Our dinners at Ichi Roll are always hot and delicious. We always get an extra side salad because they are so fresh. The people that work there are very kind and helpful. They are generous of spirit, always friendly. While there are many that come in to pick up their take-out orders, the dining space is pleasant and clean for those who choose to eat there. There is always hot tea to be had, too. Great gem of NW Seattle!

Good tasting food and friendly service! I come here often on rainy lazy afternoons. I can choose between their bubble tea for dessert or go to 7-Eleven next door. Super convenient.

Great teriyaki place! Kind staff, fresh & tasty food, good portions for the price, and spacious inside seating. Came here on a Friday evening and the parking lot was a little stressful but all and all great dinner experience, definitely check them out!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Chicken Teriyaki and Chicken Katsu. The chicken is so soft, tender, and juicy! Absolutely blown away by how yummy the food is despite its simplicity. The salad is simple but fresh and you can control the amount of dressing added. Very very generous with the amount of rice Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go. Cute shop with bright menu and simple decoration Service: 5/5 - super friendly and quick service even with the number of orders coming through online and the phone Value for price: 5/5 - huge servings, great food, amazing service. Can't ask for more! Must stop by for some yummy comfort food

Legitimately my favorite spot in Seattle. The katsu chicken is so succulent, the teriyaki sauce is never too salty, the tempura is always perfectly crisp. Ichi Roll sets my standard for teriyaki and it really is hard to beat. The only thing I actively dislike is their boba tea because it's just too sweet. The staff is always so nice as well.

Yak 1st (Teriyaki 1st) was closed, so my homie says we gotta go here. He says that the chicken quality at 1st has been declining. He says, THIS might be the new champ. It's not. Not at all. But it's great, and ordering from the very kind and patient staff didn't make me nerve sweat and heart-seize like I have been for basically the past two decades when I do from 1st. So yeah, I recommend it. But it ain't the champ. Specific recommendation: Fried rice x Spicy Chicken x extra dressings Gyoza was meh.

Good teriyaki sauce, a bit sweeter than my usual tastes. Great sushi, at least from what I've tried.

The food is where it all went south. We ordered ginger beer and the ginger beer wasn't true ginger beer (it was a soft drink with ginger flavor and almost 50 grams of sugar + all sorts of gums). Calamari 1/5 - this was one of the worse, soggy Luke warm calamari that tasted reheated. It sort of tasted like it was in a Tupperware for a while or cooked in rancid oil. Unagi Roll 1/5 - this is actually the worse roll I've ever had. The rice was like warm, the whole roll was mushy and tasted like spoiled fish oil. I've never had to spit out a sushi roll before and this was a first for me. The roll was cut Into super uneven pieces, some were unusually large and some super thin. It was so bad that unfortunately we had to send it back. Nigiri 3/5 - We got a selection of nigiri and it was better than the roll but still you can tell the fish quality just wasn't there. The salmon belly, toro, and others are supposed to taste buttery, but instead they were super stringy. I think the fish was fresh, but the quality was meh. We will not be returning here unfortunately and it's wild to see the amount of positive reviews.

Since my birthday fell on a Wednesday, we were lucky enough to have Chef Shiro Kashiba himself behind the counter preparing and serving our meal. The entire experience was incredible. The service was organized, attentive, and made the evening feel truly special. Chef Shiro Kashiba is knowledgeable, entertaining, and incredibly passionate about his craft. With every course, from salmon and tuna to white fish, mackerel, shellfish, and eel, he explained how each piece should be eaten, where the fish was sourced, and even shared personal stories from his career. It felt like he was telling a story through every piece of sushi he prepared, making the experience both captivating and unforgettable. Chef Shiro Kashiba is truly inspiring. It was also wonderful to see that everyone seated at our counter had traveled from out of state just to experience his omakase, which speaks volumes about his reputation. This was, without a doubt, the best sushi omakase experience I've ever had. The fish was exceptionally fresh, and every bite was thoughtfully prepared. The flavors were unlike any sushi I've had before and gave me a whole new appreciation for how extraordinary sushi can be when it's crafted by a chef with such deep knowledge and experience. I would absolutely love to come back again. I left feeling completely satisfied and fulfilled, yet hungry for more of this amazing sushi experience. I will be dreaming of this until my next visit to Seattle. We also had a bento box which included tuna with jalapeño, salmon sashimi, rice, tofu, and green beans and tomatoes and calamari. We also ordered the Seattle roll, which was delicious. We shared all these items between the two of us and it was more than enough food. Reasonably priced for a sushi lunch. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient! I was here probably 10 to 15 years ago and I didn't realize it until I walked in the door. I hope it's not that long before I get back again.

I love this concept. I'm not much of a roll person bc it's always pricey and then you have to eat all 6-8 pieces, so this was right up my alley. We loved it so much, we came here 2x when we were in Seattle. And even our first time we had to get seconds. All the sushi from the beginning are rolls, and near the end they are nigiris. So save some space for the good stuff at the end. The first time during lunch hour, they kept restocking the sushi, and they even had bluefin tuna nigiri at the very end! Score!! I'm more of a nigiri person so I got half rolls and half nigiri. Of course this isn't like fancy restaurant sushi, but more of like casual dining sushi and bc there were so many people, it was fresh bc it was a high turnover. Sushi quality was decent. Reminded me of just like an AYCE sushi quality. You won't get sick, but don't expect Jiro Dream of Sushi quality here. lol. The other time we went was during dinner of 1 hour before they close, the selection wasn't as good as they didn't have bluefin tuna nigiri, but still worth it and didn't cost us an arm and leg to get sushi. I hope someone catches this concept in San Diego! It's so clever. Love it and would love to come back again.

The popular sashimi plate had sockeye salmon, scallops, king salmon, yellowtail, snapper, and shima aji. 3-4 slices per fish so total about 20ish pieces for $ 75 dollars. Also included salmon roe. Ask which fish is in the plate since it seems to change. Service was good. They serve distilled water which is appropriate for eating raw dish so you actually taste the fish and not the tap water. The star of the night was the miso black cod. Soft buttery and flavorful. Just enough miso to bring out the sweetness of the fish. Some may find it not flavorful enough. It depends on if you are looking for fish flavor or seasoning flavor in my opinion. The only down side is that it's a fatty cut of fish so by the third piece it can be a bit heavy. Ended up cutting the fat with a bit of lemon toward the end and using the shredded pink diakon. For the price of $ 17 dollars, it is quite a good deal as other spots in the area would charge more or give less.
