I ordered this online through DoorDash but man oh man the potato salad is the best highly recommend 10/10 as well with the fried chicken and cornbread !! The ribs are good although meat won't come off the bone but even with that it is not at all dry,sausage links are great got a little kick to them. As for the MAC and CHEESE if you like cheesy Mac and lots of cheese you should def try it,it's seasoned properly too although personally not one of my faves because it is too cheesy Portions for the plates are not at all small !! First time here. Zero Expectations. The dining in area is a bit small. May comfortably seat about 15 people. I ordered the half rack of ribs dinner with corn on the cob and potato salad as my sides with cornbread and a Sunkist Strawberry canned soda. Food was ready in about 10 minutes. I chose to dine in, and it was very clean with extra paper towels at every table. The ribs, absolutely amazing. Everything about them was delicious. Caramelized exterior, juicy interior. Meat was just excellent. Potato salad still had potato skins in em. Absolutely incredible. The cornbread, was incredible. Corn on the cob was whatever. Maybe a dab of butter would've hit the spot. I'm going to give Uncle Andre's 3 stars because I want them to improve. I've been going for years and every so often I get a bad attitude or rudeness. I'm a long time supporter of your company, when you see my face I would expect that this fact is appreciated. Multiple occasions...closed. Closed at random. Multiple times, "No lunch special today". Okay...why? There are two owners from what I can tell. One is lightskinned, this guy has a great demeanor and is kind. Then there is the dark skinned heavyweight guy. Attitude, unless you catch him on a good day. The attitude isn't consistent. The business hours are not consistent. The service isn't consistent. If I didn't like the light skinned owner, I would give 1 star. Again, I'm doing this so you KNOW and can do something about the issues. Me personally, as a long time customer, I was turned off by the "no lunch specials today". I haven't been back since and I will not be going back ever. As an African American business, I want you to do well. But not another dime of mine will touch your register. read more

This food is so good. I'm from the south, so I'm picky about my Mac and cheese and fried chicken. I usually don't order it most places because they never get it right. I got fried chicken tenders for my first time trying this place (hard to mess up chicken tenders lol) and they are delicious and fresh. The flour is well seasoned and the chicken is tender and flavorful. I chose Mac and cheese and red beans and rice for my sides. Everything literally tastes homemade and they serve generous portions. It's not bland chicken with sauce over it like most places now are doing. The red beans and rice are super flavorful. It's WELL worth the price. I ordered on DoorDash and my food came HOT. We ordered a variety of things and everything was delicious. Like you don't know what to take a bite of next sort of delicious. We got links, baby back ribs, fried chicken along with Mac & cheese, potato salad, baked beans and fries. We paired it at home with a Pinot noir and we were so happy! They were super nice too but I have to be honest. They should get a smoker an try different types of sauce. Also don't add the sauce until you're done grilling. The sugar just burns and you get charred black spots. That's carcinogen laced and should never be eaten. Look at what the best spots do and do that. Tried to order the beef slab for $19.95 that is on the a la cart menu but the guy making the food waved me off rudely and said they don't have a $20 beef slab only a $25 order, I said that was fine and the wait wasn't to bad but when I got home and opened the container I was really disappointed it was just 3 ribs that barely had meat on them. Taste was great but price and amount of meat wasn't worth it. Might give them another chance in the future maybe. read more

If you wanna be a BBQ Boss you'll have to get through the Uncle first! First thing you'll notice when you exit the car is that charred, breezy, loving smoky aura drawing you into its gravitational field. The second thing you'll notice (if you're from San Diego) is the Charger memorabilia. The 3rd thing is the commotion going on in the kitchen. There's some real wizardry happening in that smoky, charred coal cave. I dare not stare too long. Uncle's has only served to further solidify my observation that the simple BBQ joint will always emerge victorious. Having a small menu allows for the supreme focus on making a few things great instead many things average. Tri-Tip sammy for me and the Brisket sam for my better-half. The Brisk was a bit fatty for her but the Tri-Tip is the Mike Tyson Glove of Victory in the air. One can not underestimate bun quality in this battle. A+! Fries are wavy and spiced a bit like Red Robin but not overdone. The Peach Cobbler is conversation inducing and worth the trip alone. I imagine it bench-pressing a cool glob of French vanilla in the July heat. Pro-Tip: Wait times can take around 20-30mins, so call ahead if you can. If not, go check out the Brady Bunch House down the road while you wait. read more
