Uncle Earnies had the most amazing pizza and today it didn't taste or look the same! The toppings were sparse with cheese and sauce coming through. It used to be loaded with toppings!! I don't like leaving negative reviews but we gave this pizza spot so many chances over the last 2 years since we moved into the area. We really wanted to love it since the pizzas were incredible at first, but they have not been the same since the first few times. Staff members are constantly bickering and yelling at each other. They sent us home with 2 completely incorrect pizzas and we had to go back and wait for them to make the 2 pizzas we actually ordered. Very frustrating when you just want a quick easy dinner. Living in the valley my whole life, there are only a few businesses that come to mind when I think of community participation, service, and staples of small business with hard working character. When I think of Chatsworth 4 of them come to mind. Los Toros, Munch Box, Les Sisters', and Finally Uncle Ernie's. So it pains me to see such a community giant fall into the hands of someone who, over the last 2 years has slowly ripped the soul out of this place. I'm not one of those people that talk friendly to staff or get to know them but I do make observations. For example I came to learn the business was sold to the owner of amazing Siam around 2 years ago. When the original owner was in charge ( God rest his soul) the place was an absolute hit! He was always present and it was always a delight to see him leading his staff. But oh my how he must be rolling in his grave if he could see the state of his creation. Massive drop in quality of produce and individual ingredients. It also seems like brand new staff?? The owner completely replaced people that I've seen working there for years for his own (I'm assuming Thai) staff. I have nothing against the people but it feels like everything is being replaced and they are no longer a family. What was once a well trained and quick staff has now become absolutely abysmal. The last time I went in the person trying to help me couldn't speak English??? Luckily the manager was there to help me instead but what if he wasn't? I just don't order? While it seems like all the new owner cares about is money they are sure letting a lot be lost through low quality food and absolutely terrible staff choices. The few familiar faces I do see seem absolutely exhausted from picking up the slack. Where is the owner??? Do they care? You couldn't keep the original owner away! He was helpful and kind and made me feel welcome. If I wanted to have low quality food I'd go to McDonald's. If I wanted to have over priced food I'd go to a CPK. My son picked up the food and they put pepperoni salami on the salad. I called and very nicely explained the error. They offered to fix it. My son drive back to exchange it. I've been a faithful customer for over 20 years, but I've had it with them. It was wonderful when Steve owned and ran it. I miss him so. This most recent time, I ordered online for pickup through ChowNow. I was told it would take half an hour. It actually took a full hour. And then, as has happened again and again in recent times, they got the order wrong, forgetting to give me the dressing that goes with the salad I ordered. This weekend, I ordered an XL pizza and some "boneless" wings. I placed the order for carry out and was told the order would be ready in approximately 30 minutes. My son and I walked over to pick up. When I placed the order, I spoke with a young lady. We asked the status and the workers looked at each other and had no idea. I told them what I had ordered and even the dollar amount. The young man went on to say that the order had never been put in and they would put it on now. No discount or apologies were offered. When my daughters and I came back to pick up we should have spot checked our order because when we got back to our room, we discovered they had given us bone-in wings. My fav pizza spot. It's a bit on the pricier side, but you're paying for quality and supporting a local business. My favorite is the garlic pizza. Ask for extra sauce. Trust. Their salad is also really good as well. Basically anything with the pesto ranch is amazing. They do have weird hours sometimes. I have placed an order close to closing before to have it get canceled so place the order an hr before they close. The overall space is nice, but there's no room to sit and eat. Grilled pastrami, onions, mushrooms, mustard, jalapeños, diced pickles, this is a MUST. It's super dense, so two slices are gonna be enough to fill you up. The sharpness of the pastrami with the onions almost tastes like the pizza has a BBQ base, but it doesn't. Might actually work well to try and dip it. Reluctantly posting this review because of untrustworthy service. We have enjoyed ordering every Monday until a few weeks ago. Our usual order was over an hour and a half late when we called. They claimed it was "on the way." An hour afterward we called again. Pizza finally arrived around 8ish (via obviously upset delivery guy-Scott) from our original 5pm order. At least they gave a half refund for our inconvenience. Ordered again next week and was pleasantly surprised to see Scott arrive so quickly and told him he rocks! How coincidentally correct it would seem when I bit into a rock inside my pizza. Fortunately, I didn't break a tooth. I called their Manager-Trevor to let him know about it and sent a video I took with the rock clinking against my plate (pic shown below).
