Cute little boba spot! You order on their ipads and there is a TV at the front which shows the queue of your drink/snack too. The pink aesthetic is totally my type of style and they sell super cute tote bags for $3.99. I ordered their strawberry fresh milk with pudding and boba as an add on! I went with a group of friends, and the interior was cute but there wasn't too much seating. We ordered from the kiosk and it took roughly 30 mins to get a couple of drinks. It seems like they don't prioritize in person orders, so I recommend ordering ahead if you're in a rush. The drinks were okay. Surprisingly, the brown sugar fresh milk at 50% sugar felt like it was at 100 or more. We were surprised the sugar didn't line the walls of the cups and it looked monotone (just like milk). We also got a green tea with taro balls. The taro balls tasted like they'd been sitting all day. We did come at the evening, which could be the reason, but some pieces were harder whereas some were softer. It wasn't really chewy or firm. The green tea was good though! Not too astringent and refreshing. The disappointing part was the service. Someone (I think a week ago?) also mentioned the service went downhill, and it's noticeable. We had trouble finding our drinks (there were multiple rows of drinks), and one of the workers was helping us and couldn't find it. A different worker (maybe a lead or manager?) ended up finding it, but she was clearly agitated, made a face, and pointed at the order number with the drinks after helping us. They also have these cool "blind box" kind of cups called surprise cups which include some small stuffed animals. There are two kiosks that you can order from and a cashier as well. This is one of the cutest boba spots I've ever seen. I really like the pink theme. I got the Rose Pistachio Cream, and Berry Pistachio latte. The pistachio cheese foam taste pretty good with both of the drinks. It has a nutty flavor, pretty unique! I have always been the fan of Ume Tea and going to this location in Milpitas just solidifies why I love this tea shop. I couldn't find my normal drink on the ordering tablet, so the cashier helped me find it. He was incredibly friendly and nice and wasn't hesitant at all to help. He actually apologized many times and I absolutely loved it. I was trying to find the mango pomelo sago but could not find it on the menu. It's literally all the way at the bottom in another category haha. But yes, the shop is small and cute and it's pretty much order in and take out. I wish there was some seating inside but it's such a small shop, so I understand. Hopefully, there will be other locations that have seating in the future. I've gone to the locations in Cupertino and Fremont and consistency, quality and service has always been top notch. Been here a couple times now. It's located in the 99 Ranch plaza. They have two kiosks that you can order from. But beware that they do charge a small service charge when using these machines. I have yet to see anyone order at the register but I assume that's an option and there won't be a service charge. I've tried the mango yogurt slushie, the limited yumberry yogurt slushie, and the passion fruit & watermelon green tea. The yogurt slushies are refreshing. I preferred the mango over the yumberry. Not sure which berries they used but it was a bit too sweet for me. I really liked the passion fruit watermelon drink. I tasted more watermelon than passion fruit and they used real watermelon as I could taste the chunks of it in the drink. Their boba is chewy and solid - it's my go to topping. Also you can choose the sweetness level for must drinks. They use your phone number for their ordering system. And don't forget to join their rewards program to get free drinks and snacks. read more

Expect on average $5-$7 beverages and they have snacks now, so any chicken snacks would work for me. Quick service, efficient staffs & convenient here. You can order at kiosks inside. No hassles. It was very quiet inside on a Tuesday around 12 noon. Stress free experience. Some people want fruit teas/smoothies/slushies/yogurt beverages, but I will always prefer the milk tea or fruity dessert category. I ordered two medium cups of the Mango Pomelo Sago dessert beverages. Delicious and refreshing, especially the sweet mango taste. $6.25 per cup. Ume napkins are cute with their logo on it too. Must love pink decorations. There's also a $0.35 service charge on my receipt and I ordered at kiosk, so remember that special line item on your receipt. I wish the fee was removed. A convenient little outpost of the Ume Tea chain in a milpitas square. While well setup with a Kiosk, QR code online ordering system, and clean/clear/cute decor (the pink rabbit is a rather nice aesthetic for those so inclined). Only real detriment is that they tend to be rather swamped/chaotic most peak hours so orders might take a while to come out (ours took 30min on a casual Wed evening). Staff were pleasant despite the chaos that comes with post-dinner so just try to have a bit of patience given the timing of your order. At least there's no need to stick around inside, but don't expect more than a few outside tables worth of seating. Most recently nabbed their Grapefruit Sago dessert drink which was a little on the thick side, but rather nicely balanced at 50% without too much sugar (Chinese palette). Drink cups had a nice opaque pink frosting and felt surprisingly durable (seal and cup plastic). Some of their drinks are a