We ordered 2 Ume Specials (bento boxes): Beef Teriyaki with gyoza, egg roll, rice & salad - this was a big portion of food! The Beef Teriyaki had great flavor and the beef was really tender, the salad has a ginger dressing, the fried gyoza & egg roll were a bit over fried and hard but still good. Crunch Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll & California Roll with Soup - great little sushi roll combo. Everything was fresh and tasted great. They had some imported Japanese sodas, so, of course I needed to try one! The peach soda was good. The ginger & wasabi came out in a cute container. Service was quick and friendly. I really like to order the chicken teriyaki ume special. It's a really great deal for 9 bucks. It's chicken, rice, side salad, 2 pieces of gyoza and a veggie eggroll. I usually substitute the rice for more salad. I call in the order and it's ready for me to pick up. The flavors are excellent especially considering how cheap it is. This little family owned restaurant also offers plenty of specials and combo deals which is great, especially during the pandemic. Most of the rolls are fairly straightforward, simple and fresh. The California roll was packed with lots of avocados and imitation crab meat. I also enjoyed the dynamite roll, a baked California roll topped with spicy mayo and toasted scallops. There is a restaurant and there is a place to go eat. This is the place that you go because you actually want the food. Food is consistently good, quantity is a lot and the price is reasonable. The quality is as good if not better as those fancy Japanese restaurant that most likely will cost you at least 30-40% more. There is a few hiccups here and there when we ordered, but I can say that generally I would recommend this place over many other place for your standard Japanese fix. Our favorite are the chicken karaage bento box. I could never finish this bento myself. so oftentimes what we do is, we order one bento box and one roll, usually the baked eel roll, and that would be more than enough food for 2 of us. read more

We do not eat there but we will call in a phone order and pick it up 15-20 minutes later. My co workers and I highly recommends this place because of the amount of food you get for the price you pay. Decent Japanese restaurant in the area - was at Carmax getting a quote a d came by after. Checked in and got a free milk tea (choice of that or Thai iced tea). My sister checked in and got one too. I ordered the spicy tuna bowl, my nephew got the salmon teriyaki special, niece got the tuna sashimi, did got the yellowtail roll and added to miso soups. Tapioca balls in boba were just ok but to be expected for free boba. My bowl came out fast then the rest of the food. Tried a yellowtail roll which was tasty as was my tuna bowl. Little too much rice for my taste (wish they had brown rice as an option). Still overall a good Japanese spot with good specials! read more

It is super affordable and they offer great deals on combination meals. Although not a trained sushi chef, the fish (sushi and sashimi) was always good to eat and ample in quantity. Their hand rolls are a great deal too. They also sell Boba too! Lots of people get take out. But I have only ever dined in. Lots of seating space, and never full.
