ways to achieve this. read more

Bread was large and wonderful followed by fagioli (bean soup) then cucumbers, tomatoes and onion salad...perfectly seasoned then next a plate of pasta with red sauce. By now I am full.
