I was beyond excited to see this opening up. Went on a Saturday morning and zero wait. There was a sign on the door saying lobster was only for special occasions now. So heads up before you go. The buffet was very clean and stocked. However the quality was poor. Crabs were good sized, hard to eat, but mushy. I had some mussels that tasted rotten. And then Cooked items were lacking. All the beef items were low quality beef and overcooked to the point they were tough. I don't usually go for the hot foods and stick to seafood but my go to items are always hot n sour soup (had zero taste), green beans (again bland) and some cooked seafood dishes. I thought my taste buds were broken nothing had flavor to it. Hot pot selections were big. If we go back I would just do the hot pot. But $40 for hot pot wouldn't be worth it. Sashimi area was actually good. Salmon seemed good quality and the option of cold salads were good. Everything out, just ok. Employees were oblivious and constantly walking into everyone and not paying attention and chatting to each other most of the time. It wasn't until we were halfway through our first plates that we were questioned about where our receipts were? . Which was odd because no one in our section had receipts on their tables. Can't say I'll hurry back.

Umi Hotpot Sushi Buffet Very highly anticipated to try this restaurant, what a total disappointment! All their food was cold and very uneventful tasting, out of lobster on a Tuesday before 7pm. Big variety of food, drinks, desserts, hot pot, ramen, sushi, sashimi, BBQ. The service is very good, always there to take away your plastic plate or fill your drink. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with lots of lightning and clean. But the most important thing was the lack luster quality of the food

If you are a big eater, and like to have a lot of options--this is your new favorite spot! They have so much variety for you to go for from, Hot Pot, Pizza, Sushi, Ramen, Chinese food, dessert, drinks and more. This is is completely surprise me with their options- I felt overwhelmed and didn't know what to start. I tried the Hot pot with the spicy broth which was really good but it was not that spicy ( for me ) Grilled seafood and the seared Salmon was amazing. The restaurant is spacious and open, making it feel more relaxed and comfortable and you don't feel crowded. Perfect for a couple or even a big group for lunch or dinner. The service is amazing, they keep your table clean while you enjoy the meal. One thing that I want to remind you, try not to leave the table without anyone there at the table, sometimes the staff can get confused and thought you're done with your meal and they clean your table, just let them know of have someone there. I like the variety that they offer even though I'm not a big eater but I will come back for more that for sure. Come and check this place out, you will love to see those options that they have offered for you.

Newly awesome buffet! Clean, prismatic, and luminous! This place has a wide range of all-you-can-eat seafood, hot pot, ramen, and sushi. It was crazy packed but we only waited about 20 minutes to get a seat, which isn't too bad for a spot that just recently opened. I absolutely enjoyed their shrimp and clams. Everything tasted good. Their hot pot was just okay for me. We got the Sichuan spicy mala and it had a nice kick to it. I appreciate the quality of the meat, though. Plenty of chilled items like snow crab legs, chilled shrimp, and even fresh oysters on the half shell. Their sushi & sashimi bar presented a gleaming culinary display of Nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls--all made fresh. I enjoyed each one. UMI Hotpot Sushi & Seafood Buffet chain ranges from $25.99 for lunch to $39.99 for dinner and weekends, per person.

It was honestly not that great. We tried going on a Saturday around 530. Tons of ppl waiting already. I joined the waitlist and I was 114th place. Good thing I lived close by and waited at home. 2 hrs gone by. And still was stuck at 20. Think we got in maybe another hour. Ok the food was definitely disappointing. A lot of food was not named so you're not sure what it is. Also a lot of food didn't have tongs to get the food. It seemed so messy everywhere. I'm not sure if it's cuz we got in towards the end of the day. Food was only mediocre. Only thing I found was good was the crab legs and salmon sashimi. The hot pot part was ehh. Not many dessert choices. The fridge where the boba and other drinks were warm. Not sure why they add 12% gratuity when service was not that great. They don't even bring you silverware to the table. You have to get everything yourself. Overall. I probably wouldn't come back. Definitely wouldn't wait that long to eat there.