bit hit or miss though as my friend's Red-bean Mochi drink discovered; they have a fun "surprise" option but it appears to just pick what someone recently ordered so that was what my wierdo brother wanted. Super cute franchise all over NorCal. This is one of their smaller locations with only limited outdoor seating, but still cute nonetheless with plushies and other merchandise for purchase and a cute interior as well. I ordered on Fantuan and we came there a bit earlier than when the food and drinks were ready, but we didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes. They can get quite busy here, but services was quite efficient and friendly. We got the: 1) Mini Fried Octopus: -Super unique menu item that I KNEW I had to get as an octopus enjoyer. -Probably my favorite item that I got from them. -It's a generous portion of mini fried octopus. Lightly battered and nicely crispy with the perfect level of saltiness. -The tentacles were crispy and the rest of the bodies were nicely chewy. -I've never seen this offered at any other boba shop and when they really should with how yummy it is. 2) Grape Slush with non-alcoholic Heineken Beer: -Very interesting drink and it does have the taste of beer without any of the alcohol. -It's enhanced by the sweetness of the grape and having it in slush form makes it much more refreshing. -The person I got this for said it was a bit too sweet, even at 0 sugar level though so keep that in mind. 3) Surprise Me!: -Surprisingly good for something that I gambled on getting. -I believe that it was a passionfruit green tea with some lychee jelly in it. -Their regular sized drinks are decently sized and this was decently priced, especially since it came with a topping. -If you don't have any real preferences and just love all types of drinks, this may be the choice for you! 4) Chicken Filet Sandwich: -Sizeable sandwich with lettuce, sauce, and a good amount of chicken filet. -It's katsu styled so there's nice crispy breading and the meat was moist. -Nice and filling for sure. 5) QQ Pumpkin Pie: -Another unique menu offering that I have never seen at any other boba place. -They're sweet fried mini-patties of pumpkin, lightly sugared on top. -I love pumpkin and I enjoyed this. Definitely not as sweet as what you expect from western pumpkin pie (actually doesn't resemble pumpkin pie whatsoever), so this might be the perfect sweet treat by Asian standards. 6) Mega Milk Tea (1000cc) : -Huge mini bucket of milk tea where you can add toppings as well. -The ice cream came separate and we also got pudding in it too. -Sweet and yummy and works well if you're craving lots of standard milk tea. I love that they opened Ume Tea in greatmall. I always find myself feeling thirsty after walking around the mall, but the only good beverage option was Starbucks. With Ume being a popular boba shop, busy hours in the mall will lead to a long wait for your drinks. I think it is worth it though! Ume Signature Boba Black Milk Tea w/ mochi: Everything you would want in a basic milk tea. Boba was a good texture and the mochi was definitely interesting. There's limited seating available and it's more like a takeout place, rather than cafe-style. I ordered The Brown Sugar Boba Oolong Milk Tea Boba 1,1.5 in the Bunny Surprise cup add-on which was an extra $3.50 and come with a plushie in the cup. The drink and the duck plushie I got were so cute and the store decor was also very cute! The drink was okay overall and didn't feel like it was anything too mind-blowing. Love Love Love this Place!!!!!! Been coming here since it opened and I will never stop coming here! 10/10 This shop is located in the Milpitas Plaza, in the furthest left corner. This plaza had a lot of other shops and restaurants as well if you wanna check them out. The parking is great, there will never be a time when you can't find a parking spot. Guaranteed! The tea shop is pretty small. They usually decorate for holidays and everything is just so cute!. The shop is just for pick-ups and ordering, they don't have any seating inside but they do have 2-3 tables outside. It can get pretty packed so I recommend ordering online, that way you won't have to wait too long. I remember I didn't this one time and I was stuck there for 30 minutes because there were so many people trying to order. It was crazy! If you don't want to order online, you can order inside. They used to have 2 tablets for ordering, so you could only use cards to pay. Now they only have one tablet and a cashier, who is very nice and helpful, so you can pay in cash if you don't have a card. My favorite drink is the white peach oolong milk tea with a Biscoff cookie. I usually get it with light ice and 50% sugar. It's amazing and super refreshing. The peach flavor isn't overwhelming and the drink pairs well with the cookie. Give it a try if you like fruity tea! Updating my review since it's been awhile. There's always a lot of people here, and the place is small. So you literally order and just wait outside for your drink. I finally tried something different, it's the mango mango drink. Much better than the previous drink I tried. I do think there's room for improvement for this specific location. The smell, sometimes it just doesn't smell right. It smells like fish in the store and it's off putting. I don't know if it's some of the food items they serve or if it's neighboring restaurants, but it doesn't smell pleasant all the time. The surprise bunny cups are why my family comes here for.
