That said... the bathroom needs immediate attention. It was rough, definitely had me a little worried, and I said a very serious prayer over my food before eating. Thankfully the food was GREAT and I didn't get sick, which is why I'm still giving a good review. But whoever is managing the place, please clean up the restroom situation. She suggested sweet plantains to go with it and white rice with beans which is traditional Cuban (instead of yellow rice). IT WAS FABULOUS! It was crispy on the outside and juicy. The mole was flavorful but not spicy and i appreciated that the meat was not dripping in sauce. My dinner date ordered chicken tamales which were seasoned in a Cuban style with yellow rice. She is used to Mexican tamales but said these really hit the spot! The only blemish on the nice was her second margarita which was the cucumber one which she didn't like at all. Its ambiance is welcoming and very unpretentious. Very casual and authentic. The menu is complete. It literally has everything you would want in a Mexican restaurant. I have to say that the taco varieties are amazing and very flavorful. The micheladas are very good and refreshing. You must try the taco de lengua and the tripa.... but in reality they are all good and their sauces are perfect. (Maybe not too spicy) but it is something you can always ask for more.
