    Squid balls
    Rou M.

Cute little restaurant. Wasn't busy on a Saturday afternoon. I was impressed with how fast unit food got ready since we had a larger party. They had high chair and booster chairs available for kids. We got squid balls as appetizer and it was delicious and super crisp. The ramen was just ok for me. I didn't love the soup base flavor but everything else in there was great. The pork was nice and crisp. I got chicken fried rice for the kids and it tasted great. We were celebrating a birthday and they were so accommodating. FYI the parking spots are very tight right in front of the restaurant but luckily plenty of parking further away.

This ramen spot is very good. The server is nice, the space is intimate and offers a calm environment. We had the stewed pork ramen, the spicy miso ramen, and pork gyoza. This place is also in a shopping center that has a movie theater and a boba tea spot nearby. This is a great spot for a nice meal.

I had a pick up order and ordered the yellowtail special roll and a few other items for my coworkers. I received the food and I noticed that my roll looked like sashimi instead of a roll. So i went back and asked the worker if this is correct and he went to the back to ask and they said yes. I was already being stared at like a karen so i just decided to just not keep asking and left. But im just so confused to be honest. Does this look like a roll or sashimi?

Everytime we're in the area we try to go here. Ramen is so good we'll eat it when it's 100 degrees out. Sushi is pretty good too. Very quiet and clean restaurant for sure.

Love this Ramen spot! The A2 Spicy Miso Ramen is my favorite. The flavor of the broth is amazing! Come with nice a decent amount of thick chashu pork. The most chashu I've ever received at any ramen place. My cousin had the A3 Shabu Beef Ramen and enjoyed everything about it except the beef. It tough, chewy and they only gave the tinest amount. Besides that everything else was on point. Looks like it's run by a husband and wife couple that are very nice and always smiling. I'll be back soon!

Absolutely delicious -- this is officially my new favorite ramen spot. Everything was so flavorful and comforting, you can tell a lot of care goes into the food. The restaurant itself is super clean and really cute, which made the experience even better. Customer service was amazing too -- friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Can't wait to come back!

Stopped by on Saturday, 09/21/24 for the first time during lunch. Dined in and ordered the following - 1 Fried Chicken Ramen = $14.95 - 1 Seafood Ramen = $16.95 - 1 Shabu Beef Rice = $15.95 - 1 Calamari = $7.98 SUBTOTAL = $55.83 TAX = $4.33 TIP = $10 TOTAL = $70.16 Delicious!!! I specifically ordered the seafood ramen for myself and wish there were more seafood. Had some fish balls, shrimp, scallops and mussel (only one). Regardless 5/5. Very small inside yet pretty spacious.

    Carolyn W.

5 stars for their tonkotsu ramen - chasu pork great, plenty of toppings, 2 eggs, yummy noodles, and non oily delicious broth. Adequate portion size, good service, and nice atmosphere. This is a gem of a place that needs to be shared for ramen lovers. Leaves your stomach feeling happy and full.

I've eaten here twice in the past few months and have really enjoyed the food both times. Yesterday, I had the Shabu beef ramen. The flavor was excellent but the amount of meat was a bit lacking. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was small but cozy. This isn't the best ramen I've ever had, but it's hard to beat unless you drive closer to Los Angeles. If you're craving ramen near Chino, I'd highly recommend giving this a try.

Food was delicious and they did not mind me removing items and replacing them for something else. Service was phenomenal. They are very attentive. The restaurant is clean, has ample space, and good amount of parking.

This place never disappoints. I had spicy miso was delicious. Also had unagi rice no picture because we ate it already also delicious

Ask the Community - Uminoya ramen

Does the vegetarian ramen contain any fish products or egg in the noodles?

    No

Is this business open at all? I've been calling with no success. It doesn't help that I can't place order via Yelp.

They were closed for awhile at the beginning of the pandemic. They are open now and answer the phones to call in orders as of nov. 2020.

One thing to keep in mind is that the bowls don't automatically include the salted egg, so you'll have to shell out a few extra dollars if you want that classic topping. While the meal itself was a hit, the logistics of the meal were a bit more frustrating. The service was fairly lackluster and felt mostly absent; we waited quite a while for attention, and the overall pace was very slow. It's the kind of place where you have to be proactive if you need a refill or the check. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant is a major concern. Everything felt "sticky" from the tables to the floors and the bathrooms were definitely not well-maintained. It's hard to fully enjoy a premium-priced meal when the environment feels a bit neglected. On a brighter note, the location is very convenient. Since it's tucked into a large strip mall, parking is incredibly easy and stress-free, which isn't always the case in Chino Hills. If you are a "food first" person who doesn't mind a bit of grit and slow service, the ramen is worth a try, but the management could definitely step up the cleaning

I looked around and there were only 4 tables occupied leaving a good amount open. Now I understand they have takeout orders so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. We waited 5 min to be acknowledged and it was a brief "we'll be right with you guys" to us and 2 other parties. Then a young girl with dark long hair in a pony tail completely gazed over us (we were first in line at the counter where the sign said please wait to be seated) and looked at the couple behind us and said I can seat you guys. My spouse said, "we were actually waiting first." And she said oh okay come with me. She sat us in the back by the restrooms at a DIRTY table that had not been wiped down not floor cleaned. I had to step over 3 crumpled up napkins and food residue to be sat at a table that had spilled water and soy sauce on it. Rather than apologize and seat us at the next table, she moved on to the next guests, so we took it upon ourselves to move tables because that is just disgusting and poor sanitary conditions. Then it was about 10 minutes later that she came back with waters which we appreciated. She did not let us know she would be back to take our order, instead she went to the next table and handed them their waters and offered to take their order. I went to use the restroom closest to the tables and let me say it was appalling. Trash overflowing, paper towels on the floor, the paper towel holder falling off the wall. Just Gross. After coming back I asked my spouse if she came around yet and he said no. We felt ignored, dismissed, and not cared about as customers. So we left. And we will not be returning. Really disappointed in the staff and this experience as we have been here before and have never experienced this with other staff members/the males working. The Gen Z staff need to be appropriately trained on communication, manners, and etiquette when guests arrive. You don't ignore people, you greets them and acknowledge them. Had we been acknowledged or communicated with we would completely understand. Would not recommend.

It's popular with the community it's located in. We went on a week day night. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Good amount of other customers at table and counter bar seating. We got counter seating for 3 people. No wait. For our dinner, we got the: spicy miso tonkotsu, miso, and the sukiyaki broths, which were all decently solid. A bit light, but not too salty or dehydrating at the least. We all used sauce generously with our order, so maybe we should have sipped more soup or cooked more things in it longer? But we've never had this issue with other shabu places I've been to. For meats, we got the regular sized for all and had the angus beef chuck prime, beef toro, and lamb. Decent quality meat. Slices weren't too thin or too thick. Meat didn't cook and dry up immediately like worse places I've been to. All of our food came with a veggie plate and I will admit some of the lettuce/cabbage leaves weren't the cleanest or crispest so we didn't eat as much of the veggies as we'd like... We also ordered nigiri sushi on the side, which is just okay. Usually we wouldn't get something like that unless it came with the meal like an AYCE. Decent quality salmon, lots of rice and extra arbs on top of your meal though. Overall, it's okay.
