    Sweet and sour chicken
    Cathy H.

The service is quick, kind and thoughtful. I just missed the lunch, so I ordered sweet and sour chicken with a side of rice and hot tea. The sauce is definitely homemade and delicious, the vegetables fresh, the only downfall is that they pound the chicken breast way too thin. All I could taste is the breading. I would definitely come back and try a different dish.

Went for lunch. A lot of indoor seating very friendly staff, very clean inside, lot of free street parking nearby. Food was very good and tasty, would come back again. Owner was very friendly and said that they've been open for 40 years.

We arrived Sunday around 7 and parked right out front on the street. The restaurant was Empty. A nice lady greeted us and took our orders. The decor is simple, clean, and welcoming. We came here for the salt and pepper crispy tofu. It's one of my favorite dishes of all time! GET IT! We asked for chicken recommendation and ordered the general tso and a half order of string beans. The tofu was to die for - so crispy and flavorful. The string beans were super yummy with garlic and scallion. The chicken had huge pieces and lots of crispy goodness in a garlicky sweet and spicy sauce. The fortune cookies with the check were also quite tasty. The only downside here is the steep prices. Everything we had was top quality. I'd pay a lot for the tofu and find it worth it :)

Best Chinese in Seattle! Everything is done so well, not super greasy like your typical Chinese meal. Favorite dish is the salt & pepper chicken (not on the menu, secret order!) Their spicy wontons and potstickers are great appetizers. Then we got the lo mein, fried rice, and salt and pepp chicken. Also the sweetest people own this place and have forever! They deserve to be known!

We had a group of 12 come in after the WIAA High School State Championship game on Saturday 12/2. Amy and Mr Lee treated us like family and filled our belly's full of amazing food! What a beautiful family and amazing restaurant! We have been eating at China Village since our boys were little and it was our first time at the new restaurant location. Bravo!!! 5 stars all the way!!

True story...drove an hour and a half for a vasectomy in Sand Point on my Birthday of all days. Found the best yelp rated restaurant in the area. Ordered 4 dishes to go for my post-surgery meals. It was 2 pm so pretty slow in the restaurant, and the owner Uncle Lee greeted me at the door. He laughed at the amount of food I ordered for just me and I explained my situation. He said he gets alot of business from nervous men like me about to have surgery around the block. He welcomed me to sit and drink lots of water while I wait. I asked if the men usually have a drink before the surgery, he said ya I'll make you a strong one and he did. He sat down at the table next to me and we had the best conversation to take my mind off my pending surgery. When he found out it was my birthday also, he offered me another drink on him. I laughed and said I probably shouldn't, so he said I at least need to have a free birthday soup in the to-go bag. The food came and I still had time to kill for surgery. As I went to try the soup out of the to-go bag, he said no that's for your recovery, let me get you a new birthday soup for now. Got me a fresh bowl and it was delicious sweet-sour variation. You can tell the quality ingredients and talent used in the making of this soup. He was concerned that microwaving the food post surgery would diminish some of the dishes so he told me the best way to reheat each dish, and insisted I tried it fresh so I did and it was definitely 5 star Asian food(Chinese/Thai). After talking for 40 minutes and trying samples of his food, he wanted to meet my dogs n my truck I was talking about as he shared about his dogs. He followed me out to my truck around the block with fortune cookies for my dogs and was sooo sweet with them. Had the surgery and just ate the dishes at home and I'm very happy with each meal, the Mongolian beef is tender asf. Perfect spicy too. One of the best Mongolian Beefs I've had to be honest. He gave me extra spicy sauce just in case. Seems like only bad reviews for this place are many years old and from people in a hurry. I urge you to go enjoy not only the great traditional food, but the experience of meeting Uncle Lee and his staff. I will be back someday even though I live an hour and a half away.

