The most overpriced pizza I've ever had and I've had a lot of deep dish expensive pizzas in Chicagoland area. Even with the coupon I was disappointed in how expensive it is for what you get. The sauce on the pizza was probably the thing that stood out the most as it tasted very fresh but again not worth the price. read more

We hadn't tried Uncle Pete's in quite a few years, but came by to pick up a small (12") thin crust, sausage and mushroom this time. It's always nice to support a long time Naperville merchant, and they are pretty long at 30 years. They are also very convenient for us, the pizza is piping hot when we get home, and they are open til at least midnight 7 nites a week (1am on Fri and Sat). The toppings were very good, fresh, and generous, but what kept them from getting a higher quality rating on the pizza was the crust which was on the bland side, and not particularly crispy. At $9.95 (with the perpetually available $2 coupon), it was still a decent product though and we'll be back again sometime. read more

This place has been here for over 36 years or something like that, so you know they must be good (even if there are some a few people who write bad reviews). We recently moved here and this is the best of the pizza places we have tried. My favorite is the extra thin crust. The Abe Froman and the Southern Italian are awesome! Get extra sauce too. So disappointed. Moved here to Naperville 3 years ago. Every time I've ordered a 20" pizza, it's uncooked and basically raw. Please ask them to cook it well. Friday I ordered a 20" pizza with sliced tomatoes and mushrooms. When we picked it up, it was raw and a sloppy mess. Not to mention, waited 20 minutes for a pizza i ordered 1-1/2 hours earlier for. Based on pizza taste alone, the one time I tried it, I was not a fan. It was an Uncle Pete's special (regular crust) and the pizza was undercooked (which happens, so we just stuck pieces in the oven to bake a few more minutes), and overall the dough and veggies were great and fresh. The sausage was fine, nothing great or terrible. It has a generous amount of cheese, which is normally my thing. However, this cheese was bland. Really bland. It tasted like American cheese (oily/watery/smooth-melting) if American cheese's flavor was supposed to come from mozzarella instead of cheddar/colby. And the cheese needed salt. I'm hoping it was just a fluke, like they ran out of their normal cheese and had to use something different. Would try again if the cheese normally tastes different than it did yesterday (10/11/22). read more

I saw a $3 off coupon in the Sunday papers and I thought I would try out this pizza joint out. Turns out, Uncle Pete's has been in Naperville for years and this is my first time going! I got an x-large thin crust mushroom pizza for about $21 and it was 100% worth it- one of the best thin crust pizzas I've had in a long time! It fed 3 starving people (including myself) and there was still a quarter of the pizza left. To use as a reference, the people there said that xl thin crust would feed about 5 people. The mushroom to cheese ratio wasn't perfect (I could use more mushrooms since there was A LOT of cheese on the pizza), but it was still great. The mushrooms tasted fresh and sauce tasted just like Giordano's sauce (my fav deep dish place in Chicago area). Next time, I think I'll try the stuffed pizza since there are so many good reviews...on the other hand I'm a sucker for a solid thin crust pizza esp. in the MidWest :/ No sit-down tables in the restaurant- just pick-up or delivery. read more

The staff in the back which is only 1 person was really friendly and made sure your order was made correctly. The back prep area was spotless from what I saw. Well... the guy who took our pizza order was extremely annoyed with Us. However... I willll admit we did arrive to them 15-20 minutes before closing. And I get it, I've worked at multiple restaurants before. It issss annoying when customers come to the restaurant close to closing and you are trying to pre-close etc. but the professional thing to do is not act like a jerk. We got a thin crust pizza with pepperoni but forgot to have them cut it like a pie (I will never understand the Chicago tic tac toe board slicing method), but it was still good and big enough that many pieces had at least some crust. Great pizza. Get the double dough as it is a great combination of being slightly thicker with extra crust and extra cheese. Also they use quality ingredients. If you really want a lot of cheese you can go for the stuffed pizza (it comes with pounds of pizza). Owner is always friendly as well. Just moved into Naperville and our family has tried about a half dozen pizza joints. Uncle Pete's is the best. It is the first time our entire family of six agrees on a favorite. Veggie is good. My favorite is mushroom and sausage. Just the right size of crumbled Italian sausage. Plain cheese is a hit as well. I'm a fan of cold pizza in the morning. If you want cold pizza for breakfast you may want to pass on sliced tomatoes - they get a bit mushy in the fridge. Great pizza - highly recommend Uncle Pete's. read more

To me, it had too much cheese but my first job was at a pizza place and if there's one thing I know,it's that people love their cheese and extra cheese pizzas. Uncle Pete's is one of my favorite pizza joints for delivery. (There is no dining room.) The pizza is my kind of pizza...the crust is not too thick or too thin...it's just right! They offer a decent gluten free crust. The owner, (at least I assume he is the owne), works often and frequently answers the phone to take your order. He's a pretty cool guy...down to earth and has a sense of humor. I know that's not the most important things one looks at when ordering pizza, but at least I feel good about patronizing the place! I like the crust and really enjoy their sauce...just the right consistency and hint of sweetness. It reminds me of the kind of pizza I enjoyed when growing up. We've only had their thin crust so that's all I can comment on. They have the perfect balance of sauce and cheese, and their toppings are fantastic. I usually stick with my pepperoni and mushroom.. They have nice thick mushrooms, not thinly sliced ones that shrivel up when cooked. My husband is a huge fan of their cajun sausage, which I haven't seen on the topping list of many pizza joints. Their garlic cheese bread which is made with fresh ciabatta bread is PHENOMENAL, even when thrown in the oven and heated up the next day. You won't find anything except pizza and garlic bread on their menu- they stick to what they are good at. We always get delivery which is probably a good thing because it wasn't until last month I actually went to their location. I must say if I was driving by I probably wouldn't stop by. Just a little hole in the wall, old wood paneling and a counter where you pay. It opens up to their huge pizza kitchen where they work all their magic. No thrills here.