With Umi being opened for almost 2 weeks now...I dont think it really lived up to the hype. We waited over an hour and half to be seated and I was waiting to be impressed. When you join the waitlist there's a QR code to scan inside. I liked how there was an "add note" section which I mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday. It was his birthday day. Unfortunately nothing was done or mentioned for his birthday. What made it really disappointing was seeing another table near us receive a birthday celebration with a flashy lit sign, singing staff, and a little dessert with a candle. I definitely wished we received the same experience as I had mentioned it in the note. I liked how a cold beverage was included in the price. They also had a fridge full of milk teas, fruit teas, bottle teas, and a canned drink. I chose the red fruit tea, but unfortunately it was not very good. I liked how they had full ice cream bars to choose from for dessert as most buffets just have the little ice cream cups. I tried the hot pot and ramen and it was okay. I asked for a recommendation for a non spicy broth and they gave me the golden soup broth. The sign for broths arent descriptive at all and in another language. It was still too spicy for me. My boyfriend tried the seafood and said it was pretty subpar. It lacked flavor and was very bland. Trying to eat the crawfish he said it was like they crushed them in the pot or container so trying to eat them you have crunched shells in it. Not good at all. The 12% surcharge plus expecting tip is a little crazy since the service wasnt so attentive to refill drinks. For the price and long wait I was expecting more. Personally I think Pacific Seafood Buffet has better seafood and even the Number 1 buffet has better food overall. Definitely not worth the hype.

I was SO excited to try this place, and OMG... they were SOOOOO busy! Somehow, though, their waiting list wasn't being updated properly, and we never received a text that our table was ready. We ended up waiting for over an hour before finally going back to ask about our table. The list seemed to be stuck at #13 foreverrrr I'm not sure if they're still new to managing the waiting list, or if they were just completely overwhelmed because there were so many people and different table sizes to arrange. Either way, I think the waiting-list system could definitely use a little TLC. So for now, I'm giving them 4 stars . NOW... LET'S TALK ABOUT THE FOOD!!! Yummmmmm!!! All the food was AWESOME! There are SO many choices to pick from, tons of desserts, and plenty of drinks too. And don't forget the hot pot!!! It was GOOD! Honestly, everything we tried tasted great. If you don't like it, you can go kick my neighbor's butt... JUST KIDDING!!! I absolutely WILL come back and give this place another try. I definitely want to see how they improve their waiting-list management. If the waiting situation gets better next time, I'll happily upgrade you guys to 5 stars! Food: Waiting list: My stomach: VERY HAPPY

Very excited to try this Hot pot seafood & Buffet that just opened in Tempe today! Very clean, bright environment with a very friendly staff! The choices for Hot Pot alone are varied and plentiful from beef to pork belly to lobster balls fish balls lotus flower crab and much much more! The sushi and seafood options are a great assortment as well, very fresh with a good presentation as well! They still have American fare as well with ribs pizza etc available as well for those less adventurous palette Definitely a great experience and look forward to our next experience!

Oh, not to forget, they have paper plates, and paper, spoons and paper forks great idea for a buffet

Great service very clean. Bathrooms are very clean. Food was amazing and astonishing. I will go again. I recommend everyone to go. I believe they're better than number one buffet..any buffet in Arizona It reminds me of Las Vegas type of buffet if you ever been they have caviar they have lobster. I believe they have King crab on certain days. they have a noodle station. They have a sushi station they bring hot pot to your table. You just ordered from your table. The whole experience was amazing 10 out of 10.

I was happy to find another good hot pot and buffet place. They had multiple different options, with a large variety of seafood! The hot pot was nothing special but the food to add was fresh and flavorful! The service was mixed, our original server was forgetful, but our new server was helpful and quick!

    You get 2 hours....

Although we had to wait for a bit, the service was excellent. Our server was nice and made sure everything was okay every so often. There is a punching bag arcade machine right in the front, so don't be startled when someone is playing it. The decoration of the place is modern and clean. Pricing wise, it is okay, but slightly in the pricier range(especially for dinner). Overall, a good place to take friends and family.