The black cod was not the center of the dish literally or figuratively: it should have been labeled a black cod salad because for 35 dollars it was a giant pile of salad with a tiny sliver of cod served on the side. It is offensive to call this a main course with how the dish is plated and portioned. The rest of the menu suffers from similar compromises: the lobster rolls are pretty good but very small for 33 dollars. Some of the other menu items were a lot better in presentation and value. The mushroom risotto and the cheeseburger were some of the better items on the menu. The oysters were also very good. There's some bright spots here but the overall experience is very compromised by some landmines on the menu. I would come here specifically to sample a few oysters and for the cheeseburger but not for any other items if you are expecting an actual meal. You can easily drop 80+ dollars and leave feeling like something was missing.

We came mostly for happy hour but there wasn't much that intrigued us on the menu. We did split half a dozen oysters that were served with the most boring and basic mignonette and no lemon. The texture on the oysters was off enough to the point we hoped we wouldn't get sick later. The side salad on the happy hour menu we did enjoy, along with the burger. I'd come back for the burger and salad and that's it. The server left much to be desired and really impacted our experience. I know it's hard for restaurants to survive in Seattle with how expensive everything is. It's also expensive for people to go out to eat in this city. Definitely would prefer to spend my time and money elsewhere.

It is somewhat difficult to get a reservation, because the space here is very small and packed with tables. The one downside is that it is a little tight and can be difficult to hear. But I'll take that for the opportunity to eat here. And as long as you go in with the mindset that you might drop some serious coin on the meal, you're gonna have a phenomenal time. Because we were so close to our dining neighbors, I was actually able to ask them what they were eating since it looked so good. And that's how we ended up with some mind blowing fritters. A perfect appetizer to start the night. They have a great selection of wines that are actually reasonably priced to buy by the bottle. I'm pretty sure I saw someone taking one home that they drank a few bottles out of also, which is a first. I was impressed by the creativity of the dishes as well. I'm not one to be impressed by cabbage, or ever order it, but the charred cabbage looked enticing. The cheese on the bottom, seasoning, and dates transformed this ordinary vegetable into a star. And of course you gotta see what they're doing with the seasonal veggies. I can't seem to ever cook squash the right way, but they crafted it into the ideal consistency where it was almost meaty. That New York Strip was out of this world though... the garlic sauce that accompanied it was just enough of a flavor enhancer that it didn't take away from a steak that was cooked to the ideal temp. I'll be back for more!!

Nice that they have regular test, low test and no test drinks depending on how much alcohol you want. Food was very tasty, we had the lobster pasta and the fajitas. The chef gets creative at times and apparently edamame is in season so randomly added to the hummus even though not on the menu. The Zabuton steak was also very tender and cooked perfectly - probably as good as the ones you'd get at a good steakhouse. Dessert was also very satisfying. Both were flavorful and fizzy, and fun drinks without alcohol are always appreciated. To eat, we began with the bread. It came with 6 pieces of bread, 3 slices of 2 types. My favorite was the butter with flaky salt. It also paired well with the sauce of my duck dish. For our mains, my friend had the burger and I had the crispy duck entree. My friend said the burger and fries were good, but he felt it was overpriced as a dish, which I can agree with. The crispy duck was crispy, albeit it slightly overcooked; but it was still delicious. I really liked the accompaniment of beans and kale with bacon lardons and breadcrumbs, and the sauce was SO good that I used our extra bread to sop it up. I had a coupon for a complementary dessert, so we enjoyed the opera cake. All of the layers were tasty and went well together, and I liked how rich the chocolate ganache was. Our server was kind and provided food recommendations. The food came out quickly. The ambiance of the restaurant was upscale but not stuffy. However, it still tasted like it had a really nice flavor, and had a soft interior. It being actually spicy would've moved this dish up a lot, though each taco was primarily made out of this chicken - and there was so much of it it was practically insane - but I loved this amount shoutout to the onions as well - they were great I asked for the habanero sauce - which i thought was ok - wasn't spicy at all and didn't add much flavor. will go with another sauce next time tried mixing in some taco bell fire sauce which was interesting i love that these came wrapped in aluminium foil to preserve heat. a great touch overall, as far as taste, these were pretty good, but when you consider the amount of meat you're getting, along with overall portion size - it's simply a fantastic meal.
