I've been to Uncle Lees twice. All dishes were excellent and large and the price was moderate. We sat down one time and took out the second time. We always over order so left overs were a good lunch the next day. Dishes we liked were Prawns with snow peas, General Tso's chicken, Moo-shu chicken, mango salad with shrimp. Enjoy! read more

The cleanliness of the restaurant, open window to pick up my order, and well-packaged food were perfect for these pandemic days and made me feel safe. Unfortunately, the main star of the show, the food, underperformed. The noodles, with an unpleasing texture, were way too salty and all we could taste was salt. The meat was also soggy and the sauce was again, overwhelmingly salty and the taste fell flat. Vegetables were overcooked and barely any were included in the dishes. The order was captured beautifully//and an extra spring roll was thrown in to balance out the number for my order which consisted of four main dishes with rice and actually served five. Nice family run restaurant. When we went in to pick up our order we were promptly greeted and our food was ready on time. The potstickers were amazing! They were cooked properly rather than just being thrown into a deep fryer. They were full of flavor, juicy on the inside and nicely crispy on the bottom. We also ordered almond fried chicken. I live in Montana and EVERY time I come to Seattle Ive come here for the last 20 years off an on. Ive traveled thru most states and ate at ALOT of Asian restaurants. So when I say that this is by far my favorite place in the country please take that with every once of weight it entails. The house fried rice alone is worth the visit let alone the sweet and sour chicken (which comes as a breaded patty chicken katsu style) and is the best Ive ever had anywhere! Service was great at the point of pick up. I think it was the owner or the owner's wife who was handling takeout orders - super warm and friendly, truly embodying the Seattle spirit of goodwill. We decided we wanted to support Asian owned restaurants right now during the corona outbreak so we googled Chinese places in the area and found this. I'm shocked I've never even heard of it or come across it. Anyways, it was delicious! Owned by one guy- I assumed his name is Lee. He was very friendly. The food was delicious, very clean and nice place. Only knocked 1 star cause it was a little expensive. $50 for 2 to go to lunch and we just got 1 entree each and an appetizer, nothing else. Mr Lee and Amie are amazing. The food is fabulous and the inside atmosphere is nice and relaxing. It appears the have college students who help with service and you can tell Mr Lee pays close attention to the hiring because each wait staff is so professional and pleasant. I have been coming to this family owned restaurant for over 25 years. They have a brand new location and it is very nice. We had all of our favorites as well as a couple of the new dishes they offered from the Thai menu. The folks who ordered the Thai dishes said it was the best they've ever had. I can't believe i've never reviewed Uncle Lees! It's the best Chinese in Seattle that I've had. Hands down the very best service. So super nice! The food is solid. I love the fresh rolls and Tom Kha. I know, not Chinese but they do a really good version of both. The rice noodle dishes are great. Broccoli beef is delicious. Lemon Chicken is a plus. So super crispy huge cutlet. The sauce is the gloppy sweet stuff. The only thing i've had here that I did not like is the pad thai. I hate to admit I love the ketchuppy kind. This is probably more authentic. Rice is extra. My family and I used to go here ever since I was born. We went here so often we became friends with the owner, who is the sweetest person you will ever meet! Now that many of us were back in town we thought it would be fun to go back for old times sake. And boy this places hasn't changed one bit. The menu is the same as I remember it, the tables and booths are all the same and thankfully the owner is still there and she even remembered my family and me... sharply pointing out that I "was the baby." I'm amazed she recognized me! We got some of our old time favorites including the hot and sour soup, moo-shu pork, prawns in black bean sauce, sizzling chicken, and Buddha's delight. The hot and sour soup is definitely one of my favorites. It's perfect for the cold fall and winters in Seattle. The prawns in black bean sauce is also great. The plum sauce for the moo-shu pork is awesome so make sure to ask for more if you need it. The service is good and very quick. Plus you get free tea and fortune cookies! Pretty good! Coming from MT, it's always nice to get some more authentic cuisine. I had Lee's Udon Noodles and the noodles and veggies were undercooked but it was still a nice change. Our party of four were are greeted warmly by the owners, seated in a great window booth, and treated to simply excellent service at every turn. The people are really nice and the packaging was great. The food is incredibly disappointing, and still would be if this place was cheaper. The Kung Pao chicken had a nice amount of heat but was incredibly bland in terms of flavor, and overloaded with nuts. The beef with broccoli was unremarkable and also fairly bland. Fried rice was like steamed rice mixed with cooked frozen mixed vegetables. Spring rolls- greasiest ones I've ever seen and again, bland. I wanted to try this place since it's on my way home, but I'll never eat there again. Snappy Dragon is a hundred times better and not that far away. read more

Food here is actually OK. We were told they were actually out of several items on a week night (not like this is horribly fresh or complex). Service however, may be the worst of any establishment I have ever experienced. Service is VERY POOR - even if its a week night it seemingly takes forever. We use to go to China Village back in the day - but we will not be back in the new location. This is the second time here in the new location where the service was just terrible.
