My wife loves the coco mango but on multiple occasions they have only started making the drink after I ask why my order is 10 minutes past the expected time. The same thing happened the last two occasions, except on those occasions they waited till they started making the drink to tell me they didn't have the ingredients... the drinks are good but I can't waste my time any longer. read more

Excellent tea options for me and the kids along with food options. Their bento boxes are excellent choice with a little bit of everything and comes with sides of kimchi. Cute shop, great drinks. Oreo with creme brûlée drink: loved! Thai tea with creme brûlée: great! I didn't get much Thai tea flavor, but when I got to the bottom and tasted the creme brûlée, I was taken away! The creme is so buttery and rich that I knew I should have ordered more drinks. Came here on a Sunday night and the wait was moderate. Cute atmosphere. I was confused and unsure if I could order at the counter or not, so I just waited for the kiosk to be free. This place gets crowded fast, so if you're indecisive like me, either order hella drinks or scan the OR code on the window outside and order online from your phone. I did not align with the energy of one of the staff, but the owner seemed really polite and let us access the parking lot from their rear door. Thank you! Definitely try their matcha milk tea with matcha icecream on top! I usually don't like drinking matcha, but ume tea makes it tastes so rich and creamy! I drank the whole thing in one sitting! They even have table games for customers, me and my friend sat to play chinese checkers and uno until we finished our drinks. They also give out free tea packs that change up every week, so you can try out different flavors! I got the fruit tea edition. I suggest carpooling If you plan to come with a big group during the day. If you come later in the evening, there's a lot of parking available since most business next door are closed by then. Pro Tip: If you're ordering black boba, drink your tea sooner rather than later. The boba hardens after an hour or two, which is understandable with the ice. Also, if you're someone who prefers less sweet drinks (like 25% sweet), I recommend starting with "less sweet" and adjusting to your taste from there. Final Thoughts: From the warm service to the quality food and drinks, this place is a gem. Whether you're here for the tea or the snacks, it's worth a visit. Wow I see that others said they had quick service, but ours was super slow. After ordering, we were waiting 30-40 minute for our drinks. If we were not in a hurry then I might not mind, but if I was, or in our case, our children were squirming around, I really was wondering what is taking so long. There were three people working. My husband noticed that the people kept on referring to the recipes so it was taking a long time. Also I guess they ran out of cut strawberries, or maybe they were just cutting them fresh so maybe that's why it took so long. Because 3 of the 4 drinks were probably done around 25 minutes. I also noticed some people that came in way later than us got their drinks because we got our final strawberry drink. They do complete the orders before they call your name, but we were waiting too long so eventually my husband asked if the done drinks were ours so we took those first. The ambiance is pink and cute. They have some items for sale such as a cup holder and a straw holder. The table that we were sitting at to wait was not clean. There were drops of milk tea on there but I didn't see any napkins available for us to wipe the table. The garbage can was overflowing. They did have some free milk tea out side for sampling, but there were no cups. The actual drinks, my husband enjoyed his mango with avocado but the tapioca was sort of clumping at the bottom. My mango yogurt had crystal boba. It tasted pretty good, but was a bit too sweet. Not sure if you can adjust the sweetness on this drink but we did put in no added sugar in our instructions and the person handing us the drinks didn't comment on it. read more

I love UME tea but this location... I did not enjoy . The tables were dirty and there was trash on the floor. The workers seemed young and I understand that it could be a lot to handle (I was once a young worker too lol). They didn't have the tea to make the drinks we wanted so I ended up with milk and brown sugar syrup... paid extra for my boba and it wasn't in my drink. Perhaps it was just a bad busy day? It was my first time trying Ume Tea after seeing so many people post about their cute plushies. The service was really quick, the drink was well made, and the decor inside was super cute and welcoming. My friends and I were out celebrating my friend's birthday and we decided to stop by for some boba and to enjoy her birthday cake. Celine went ABOVE and BEYOND on her customer service. Not only did she give us all coupons but she also gave my friend a free plushie after she found out it was her birthday. She even volunteered to take our group photos. When we didn't have a knife to cut the cake, she let us use a knife from their kitchen. Celine is such a kind person who genuinely cares for her customers! Not all Umes are the same. This is the best one we have been to in the Bay Area, and we have been to many. The snacks taste better, and drinks are made with riper and fresher fruit. Best of all is the excellent service. Even though it's a chain, the owner and staff make you feel like you are in a family owned boba shop.