We had heard both positives and negatives about it so it was about time to make up my own mind. We arrived at 5:00 and were seated immediately. The buffet looked interesting with about 6 rows of items to peruse. Companion went first and when he returned I got a plate and began my tour. First item on my plate was the seafood boil. Crawdads, shrimp, mussels, corn on cob, potatoes and lots of cajun spice. If it had been hotter it would have been wonderful. Next I started down a row of hotel pans, picking those items that seemed interesting to me. Shrimp in various incarnations, beef and broccoli, pork egg roll, potsticker, sticky pork rib, velveted pepper steak with onions, and a couple of pieces of sushi. The shrimp was nicely cooked and the pepper steak was tender and properly cooked. The sushi was unremarkable and the egg roll was soggy and without merit. The potsticker was nice as was a piece of fried banana. Sanitation in the food areas was excellent with counters being wiped down as needed. I also noted one of the chefs in the Mongolian BBQ area wiping down the tiles on the wall, which was quite impressive. However, not all was great. Food was tepid at best and while I did not have a thermometer with me my estimate was that none of the food was over 100 degrees. The restrooms were a different story. The ladies room was properly clean and appointed with nothing but a few drops of water on the floor by the sink. However, companion went into the men's room and took a picture for me. It could not pass any type of inspection by any person. Normally I would have handed my companion my ultra violet light which I use when checking bathrooms, but why waste the batteries? The place was filthy and the toilets were terrible. No use to stand upon the seat, the crabs in here can jump six feet! Companion remarked that it was disgusting and he forgoed using the facility. Our bill for 2 was $36.11, which is about what other buffet charge, however, I've eaten at much better buffets for this amount. 3 stars

Our server wasn't attentive at all, had to ask him for napkins multiple times, ask for water refills , and no crab leg crackers or anything was given to us. Although I guess that last one didn't matter too much this time since there weren't really any crab legs that were offered. Our bill was around $76 for two adults two kids and this time definitely did not feel like it was worth it. Sucks to see with the beautiful remodel, the food quality and quantity has gone downhill.

Great food, incredible service, and excellent value for money. We tried several different curries,…read moreand I really liked that you can choose your spice level from 1-10. Just be careful -- the heat builds up slowly, so if you're not used to spicy food, go lower on the scale! The portions were generous, everything was very flavorful, and we all ended up taking leftovers home. What stood out the most was the service. Our server was funny, knowledgeable, and gave fantastic recommendations. There's also plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. The only thing missing for me was that the décor doesn't quite match the authenticity and quality of the food, which deserves a bit more character in the atmosphere.

I made the mistake of not asking how much a double Tito's and pineapple was, expecting around $15 max. Turns out it was $24!!! and they brought it out to me room temp with no ice smh.. I even noticed they didn't charge me for it initially, so in trying to be honest I let our waiter know and imagine my surprise when I saw that it was $24!!! I've been to concerts, Cardinals games and even Old Town Scottsdale and been charged less at for this type of mix drink at all spots. Food was delicious 5/5 stars, but watch out for those mixed drink prices yo!

It was slightly better, but still not very good. We got there on a Sunday, which is crab day, so the place was packed. We 45.00 for the two of use and had around a 15 minute wait before being seated. Right off the bat, ONE of the things that irritated me was we we given two napkins apiece. If you needed more (which you will), you need to go back up front to the cashier area and get more. We went and got our first plates. One of the things I was looking forward to was the giant prawns. What a dissapointment! They had been cooked for soooo long, the flavor was gone and the texture was very tasty. Fried chicken was pretty good. The Broutworst style sausage flavor was of a spiced up hot dog. The crab wasn't bad. The only problem is they don't supply any type of cracker for the shell, so it's up to you to figure out how to open them. I grabbed a couple extra paper plates for scaps (bones, shells etc.), but the waitress was constantly reaching across the table and taking them. Finally had to tell her not to take them, but the moment I wasn't looking, gone again. It was a hit and miss with what we tried. The 'best' of what we tried was at best, mediocre. One thing that really irritated me, was when it appeared we were near the end of our meal, the waitress hovered by our table, and must have said "thank you for coming" five or six times, making us feel quite rushed. I realize they are busy, but a little courtesy would have been nice. We gave Hibachi another try, and were again, dissapointed. Way over cooked. They had been cooked
